I read this manga so you don't have to.
Frankly, it's not a good series. It's a crashing and burning train wreck in every sense of the word. But one that you just cannot avert your eyes from. It's so bad, but you want to see the development, you want to see them being happy, you want to see a good ending. But it seems like the characters and the mangaka themselves had other plans in store.
It's filled with forced overbearing melodrama that would make Sasuga Kei's Domestic Girlfriend seem like a fluffy SoL in comparison. Its settings and characters act so unreasonably that would make

If you love yuri drama and overly complicated love triangles, this is your series. If you're a person who immediately gets put off because people, including the main character are liars, don't read it. That's literally the premise. The art is good, and I like how this story gets into how some people can struggle with finding same sex partners and how easy it is to ruin friendships along the way. The other yuri stories I usually see just have the main girls wake up to being lesbians the moment they see their other half, so it was pretty fresh for me. The setting is

When I started reading Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto desu!, I didn't have high hopes because the premise felt like the typical protagonist with a fake facade. But after a few chapters, I realized I was wrong.
The Café Liebe is actually super interesting because it sets the stage for all these different relationships, like the "sister" roles the characters take on. Even though these relationships aren't real, they hold a lot of weight. It's basically a café where they have to act, but it’s fascinating to see how they behave outside of those roles. Then there’s Hime, who’s honestly the best character in the manga. She’s ... Oct 17, 2021
Every time the word 'facade' was said I wanted to shoot myself, this social gold-diggery is not entertaining.
The story focuses on a girl who get's tricked into working at a maid cafe. A cafe with the gimmick of being in the fictional universe of a school's cafe, they have fake identities and senpai-kouhai relationships. Which, the management end of the manga was interesting, but the dramatic writing of the characters is beyond bland. The protagonist, who I've shed her name from my memory, is completely unlikable, and the likable character's barely have any screentime. I can't recommend for anyone who's here for any charming ... First up, I need to say this: the art is really beautiful and gorgeous! Whoever drew it, really has some talent. It's sad that this talent is wasted with such a toxic story.
I set it to "not recommended", because I wouldn't. Thing is, sadly it is enjoyed by a lot of people. I don't know why and I probably won't ever understand. If you're into shallow relationships and just like girls being lovey-dovey with each other, even if it's just an act, then this might be for you. It's tagged comedy but it's more of a drama. I laughed maybe twice throughout the 2 volumes ... May 24, 2024
I enjoyed this manga for quite a bit, which is why I'd been following it this far in the first place, but this is it for me now.
It feels like the manga is non-progressing now, every chapter starts feeling dull and the same as before, I don't even want to follow the dialogue anymore. Characters were interesting at first, but the way the actual romance aspect has been unfolding, I can't say I enjoy it at all. I once jokingly said that this manga is Citrus but without the mental torture of reading it, turns out, a lot of Citrus's negative aspects are present here too, even ... Jul 31, 2024
I'm a 30 year old, I started reading this manga a few months ago, and now I can't stop reading it, the story is beautiful and captivating. The characters are never predictable, there is always a twist, which makes the situations evolve, the unclear feelings that try to come out, which then culminate in the endings, the drawings are excellent, even the expressions are made to express the characters' feelings, and make the scenes more real. I really don't know how to write a good review, I'm now a fan of the series, I can only say that I recommend it, and that if

Mediocre at best.
It's a mess, it started of very enjoyable and a with quick start wich made me hope for the best. That however was quickly turned into a drag to read it. Every chapter i had to push myself to read further since i was curious but i just wanted to give it up. Hence why i dropped it after Volume 2. It just isn't worth your time when there are many better yuri manga's out there. There is nothing outstanding in this manga, the art was fair but didn't save the story with it. I liked the way certain notes explained alot since the ... |
