Reads like Gantz 2.0 so much that it's surprising it isn't authored by Oku Hiroya. Features a selfish MC that develops. Starrs wacky monsters for brutal fights, features explicit content routinely and has a mascot for comedy relief between fights. It's like someone fused Gantz with Parasyte: The Maxim.

Supernatural powers spread like a disease, and the power they receive will be based on their desires. The power can take over if they are not careful in controlling them and their desires, which will turn them into a disgusting monster. Both have horror and action, both have romantic subplots, both have lots of death.

In both manga's the main character obtains power from a strange organism. This power would usually turn the character into a monster of sorts, however our protagonist is an exception and fights these monsters. Along the way he meets allies and enemies alike. Both manga is packed full of action and is an interesting read.

Unpredictability at its finest. Both of these stories can be gruesome, epic, make you laugh and feel uncomfortable all at the same time. Nobody is safe from anything and that makes for two of the most exhilarating experiences you can ask for in manga.

They both set in worlds where people turn into monsters due to their inner desires, in Libidors it's specifically about sex, while Jagaaaaaan's can be anything. Our main characters in both can control their desires to fight against the monsters.

Superb artstyle. The authors are not afraid of illustrating controversial matters such as rape, gore and brutal massacres. Both the mangas being 'rather f#cked up' without it being a weakness. Rare seeing such daring mangas showcased in such popular magazines.

Dark and psychological, with the MC being an "average" person who becomes a half monster. Creative with its plot points and tackles interesting themes.

These two manga both have a lot of battle royale moments and both contain a lot of human to monster transformation. The art in both manga are fabulous and similarly dark. The same can be said about the action and horror.

Both are biopunk manga that deals with the hidden desires of their characters. Fight scenes are amazing where the characters mutate their bodies into mutated warriors. The main weapon of both Mc's is a form of a gun and they become more cold-blooded as the series progresses. Both involve a love interest that needs to be saved.

Dudes with savior complexes who're actually horrible people. I am a Hero and Jagaaaaaan both follow the story of a morally reprehensible protagonist who find themselves in an apocalypse like setting and are tasked to somewhat "save the world". They're faced by a seemingly unstopable force that starts controling the minds of ordinary citizens and are forced to make alliances to pursue their goal, if you can call it that. Both manga touch on very mature themes and often make use of philosophical concepts as well as ethical dilemmas. They're also very graphic and use gore/body horror as big drivers for their respective plots. They  read more

A tragic occurrence in the past has shifted the personalities and visions on how the main characters see life. Those scars have left a mark that doesn't ever leave, and cause them to become a psychopath who often does not know what's good and bad anymore, only their own goals are what's important to them. <>Shinai naru Boku e Satsui wo Komete is more mysterious than Jagaaaaaan, with a murder revenge plot, Jagaaaaaan is more focused on monsters and exterminating them.

Specialized teams of transformed people fight against their own kind to keep the peace in name of justice. <>Jagaaaaaan is Seinen and has deeper thoughts, also as it implies scenes unfit for younger readers.

Main character tries to find a purpose to live Both based on a world where "everyone" can have powers Main character is prefers to be alone but gets company They're both really good in my opinion

Anti-hero MC who is approached by a magic talking animal with a quest to save the world

Gaining superpowers for instance enormous muscle growth and super strength is possible in these manga. Supernatural threats are are not as easy task to face.

Jagaaaaaan has a character that is exactly like Hijikata who also eats a weird substance like mayo from Gintama, you can read this if you want to know an alternate universe where Hijikata wasn't in a parody story ;)

Both feature a character working for a government organization, one in the fire force, other in the police. Both feature superpowered individuals. Both contain moral dilemmas.

They are both by the same author with different artists and tackle a variety of issues in a interesting and unique way. That really stands out apart from most manga imo. Highly recommend giving both of these series a go :)

The abilities and mutations are very similar visually. Jagaaaaaan is more "humanized" in a certain way than Tougen Anki, but both are about a protagonist pursuing revenge and trying to know how to manage his abilities, learning how far the people can go with a portion of power.

Both works have a similar vibe. There is Continually action from the beginning. The chaotic events are shrouded in mystery. Both MCs live in a world attacked by another strange species that transforms humans into monsters. They both try to bring back a valuable person who died from these monsters. Both MCs gain powers from being transformed, but somehow they don't lose their humanity completely unlike the rest.

• Dark and violent; pleases seinen fans • Lots of sex scenes and nudity • Main character(s) driven by revenge and retaliation • Hot female leads • Great action sequences

The main character was transformed into a humanoid monster through an unidentified parasite/organism. He is an ordinary guy with a bad job but he helps the society in which he lives. Now he has to learn to use his powers to survive and protect himself from enemies.

The story revolves around the same kind of twisted universe, where you don’t know who is good or bad, where injustices are presents. Both series will not hesitate to kill a loved character or destroy one’s dream.

both have sense of comedy. both are edge and gore both are horror and psycho to some degree both are bizzare.
reportRecommended by Hussin
Both take place in present times. The main character was transformed into a humanoid monster and this transformation was based on his heart's desires. He works with an organization that tries to contain people who have also changed. Desires influences the people transformations, twisted desires create bizarre monsters.

Similarities - both MCs are peacekeepers (Jagan MC is a cop that stops power abuse, assassin MC is an assassin that prevents hero power abuse) - Both MCs are from/in a modern world - Both manga are somewhat OPMC (Jagan has a lot of plot armor) - Both manga touch a bit of romance or tease romance Differences - Assassin has a fantasy/adventure approach VS jagan is guns blazing uncensored adult content - Assassin is reincarnated VS Jagan MC is reborn with a power - Jagan MC takes meds so his powers don't consume him VS Assassin MC basically has infinite mana storage and limitless growth potential without setbacks
