I don't often write reviews unless I see a series that doesn't have any and I fell like there's a passionate need for me to say something.
I am a HUGE isekai reader. I've read a ton, and I ultimately plan to read every single one. This one I came across and I gave it a shot, and unfortunately, it fails at doing anything special almost immediately. The first chapter had some small amounts of new stuff, but anything after that is just hard to read.

I'll be quite quick :
This manga is "not that bad" from what I have read (up to chapter 17), but it feels like every other low-mid tier Isekai : full of incoherence, with a flat story. Conclusion first (so you don't read the potential spoilers): As every Isekai, this can be an interesting read for someone not used to "reborn in a new world" type of stories. If you have read other Isekai, like Word Magic or Solo Leveling, just pass by. From now on their can be some spoils in my review, even if I will try to not. First, this is the cliché of the OP ...

A very bad isekai. Weak story and there's just nothing interesting going on, and nothing in this manga really saves itself ...
1 - Story [4/10] - Nothing innovative in terms of isekai. He dies, goes to another world and finds out that he is super strong. There is no really good climax and the story is weak. Nothing too incredible. 2 - Art [4/10] - Very bad, the scenarios are almost nonexistent, there is no really good design for the characters. The traits are very amateur and the art in general is very amateur. I think I was very smooth on the note, but he is ...

I partially watched the Anime adaption but it was terribly beyond belief.
This specific manga was one of the very first adaptions for Isekai as a whole. The start setup wasn't bad, it was better than most, but the issue lies with the terrible story. You can see first hand there is basically no development what so ever? No direction, no clarity, no reasons or purpose, enforced with a disgusting lack of common sense. I would like to apply the example of" You should walk the talk, and none of the characters here do that? It is a bummer, the potential was there but never got to the point of decent. |
