Both manga display some similarities like, for instance: - A Powerful Organization (Pandora/Circus) & some weird monsters. - An alternative fantasy World, where PH is set in an alternative Victorian Era and Karneval in a Modern Steampunk World. - A blonde happy go lucky main character (Oz/Yogi) that apparently has no problems, but later on some secrets are revealed. IMO, I like PH better because of certain elements you do not find in Karneval: While PH & Karneval start with a happy feeling, PH soon becomes heart wrenching, leading to a profound character development and an intricate twisted plot, while Karneval manages to keep the happy feeling by  read more

The similarities are crazy. In DGM the Black Order and the Noah fight each other. The Order fights to protect while the Noah fights with ill thoughts in mind. In Karneval, 'Circus' fights the Kafuka (a dark hidden organization that does illegal genetic research) . 'Circus' being the good guys. The way the Noah makes their akuma is in a way similar to how the Kafuka make their Varuga.(Post-humans with special abilities.) The Millenium Earl takes advantage of his victims when the are weak and turn them into his pawns. The Kafuka gives their victims a pill that modifies poor humans into Varuga. To identify  read more

The main characters are young in both and they both have some mysterious power that they discover in the course of the manga. Also in both there are dark organizations that are after them and equally mysterious organizations who are their allies. The boys are also trying to find people, or information on people throughout the manga, and there is quite a bit of tragedy and action in both.

Both have: - Main boy is searching for the truth related to his past. - A lot of bishonen. - Great art, fantasy setting and good characters.

I started Karneval not long ago, but somehow it reminds me of Loveless. Even though the personalities of the main characters are not alike, both of them are looking for someone who dissapeared leaving almost no clues (both Seimei and Karoku seem to have similar personalities too). I also found the artstyle (specially in the covers) of Karneval really similar to the Loveless art.

Both animes display some similarities like, for instance, they involve Organizations and have as main protagonist a little boy who searches for his lost friend. Along the way he starts working for the organization and makes new friends while he tries to find out the truth about the disappearance of his friend.

Both mangas have stunning artwork and touching relationships between main male characters

nai and riku's personalities are remarkably alike and they both have one of their senses heightened to an above normal level

Both deal with a team of people having to fight against some kind of monsters and strengthening their bond through all of that.

Both stories have: - Amazing art with a very similar vibe to each other - Main charcters being part of the main mystery plot due to their missing memories - Main characters possessing unique skills - in both stories the MCs get involved with a government ridden secret organization full of myesteries - bishonen

Both manga have that fantasy genre that involves battling. I'd say the two main character Clay and Nai have similar personalities as well that makes you love them. And spoiler, if your loved the type of twist at the end of Clay Lord involving his golems then you'll also love the twists that happen throughout Karneval!

Art is gorgeous in both stories. The chemistry between characters is irreplaceable. Both have non-human characters. The characters' personalities in both are really nicely presented. I enjoyed reading both of them and I would love to see them in recommendations so people can find out about them!

They both have gorgeous designs. In both main characters are in groups. They are trying to change things they do not like. In Akatsuki no Yona there is a romantic love story too and in Karneval, there is more of a family-like love. The chemistry between characters in both stories is amazing. All in all I think you will enjoy both series.

What is similar in these series are the characters. Nezumi and Gareki are both tough and street-smart boys with a painful past . Nai and Shion are both kind and naive kids who know nothing about the world. the relationship between Nezumi and Shion is almost exactly the same as the relationship between Nai and Gareki, and vice versa. Karneval as a story is more action focused and has more characters. No.6 focuses more on the dystopian society, as well as being more shounen-ai (karneval is not, but it could easily be. keep wishing, fangirls!). Reading both stories however, one notices a striking similarity between  read more

Both are Josei and feature a young protagonist accompanied by older adults who protect the protagonist. Both stories feature the lead protagonist to be innocent, sweet, kind, and cute. Both have interesting plots and include similar character tropes. If you like Sennen Meikyuu no Nana Ouji, you'll love Karneval!!

Both have a sort of toyland world, with an organization that fights evil. Replica is a little darker.

In both the storyline happens in an alternative universe where the main character almost dies, only to be saved by a character that decides to help him for personal gain, not kindness. Both main characters are trying to meet and help someone dear to them, while avoiding bad guys that are after them. Both have a bit of fighting and a strong focus on the relationships of the characters. Also, both main characters were secluded from normal life (one in a forest, the other in a castle) and need help moving around. Both are definately recommended XD

- Both manga present alternate fantasy worlds where secretive organizations - both of which are branches of government security - handle special cases (Circus/Titans). - Both protagonists (Nai/Io) also deal with revelations of their mysterious past and their special abilities. - The theme for both stories circles around the importance of friends and (a sort of) family.

Both have a great art. Both are about a group of bishies and one girl who live together in a clan/organization and fight in pairs against demons/monsters. The main boy is very naive and before being a boy he previously had another form (girl/animal). Also his best friend is on the enemy side.

It's surprising how these two series share similar themes although Karneval is all ~*colour and sparkles*~ on the surface while Tokyo Ghoul is very dark since the very beginning. Here are the similarities I can find. Some details I have left out due to spoilers, especially for Karneval: -Human eating monsters with weird eyes, special powers and regeneration abilities: Varuga and Ghouls -Special cells in monster biology that increases power: Incuna and RC cells -Government organisation of humans that fight monsters: Circus and CCG -Organisation’s modified weapons that imitate monster powers: Circus Incuna bracelets and CCG's quinques -Evil organisation made up of monsters: Kafka and Aogiri Tree -Heartbreaking arcs that question  read more

Both JOKE:ЯR'S and Karneval share various similarities from power-like abilities (Crows/Varuga) to evil organisation (Kafka/Joker). Both series also feature a male protagonist whom befriend individuals with these special abilities, who fight the evil organisation for the sake of minimizing evil that would spread across the world.

Both of these are hidden gems in the world of manga. Both MC's have pasts shrouded in mystery, riddled with danger and heartache. The art to both is extrardinary, and the relationships between charactors both touching and provoking. These mangas with make you scream, cry, laugh, and want to read them all over again.

Well Hana to Akuma is more romance, and Karneval doesnt have none of it But Vivi and Gareki are way too similar even in the way they act. Also Vivi takes care and protects Hana and Gareki takes care and protects Nai. And Hana with Nai have also very similar to eachother. Karneval is more gore and have fights and Hana to Akuma focus on the romance

Karneval and Crimson Shell have a story surrounding an organization that's trying to rid the world of something. This organization allows in new comers, which are some of the main characters to each story. Character wise, there are some similarities: Gareki (Karneval) and Xeno (CS) and Tsukumo (Karneval) and Claudia (CS) are the only ones I can really make - and the second one is only minor details. The feels for each story are pretty close as well.

If you're into supernatural fantasy is part of your vocabulary, then Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) and Karneval are definitely something to look into. For its colorful cast of characters also come a fascinating setting with vast potentials. There are supernatural elements present in both series inspired by the premise and gimmicks. The main male protagonist from both series contrasts a bit differently however but their relationships with others are cleverly crafted. Similarly, their stories offers many glimpses at plot twists with attractive mystery elements to keep you at your seat.
