As anyone reading this post probably knows at the end of episode 7 monsters started appearing and a villain named King Torture seems to be leading them. I honestly don't know what is going on right now it could be several things. I would like this to just be a dream or something but the further it goes the more it appears not to be one. If it isn't a dream my only other theory is that King Torture is a psycho who is obsessed with super heroes like the main character and because of his obsession he figured out how to make monsters and has been simply waiting for a super hero to appear. please feel free to write your own theories as the show continues |

| Definitely not a dream. I knew that the second the Gorilla broke a guy's neck. Scene was waaaaaaaaaay too graphic to be "lol, just a dream!" I'm leaning toward crazy psycho who is Hazama's opposite, created monsters with some evil corporation (as opposed to Samurai's stationary weaponry). A guy who wants to be a super-villain. |

| What if the whole story is a giant, hero-themed, evil version of the Truman Show? What if Masayoshi has been groomed and manipulated since childhood to become the hero of the show? Including the death of his parents (revealed murder!) mysterious back story from his Grandfather, convenient appearances of people that can help advance the plot or power up the hero, constant escalation of the villains with no pause in between... It's all entertainment. I feel like Akira knows exactly what's going on, but unlike the Truman Show, it's clear that not everyone is in the loop. |
