| THIS IS A MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER. ---------------------------------------- Chapter 57 - Rescue I had this all written and then a network error tossed it on post, sigh... Trying again... When I first read the TOC for volume ten and saw the title for this chapter I thought it might be all over. Not yet... They are not rescued in this chapter. Instead, Ryota is still trying to rescue everyone from the island and even themselves. He isn't satisfied with four people winning the game by killing the other 28 people. He wants them all to hijack a helicopter. So he fights but not to kill. He uses BIMs and a stick to knock his opponents out and take their BIMs. Of the team of four he gets all but Togo, even Kira without killing him. At the end of the chapter he comes up on Hidemi on the beach and Oda on the cliff. The last bit shows a teaser for volume eleven coming in May. I just might have to start buying Bunch magazine as I am not sure if I can wait until then. It shows Oda helping Ryota up the cliff. Pure speculation on my part: I am worried that Ryota left Himiko for even a little while. I hope Togo doesn't find her before they meet up again! I am sure I have forgotten stuff on the second try, may add more later... |

| Ryota should have shown his mad skills earlier in the manga/anime so that people cannot call him dumb lol Funny how Oda and Hidemi continued to stare at each other while bombs from Ryota's fight exploded around them xD. Oda might care for forehead girl more than he thinks. Kira's submission was hilarious. The kid should have lost conscious from that point black attack to the head :)). The bombs Ryota took away are not his so they are just extra baggage. He should throw them away. btw, where is Himiko?? I see the bromance coming from the last page. It's time for the girls to get jealous :)) |

| What a lively discussion we have here. I just realized how I haven't been keeping up with manga and decided to catch up on Btooom! And it was the right choice xD This chapter is juts as good at keeping me in suspense as the others. If only we got more of the romance. |

| Why the fuck does Ryouta want to team up with so many of these blatant sadists and murderers? He constantly spares them or tries to offer an alliance to get off the island, ignoring that they're actively trying to kill him with zero hesitation about it. I get at least being nice enough to offer some sort of teamwork with some of the innocent characters who haven't hunted down others, but besides Himiko and Taira (at least initially), those seemingly don't exist. |
