Enjoyable ep. I was surprised that Goro actually lost. Seems like he's off to America based on the previews.

Goro looked really cool under that awesome sunlight, kinda like a hero.
Toshi, you're just a loser, you just ruined the farewell he got.

I really enjoyed it, and indeed it was surprising that they've lost. I found that a really good solution after they created such a huge cliché mess in this series.~ Though I still love this~

For me, this was my absolute favorite episode of Major! The pitch after
were truly amazing. Goro's will to fight to the end was admirable to me. I can't count how many times I have re-watched this single episode. 10/5

That was great. I had my doubts about them actually winning Koushien but never thought it'd end like that. I just can't believe he'd go so far. Even if they did win the match, it would've been impossible to go to Koushien in that condition. Wow.
What ever happened to Toshiya being an ass? Did he have a change of heart when he found out Goro's been playing with an injured foot? lol

Lastly, that guy who jogged the last run home has got the nerve to laugh and be all happy whilst a pitcher just basically lost conscious.

Damn that was good. I always thought he needs to lose but after this...I don't know what to think.

However almost 200 pitches?! Good god almighty.

Major finally redeemed itself after the last shitty repetitive episodes. This match ended on an epic note. It's probably the best episode of all the series so far.

I'm glad he finally lost an official game, in fact that's the first official game he lost IIRC (his team lost in season 1 but he wasn't playing due to his injuries so they don't count). It made the episode feel more realistic.

I didn't think that I would seriously cry for this ep. *sniffing while typing this post*

I thought they would win against Kaido, that was very unexpected. And this ep, DID make the previous episodes realistic now! I cannot drop Majors now seeing that ending. It was really unbelievable that they could win against Kaido. If they won, I decided to drop this anime. But I think, either way, I will always go back to this because I don't like not finishing what I've started including the fact that this series was good.

And Toshi running to Goro like that, I remember that day when Goro visited Toshi when they're still young and told him he can't play baseball because his father died. Toshi did the same thing again and cheered Goro to go back again and stand on that mound.

This was the best episode in the S3!

Thank god they lost, 190+ pitches is just to much for 1 person.
And to be fair Kaido deserves it, with the skill they've got.

Don't forget they also deserve it for nabbing every good player in the area despite incompetent coaches and using dirty tactics like injuring the other side's main pitcher. They deserved something alright, but sad to say Koshien was not it.

Anyways, enough hate for now, hope that Goro didn't blow out his foot and will be able to pitch again. If this was a permanent injury I'll be pissed.

Wow, surprising turn of events!

Through this season I often thought if Gorou could fight against all three pitchers of Kaidou, then seriously, he also deserved the victory of the game. He pitches versus the Kaidou, enduring even the extra innings... I admit he is amazing. Anyway, things are getting realistic again, I'm glad.

The feel when you win with a balk... One can't just accept that.

More seriously, Goro showed that even if soemtime he's so annoying, he can be so freaking awesome like in that episode.

Mayumura kept being ice cold until the very end. If I understand what he meant by that, at the end, Goro can possibly get out of this without repercussions. Remember that even with the painkiller, he was supposed to throw only about 30 pitches? He was at his 184 throw...

Gibson get back into the show as it seem. I guess he'll invite him to play in the USA.

Anyway, that was the best episode so far. A defeat without any regrets. And a bittersweet win for Kaido.

It almost like there's more to Toshi's character than what it looks like, but leave it most of MAL to take everything at face value and think Toshi is a douchebag lol. As if the previous seasons didn't establish his rivalry with Goro pretty well.

Pretty satisfying end to the match. I was thinking either Mayumura would hit a homerun or the match would end with a duel with Toshi, but I'm glad it ended like this since I really didn't expect him to collapse after all.

Honestly I want they win, really.
Solid epic episode 5/5. Goro is really the man of this match. If there is a MVP award for tournament, He really should be given that award.
But kinda sad. It's a really sad farewell for Goro and he can't play in Kousien ever in his high school time. He is the player that deserved to play there ;__;

Thanks for a great match, Shigeno Goro

Wow. Leave it up to Gorou to lose in the most ridiculously awesome way possible.

That was the best possible outcome to this narrative, I think.

I'm satisfied.

As frustrating as it may be, this is the only logical outcome and even if Seishu had won that match, now way Gorou could have continued to play the semi and the final after that performance, mad respect to him.

5/5 best episode of major and best season of the first 3 seasons. I was going to give it 7/10 if they would won because it wold be total bs and ass pull, but after the ending of the episode definitely
9-9.5 / 10, i really enjoyed this season, no question one of best sports anime seasons.

The fuck else can be said.. just epic.. EPIC. I had a tiny bit of tears welling up in my eyes at the end when Toshi reached a different pitch in his voice we've not heard before and he yelled for Goro to come back stronger when his foot heals up. Just awesome.

Mayumura is a monster. You could tell he had something a little more different with his pitches, batting, and demeanor then Goro had.

10 out of 10 episode.

Cant hold back my tears. That episode was so fucking good and emotional.

To see Goros eyes.. at first full of power, motivation and fury. In the next second it looks like his eyes are showing Goros death.

That moment when Goros father motivated Goro again. And that duel against Mayumura was epic aswell. Mayumura by himself sees Goro as his rival.

It kinda hurts to see Goro losing after all... but somehow it doesnt feel like a loss. They pushed Kaido to their limits. And I kinda think its better for Goro... to concentrate on his health.

To think about how Goro would have played without his injured leg. Oh my god...

Had to watch the end of the episodes two times.

Finally we were able to see Goros limit.

Major did it again. Epic!
My only regret is having regrets!

I simply cannot understand the praise this is getting. I only find it incredibly stupid that the umpires would let a teenager play with an obvious injury. The absurdity is something I can't overlook no matter how "awesome" a duel may be between pitcher and batter. No amount of roaring and testosterone and "playing for your dreams" or whatever nonsense makes up for this eye rolling ridiculousness of it all.

Forgive me, but this is certainly not the best episode of the series so far, nor this season is the best one. But I think I agree that this is the best match so far.

exactly as i thought it's the same as the S1 they said it, only that then goro was bearable.
i'm glad they didn't made seishuu wins, it made the conclusion for this match better, as goro though to outsmart them couldn't make the win, it's really rising up this season.

Seeing Goro fall made my heart drop, this was truly an epic battle between Mayumura and Goro that ended on quite a sad note with that balk. Still glad Kaido won as otherwise it wouldn't make much sense considering the difference in overall team strength and experience.

Nonetheless despite the loss its impressive how far Seishu has come (mostly through luck). Still realistically the umpire would've barred Goro from playing and Ichiro even with the best intentions should've called quits

mayumura saying "its shame... we could've been rivals in the pros" after his strikeout, really put into prospective, the last time gorou pushed himself like this he messed up his right arm and quit baseball only for him to now switch to left hand pitching.
