A hint that Kuze is the boy from Major's childhood? Great episode, but why were the JGSDA doing there as well?

I DIDN'T. Apparently NetFlix has the last several episodes out of order. The last episode is on the site as episode 25, and the site's so-called 26 is one of the earlier episodes (maybe this one?). How INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING, especially given the clues in that episode. Imagine watching to the end of the series without knowing
!

I called them and they said they would fix it, though.

The way Kuze obtained the money was actually used in a real life crime. I'm sure you can find articles about it on some site.

While Kuze was describing the way he got the money I was thinking of Office Space. Hilarious movie. But anyway, good episode. Can't wait to see what happens between Kuze and Batou.

What an episode, intense action scenes and nice development. Ending was something of a cliffhanger, I'm surprised the Major has yet to arrive.

Wow, this show has now build my confidence to bump it back to a 9, because honestly, the episodes before really sucked lol.

Damn it, this show knows how to create a cliffhanger.

yeah when Major was making an origami from Batou's lunchbox i knew Major saw something that has something to do with the boy from the backstory of hers.

it's also pretty amazing how Hideo Kuze could be compared to historical figures like Malcolm X, Che Guevara, and even Hitler!!!!

lol who was the hacker that died with the sex dolls??

how the hell could someone like him had Major had contact???

love the music in this series, especially during the battle with the mechs.

it's the same music that was used when Motoko hacked the CIS headquarters.

so the boy that doubted Kuze actually survive the last incident and went with him.

i like how kuze manage to get that large of money through tiny fractions of money from people didn't even know.

it just shows you how flaw an Ai system can be :P

love Batou standing out there taking on Kuze!!!!!!!!

cannot wait for the last 6 episodes :P

Yeah, a bit obvious when the Major folded a crane with the bento paper.

This episode was good.

What a great way to take money. It's not enough for anyone to get mad. It's less than 1 yen, but when accumulated, it goes to great numbers~

Man, I don't want to see Batou get pwned, but I think hes about to be that guy the villain beats up to show that hes no pushover.

Really smart way of getting the money together, accumulating money less than it's lowest known form and adding it up forming thousands. Looking forward to Batou vs Kuze next. He sure looked angry.

GOD DAMN that CIS dog. Again, he wanted to screw around with Section 9's plans to stop them from capturing Kuze. Wasn't his intention to favour the Indiv 11 and to eliminate the refugees? Now that Kuze is helping out with the refugees...isn't that against his rationale?

That deal didn't go well xD

Where does those two Arm Suits came from? I don't understand, they were with the russian or what? But then why leave the case behind...

It look like next episode, it will be Batou vs Kuze and Saito vs that weird russian cyborg.

Sometimes it bothers me, the arrogant way in which Batou is proposed.
Episode that raises the level of pathos, we are close to the end, the only odd man prepares the stage for Kuze?
I'm curious to see if it will be so easy to catch and prosecute Kuze, or S9 will understand the intricacies of Gouda?
Drawings, animations and good OST or nearly so.
The vintage will save the world! XD

P.S. There are during the narration, even in this episode, many obscure points and facts that are curious to learn more.

Some aspects, like hacker in the room with sex dolls and Batou looking for revenge for killed rookie, reminds me 07 chapter ("Phantom Fund") of GITS manga (where they were smugling soviet gold instead of russian plutonium).

Great episode.

The hacker with the dolls and the "contact" that appears in the early of this episode, they're from the manga. They both appears in the chapter 07 of the manga.

Another hint that it's the origami boy.

And wow, the way Kuze obtained the money was pretty clever. He's been a great character so far, to such a degree, that I can't help but root for him a bit. Go and get Batou! XD

Awesome episode. From the humanity of the major to seeing the Tachikomas fighting the military spec robots. And Torukia is one of the best tracks for action I know.

I had forgotten how Kuze had gotten the money. Did they get the inspiration from Office Space? LOL.

That is a bit of a lame workaround to explore death in a cyberworld. "We can copy his memories but his ghost won't be there" oh come on writers, if you don't explain or explore more what the ghost is, it will just look like that the Ghost is just another word for Soul, not reviving someone because they lost their "soul" sounds like a very archaic way of thinking to separate yourself between the meat and the chrome. I bet that's why you haven't made an episode where Tachikomas receive human bodies.

This kind of topic could be expanded deeply too, with the arrival of AIs like ChatGPT we can see that being alive is on an spectrum rather than just being a black and white thing, but oh well, I guess that for being a 20 year old series, it is fine, just fine.

Kuze's got a lot of hype around him, and quite the hero complex. The way things are going for him just feels so fishy, like it's all a part of Gouda's script.

Well, I can't wait to see how Batou stacks up against Kuze.
