----------------------------------------
When ghost was not ghost, he used to take care of her. The guy is with the ghost at the shop when she woke up. She's afraid of seeing him, but she hugged him in front to the ghost, who got angry and went berserk (blocking him as always). He got her out and talked to him. The ghost actually thought about going R.I.P? To fulfill it, he wants to possess his body.

After work, he eats with owner's sister in law. She shows that she cares about her whether to have another guy or not. She also showed photos of 2 of them, and he's in love with her with more hair and smile. He, then, has doubt about if he can regain her smile like that photo.

He invited her for going out in front of the ghost, and she cried.

So beautiful.. I cried so hard when Shimao-kun just watched Hazuki and Rokka. I feel so bad for him, that I can't feel peace in the decision of Rokka moving on. I respect both Hazuki and Shimao-kun's predicaments, it's just so sad.. D;

Shimao just got Shinji Ikari Award for being most pathetic main character
like come on, this emo one can understand but he adds behaviour of spoiled brat (this is nothing new BTW)

Hazuki on the other side goes into Master of Subtlety area... yes take her to last place she went with dead husband XD good job!

fortunatelly this more or less works with being mature on Rokka side... so not so bad in the end

I loved this episode, but Shimao moving stuff around irked me big time. This is tugging my heart in all kinds of directions, like watching a light-version of Maison Ikkoku. The duality of each character is very difficult to watch, in a very bittersweet way.

There's no such thing as forgetting or removing. We make new room and let in new memories and loves. What makes this process so hard is our egos clinging to the idea that we all belong to only one person at a time, and that they belong to only us. The dead hold one big advantage, they are deeply remembered, not for their flaws, but how good they made us feel.

Oh the aches of our hearts, how they torment and nurture us.

Shinji Ikari has all the reasons to be "pathetic". So does Shimao. But maybe you are too macho to understand basic psychology.

I totally agree, It's understandable in which you feel sympathy for both in a way you can't really blame them for their actions =/, although It could be considered that shimao is "selfishly holding on" now that he has the power to somewhat physically interfere. It will be harder for Hazuki as Rokka and Shimao still can't move on =/

It will be interesting to see what happens if Hazuki lets Shimao take over his body. Luving this anime, really can't wait for the next episode Dx I wonder what Rokka's decision is~

PS. This is actually good part of the series, as it's realistical and people do that... still I don't like this type of characters :3

I can't really blame any of them. But I think Hazuki should really settle Shimao's problems first before moving on. Even though he's a ghost, he's present and he's the only one who can help him. It was really painful to watch Hazuki totally ignoring Shimao and start to get intimate with Rokka... It also for his sake, it isn't really fun to have a ghost watching you doing this and that...

And I fell more and more in love with the ending song each episode.

Another great episode!

The ending was excellent. The characters are terrific, and I love the realistic interactions between everyone. Even though I feel somewhat sympathetic for Shimao, he really does need to move on.

I can't wait for the next episode!

I'm just starting to realize how well Okazaki Tomoya's voice fits in with depressing monologues.
Superb episode; I wonder at some point of the anime Okazaki Tomoya will be hospitalized or something because of an accident... too cliche?

Shimao is in the worst position IMO.He literally can't do ANYTHING.He must watch his wife hugging in bed with other guy.Ofc he goes berserk...Hazuki could really lend him body and try to send him to a better place, so he get Rokka for himself.Though Shimao is a troll, and who knows what he would do with his body.
And Rokka doesn't know about anything...thats freakin depressing ;_;

Loved this episode. It really is hard to side completely with one guy, as they are both in tough situations. I can only imagine how awkward it must be to get intimate with someone while their ghostly ex watches on in frustration. Only to later on beg you to faint so they can use your body.

I feel like Hazuki has some real balls in these situations, not holding back with coming on to Rokka while her Husband watches.

Pretty much this.

Honestly, I don't know which one I ship though. I really, really felt for Hazuki when he saw that picture of Rokka and wondered if he could make her smile like that, too. My heartstrings, man.

Looking forward to next weeks episode. This was a gorgeous breather from all the terrible highschool ecchi action I ended up picking up today.

This anime never fails to make me hit something in frustration and anticipation xP It's just so sad. I agree that Shimao needs to lay off already but Rokka also needs to learn to accept his death, and Hazuki, although I think his courage is great, needs to be a bit more careful of the things he does for her.

hey, Rokka has done nothing wrong. Its just really hard to not feel sorry for Shimao and not blame Rokka for asking for her husband to stay. I haven't seen a story like this in a while. Hope we get something closer to a happy ending rather than a tragedy.

This anime is so beautiful it makes me all teary for reasons more than one. :')

I dunno how it will end, but perhaps we can hope for Atsushii gets to rest and piece. Best Summer anime this year by a long shot! Of course I am loving Kokoro Connect and Sword Art Online to the same extent, but I think this is the only anime that won't disappoint me at the end of the season!

and then ask her to go to a place thats special to her and her dead husband?

i didnt like the ghost supernatural powers. this anime was just getting good and it might turn out to be one of those ghost cliches like the movie "ghost" where he can move things and possess bodies.

I feel bad for Shimao, but he really is been selfish. If its not Hazuki, then it will be someone else. I'm sure Shimao was a great guy when he was alive, but if he really did love her, then he would let her be happy.

Also, Rokka needs to move on and let herself be happy again. Its obviously never easy to move on, but what Hazuki tried to do there at the end was a pretty good idea. Maybe a little insensitive, but it showed that Rokka is still holding on to Shimao. She has to go and make new memories with someone else. She can't go her life avoiding a place, because it was the last place they went too. Its normal to move on, and she really should.

And honeslty, I want her to be with Hazuki, I'm rooting for him all the way.
I am a sucker for romance!!!!

I totally understand Shimao, it must be awful to watch the person you love preparing to have an intimate moment with another person. and worst of it, the one who can see you is your rival, not your wife! They were going to have sex if Shimao didnt interfere. He is not a ghost, now he is officially a poltergeist, he exaggerated and overreacted by throwing things to Hazuki and making an earthquake... Anyway Hazuki is very cold blooded to be able to kiss her and hug her in front of Shimao. I wouldnt be able to keep the love in the air in that situation, it just feels weird. Also even if Hazuki doesnt care about having someone watching the scene, I still think Hazuki should have respected Shimao a bit more and try to do that with Rokka outside the house where Shimao cannot reach them.

I feel a deep sadness for Shimao, and I love him so much, I hope Hazuki borrows his body to him so he can say goodbye and move on. ;_; I hope Hazuki can conquer Rokka´s heart ;___;

And DAT ENDING. I just love the ED.

i dont know about those supernatural powers though.. seems kinda.. if rokka somehow realizes that shimao is still roaming the earth like that... hazuki will stand no chance.

This show is full of "almost" for me, at this point. If Shimao was just a more serious guy, with a better personality that actually suited Rokka (I honestly do not understand how she was in love with that blithering idiot), I think I'd be a lot of emotionally involved. Hazuki is still a little too tactless for my liking, and the ED could be excellent if it didn't go into English.

Shimao has been regularly hospitalized due to illness since he was in elementary school. He meets a girl he falls in love with during vocational school, and end up dying young, leaving a devastated wife behind. You saw what happened on his death bed. They are both the kind to not easily move on.

Now, here he is, a ghost with no means to interact with his beloved wife who clearly has lingering thoughts of her late husband. He is also bound to this house, having to endure what goes on in it. For a person who needs to move on, the best option is oft to just sever all bonds, but he seemingly can't do this on his own. To be reminded each and every moment..

Yes, a person who throws things is labelled childish, but can you really put him down for using everything in his power to hold on to someone who's holding on to him as well? She's right there and he is expected to act rationally when every bone in his body screams of the opposite.

I can understand such a character is annoying to watch, but everyone's not so pragmatic they can just move on like that, for some it can take many years, with death not really shortening that time.

The mysteries of E7 Ao pale in comparison with my mysteries of Natsuyuki Rendezvous. Maybe I am stretching it a little too much, but the point is that I can't quite a grip about this series.

Since when has Hazuki grown up so much? Just in the first episode, he was the bumbling idiot who has no clue how to approach someone he is attracted to. Now it's no longer attraction, he genuinely seeks for her happiness. How did that happen? Becoming a man, he confesses to her that he is okay with being second and invites her to the park where Atsushi and she last spent quality time together. Too deep in too little time.

On to Atsushi, he seems to have integrity when it concerns two things: His flowers and Rokka. I can understand his interest in flowers. The hospital was his second home and flowers are symbolic to his want of freedom. What I don't understand is why he cares so deeply for Rokka. It doesn't seem as though he's attracted to her and all we have seen so far is Rokka chasing after him, not the other way around. I understand he is married to her, but to me, it seems Atsushi treats Rokka more like an object to be taken care of than a human. Don't tell me that Atsushi sees Rokka as one of his special flowers...??!

On the other hand, Rokka's pain is understandable. The qualities she liked in Atsushi also exist in Hazuki, and she's having an existential crisis. "Did I ever love Atsushi for who he was, because I can't seem to differentiate two different people?" That question is more or less bothering her every single waking (and sleeping) second of her life. What I can't understand about her is why she cries so much. Maybe I'm just too hardheaded to understand the extent of her pain.

I seriously respect Hazuki despite his young age. I don't get why everyone is hating on him when he's clearly doing the right thing by NOT letting Shimao use his body.
1) there's no way he trusts Shimao to "stay for a little while"
2) If Shimao does possess Hazuki and speak to Rokka as Hazuki, she will never see Hazuki for who he is or rather may always feel Shimao is constantly watching her (which he is) She'll NEVER be able to move on, at least not in her current state. This would definitely shatter whatever relationship he's built with her.

In any case, yes, I think Hazuki could afford to be a little more considerate. He is a bold character who decided to make out in her and his room so I can sympathize with Shimao's anger with that. But with the amusement park, honestly he isn't really supposed to know that the park would bring sad memories for her. And I felt as though it was a test to see how she really feels about him and about Shimao. Clearly she has feelings that she unable to let go or put behind her. In a way this is a good heads up for Hazuki to really control the pacing of his pursuit. Or being 22 he tried to be a bit rash about it still, just a very bold and upfront move to get some answers.

Bottom Line: Hazuki is awesome. Shimao, stop being a seflish drama queen.

I agree. Sure,Shimao is ina tough spot, but you know...he is dead. I personally would wish for my family to be happy with their life schould I not be there eventually. And causing his wife so much trouble just because you want to prevail something that doesn't exist anymore is very..selfish and egocentric.
Not that Hazuki isn't selfish, but he actually tries to help her.
