Finally OnoD's character appears as a student learning to fight. A tanned girl is not happy with him, with other opponents. Interesting practice fight.

Seems like there's a girl who became mentally crazy from previous war?

Well, it looks like the mini arc is finally over and the main protagonist Yuuya Bridges shows up. The other members are also introduced from various countries and seems to get more interesting now.

Pretty exciting match and drama in the air as this episode steps things up a bit. Tarisa's such a tomboy and chobi LOL.

Also, the ending...oh my, anger boiling in those military veins of yours. Welcome to Argos Flight!

I feel like I'm missing something here. I can't put my finger on it, however.

In the new intro, it looks like Yui is contemplating using that gun on herself.

4/5 for this ep. EDIT: I get it now. Went back and rewatched. Thank you, Nachtwandler_21, for guiding me to the answers I was seeking with your vastly superior intellect.

Anyway, I guess I wasn't paying much attention as I watched it. I somehow missed the paint on the crashed mech, and I also missed the plane dodging. Must have been a little distracted.

Well, now that I realize how everything went, I really want to see more of Cryska and Inia. If they were good enough to beat Chobi, then they're probably the best fighters we've seen so far.

Either way, the action was great as always, and I like the new characters. Ready for more.

Brains. Just use them.

Really like this episode. The only thing that bothered me was the song during the mock battle. It was good but unfitting

Only complaint I have so far is that I'm not a fan of the music. Don't like the OP, or the bgm during the fights. ED is fine though.

Oh, and sparks flying between Yui and Yuuya... will be interesting to see where his hate for Japan comes from.

Not really, it's just they pulled off two Ga-rei style intro episodes. Other than that, this series is okay so far.

This ep was pretty much a letdown for me compared to #2, but not surprised since I didn't start this series last week for mecha fights and cliche cast/behaviors/dialogs. I'm expecting the cast to ruin the good moments that can come from the BETAs and such due to their attitudes and spoiled pride/patriotism/etc, makes me cringe. Will just hope this gets dealt with right away and not end up lasting throughout the entire series, otherwise I'll either drop or end up skimming through more than half of it just like this episode.

The two white-haired girls are cute though, +1 for psycho women as long as the studio pulls it off well and doesn't end up making it seem too exaggerated/forced (which was kind of the case during their intro fight). Something on the level of BL vampire twins instead of higurashi pretty much (former being well done, latter being palmface-worthy very fast)

Good episode...

Nice group of new characters, way better than the previous better...at least they have interesting likable personalities...hope they don't die as fast.

So can someone tell me which of these characters was the pilot of Takamikazuchi in the prev ep?

Well, for me it's just a side story, since I have played the VN. Basically I'm watching it because I really liked the main story.

Neither. It was Koubuin Yuuhi. You saw her in the first episode (purple hair).

I really didn't like this episode. The character's weren't that great, particularly Chobi. I found Chobi to be very annoying. The others struck me as pretty bland, save Yuuya. I guess Yui was decent, but we didn't get to see much of her.

This episode paled in comparison to the last one. I want to see more BETA, gore, etc. and less "I am better than you!!!!!" BS.

It's mostly a treat for people who have read the VN more than anything else imo. Seeing things like the BETA and TSFs get animated and various references and such (even using some matching sfx to the VN) is a nice touch. But the story, characters, attention to detail and action are nowhere near as good as the VN.

So far Yuuja looks like a passable protagonist though I have no doubt that the pilot's petty attitudes will come back and bite them in the ass during the real battles if they keep this up.

Letdown, but I expected a not so good episode after episode 2. I didn't like episode 1, loved episode 2, didn't like episode 3. Found myself watching the time to see when it would be over. This is probably my least favourite series overall out of the 10 I'm watching atm sadly, but it has potential.

White haired girls are interesting, MC isn't too bad. Chobi or whatever is annoying as hell though.

Guys this is another intro episode for the new characters. The first two was set up the world that they live in now. I'd wait until 6 or so before passing any judgement imo.

In way I view the first episodes as a sort of a prologue and this is the 'actual' first ep.

Well yeah, I guess that's the way you should view it since ep3 was the first that actually covers LN content.

They kinda follow the tradition with scary plushies though, that bear was almost as scary as Kasumi's bunny, lol.

I absolutely loved this episode! Nothing much to say here except for: Top Gun, Macaroni, Chobi and Venus XD They all got some funny nicknames, except for Venus..that was rather random. I thought that Yui would also participate in the training fight. What she said to Yuuya at the end of the episode quite surprised me. At first she was like praising him but then suddenly she said she was disappointed in his results.
He called her Japanese doll. Seriously, never thought I'd hear that in an anime.

Decent episode. I'm interested in how quickly they are going to progress through this phase into the section of the story where shit gets real (at least I hope it gets to that). Like in MLA where it seemed alright and then nom nom scene. After that it never settled down.

Although I must say that I need to stop comparing this to MLA as I cant honestly expect it to be that good.

I like the new characters. The two white haired chicks are cute.

I also see they finally improved the mecha animation. They're finally running it at a more fluid FPS compared to the first ep where the mechs' movements felt slow and dull.

Also <3 <3 <3 those tight suits! They're so sexeh ;D

So much truth in this post lol. I had to mute the volume when Yui was screaming in episode 2 because it annoying XD Anyway Yui really looks good with long hair, hope there will be some romance between her and the male protagonist. But what did the male lead do during the training that made Yui mad??

Once again, character development is done in an indirect way. Yes I agree that we do get a few flashbacks of Bridges and interactions between the four pilots, but we, the audience, learn most about these four pilots during the battle scenes.

Manandal, the Nepalese tsundere, likes to take things up close and personal and fears what she can't understand. The Italian playboy is well, a playboy. He toys around with both Stella and Manandal. Stella is the opposite of Manandal in every way imaginable. Finally, Bridge is our Houdini, the masterful escape artist.

Bridge intentionally provokes Manandal in order to show off his amazing maneuverability skills. However, it is only by chance that he is saved at the end by Stella. No wonder Yui is pissed at Bridge. How can a theatrical escape artist ever lead the Empire?

I doubt it's because he was a "theatrical escape artist", it's more than he was reckless, and against beta this mean death.

She was pissed because she feel that he is too carefree, and treat this like a game.

About the "japanese doll", I think he believe she is not a soldier, but just a bureaucrat (he probably don't know who she is). If you rewatch the briefing, it can feel she is not inclued in the pilots.

PS : I didn't read the VN or manga so it's just my opinion ;)

Another great episode. This one introduces my 2 best girls in the following,

In such a glorious pose they are none other than Inia and Cryska. 2 marvelous great girls.

As for the other 2 girls. That would be Stella Bremer from Sweden and Tarisa Manandal from Nepal. Both are great additions.

About Tarisa Manandal from Nepal, one of the things I like of her is her fan service in the spoiler
shows how much of a ass, panties and breasts she has. A real treat would the following,

Whom has quite an amazing pose of her. I have to admit that she looks like a girl from Nepal. I met some and one of them has a striking resemblance to one I knew. In any case I like her.

About Stella Bremer from Sweden, quite attractive in the spoiler
mainly breasts. Her hair color and eyes match nicely too.

Conclusion, having no time to fully express myself I end this with a possible edit and that the CG along with the new characters, the suit fan service and the shocking ending was great. I like that guy’s name VG, Bridges and Tarisa’s nickname.

PS: Personal notes sharing in the spoiler
terminology I recorded for myself that I share.

This show just got worse right off the bat. It's like a US helicopter firing rockets with no ordnance at a British helicopter (thus they're only rocket propelled pieces of steel), enough to make that British helicopter crash but not necessarily explode. But it's okay since they just crashed the helicopter but not killed the pilot. The insurgents in Afghanistan are just a minor annoyance.

I'm disappointed. Two TSFs training ignoring orders from HQ and almost crashed with a plane, and they didn't even punish TSFs' pilots.
Why they let mentally unstable people to fly TSFs? (the girl with long silver hair)

Anyway that mock team death-match is good.

Yeah, that's a paranormal power of seeing Auras. Moreover I think they might be special cases, I don't see other reasons as them not getting scolded while others can be. Special cases are all around in general in many series and they get full unfairness like those 2 girls. Now I want to find what's up with them.

They also pilote a unique type Mecha and theirs is 2 seater which is not common at all. This could be the start of something new Mecha + Psychic Powers.
