lol, Titus becomes useless just after one episode.. I wonder what's going to be the next AGE Gundam?

Anyway, there was quite a bit of progress with the plot regarding who's been behind UE and I suppose it was an improvement from the previous episode.

P.S: Um, regarding Flit's exposure to outer-space... If you google about it, there's a scientific consensus that you could survive in outer space for 15 seconds without loosing consciousness. Also, there's a reason why Flit used the Gundam's shade, because he didn't want to be exposed to extreme temperature change and unfiltered radiation from the sunlight.

Next modification of AGE-1 is Spallow, it shows up in the OP after Titus.

I thought that was a pretty good episode. Episode ten looks amazing.

The little bit where Decil is shown watching the fight with the Zedas, Titus, and Woolfe in the Shadoll and then says how boring it is even with a new mobile suit and looks off camera to tell someone/thing that it's enough, then seeing the Zedas retreat, was kind of a highlight for me. Just because it sheds some more light on what the UE are and that they're probably not these whacked out sentient aliens everyone thought they were before the show came out. Looks like they're being remotely controlled that Yark Dole and his group of probably villain anti-federation hooded figures.

And yeah, once Flit was like, "I CAN'T COMBAT THE SPEEED!", it was like a calling card that we'd be seeing the Sparrow/Spallow in the next episode... well that and the preview for the next episode had it as the last shot.

They really expect the old Zalam and Euba suits to actually be of some use against the UE?

Flit is one of the most tech-reliant Gundam protagonists thus far. He has very little actual piloting skill, and his strategy is basically "get ass-whooped while waiting for AGE system to create magic counter tech." Also, the Emily shipping this episode made me cringe.

They can be used as cannon fodder.

the Eu are going to be in serious trouble when an experienced pilot fights them in a gundam (or gundam knockoff)

didn't expect to see the 2 new forms (titus and spallow) this early in the serie. I thought that titus would show up in the next generation and the spallow the third generation. So I'm wondering what kind of upgrades they will make in the later generations. So far it's becoming more interesting and I hope it will keep going in a good direction.

I think Flit is the first character in Gundam to ever do something like that in space without a helmet or suit. 14 year old with balls of steel. xD

The battle will be interesting next week. I'm loving this series even more and I hope it keeps getting better or at least stay to the point where it can be enjoyed without getting boring and being dropped.

Can't wait to see what the AGE system creates next it has to be something with improved speed since Titus is too slow to fight the UE now.

Very interesting developments but the first part of the episode was really light in terms of script. It really felt like one of those forced "enemy of the week" situation.

In every age, in every place, the deeds of men remain the same.

Quess Paraya from Char's Counter Attack (CCA) did that trick first as i remember. Flit doing that probably a nod to CCA.

Hmm I only watched CCA once right after I got the DVD in the mail so I probably could have forgotten that scene. xD

That was pretty crazy when Flit went unprotected into space.

Decil is pretty epic though I didnt expect him in that role.

Not a bad episode. It seems Flit will use two or three different Gundam variations while fighting depending on the opponent. Isn't that gonna be a problem though when he has to face multiple opponents of different kind?

Good episode but I don't really like how the whole crew (except Adams, at least one guy is sane on this ship) agreed on the spot to participate in basically a suicide mission because they felt pity for Grodek.

I was NOT staring at the purple haired lady chest! Wonder what's gonna happen to them.

So looks like Flit's arc is about to end. Will they pull a Zeta and have everyone die? I hope we see more of Flit's Newtype-like powers.

Yep I heard he gets 14 episodes so I guess that means 5 more before the next generation.

Really liked how this episode pushed things forward. Though no matter how much support they try to muster, they're still going at this way too fast and with too little actual firepower. And I don't see evern the combo of AGE Gundam and G-Exes (hate that name, love the suit) being too effective either. At most it seems they can handle six of those untis combined and the UE seems to have a pretty decent armada.

None of this means sh*t to Grodek though. He doesn't even care anymore if the crew knows he's a revenge-driven mutineer. I hate to say this, but the black guy with the funny hair has a point. All this is highly illegal and probably punishable by death, too. But this is Gundam, and in a world ruled by Gundam logic none of that matters. What matters is that you do what's right and stand up for yourself when no one else has the morals, heart or guts to come along for the ride. So everyone listens to a little story initiated by Emily and go on along with the plan without much of any debate.

Oh well, logic aside at least things are moving at a decent clip. This looks like it is going to be a rather exciting first cour.

I was wondering why they even made Titus, a relatively crappy looking model that's only used for one episode, and my thoughts (taking into consideration everything I've seen of Gundam Age so far) culminate in the following projection:

In the final stages of the show a miniaturized Age System will be integrated into the Gundam and in the final battle it will dynamically morph through all shapes, weapons, features and addons it had up until then based on what's needed.

Then I thought to myself: "This is so ridiculous, that - in this show and this show only - it could come true."

Well Gundam is one big toy commercial so its really not surprising. Since this is targeting a younger audience than normal they might see more sales than with the other series since kiddies will beg their parents or save up their allowance to buy the models with. Then we also have fanatics who like to collect Gundam models will probably buy like mad too.

Why no one talks about the fact that UE Mobile Suits are mindless machines without pilots? that's mean Flit's kill count is 0 and that's FUCKING LAME!
