This episode really will bring you to question the identity of that other Proxy. Is it just sheer coincidence that it makes an appearance again?

Anyway, I like how the Halos dome soldiers appear like German WW2 soldiers in cold weather gear. The helmets are the iconic German helmet design and also the overcoats. Just change the color white to a shade of field grey and you have German troops in a cyberpunk setting! =)

An interesting episode for sure. It was pretty touching when Vincent and Pino are burying their companions on the way to the dome.

Pino never fails to deliver. She's awesome.

I'm getting pretty into this :D

Another solid episode. So, at first I thought Vince turned into a proxy, but it seems that there are people who... control (?) proxies? Well, the answers will be revealed.

The action in this episode was pretty great too. Having those razor-sharp tape fingers cut through you seems like a nasty way to die.

So, I am thinking that 'Proxy' refers to a thing that takes the place of, a substitute of sorts... and so the proxies may be like a manifestation of a person, that fights in place of the one that is in control of it... So Vincent is not actually the Proxy, but the Proxy is a part of Vincent.. Sort of like the Kudan in Tsubasa... I think the crazy woman in the cell was in control, or the 'owner' of the proxy with the evil eyebrows.. or wings, or whatever those things were...

Or, I may just be totally wrong..

Either way, this anime is sucking me in further and further each episode...

Wow. I wonder who that guy is. And this other Proxy... Well, having something so thin just cut through you seems painful.
But, yeah, wonder about this whole Vince-being-a-Proxy thing... Well, answers in the next episodes! Or not. At least I hope so. x3

I really enjoyed this episode. Vincent's feeling of despair at the start turning into joy when he was found then back into despair again when he started to suspect he was a Proxy was a great aspect of this one. Also, I just love the design of the original Proxy and they kind of remind me of what Alucard in Hellsing looks like when he first wakes up from his sleep.

Yeah, I was also thinking along those ways. I hope we get an answer in the end xP

Vincent reminds me SO much of Vincent Valentine. I mean, except that Valentine was actually badass without activating his 'other' side (assuming that the Proxy is actually some side of Vincent and not just us being wrong; and not counting some of the cornier bits of DoC. "Guess I have no choice. It's time...to save the world." XDD).

Who really is vincent? He got all speachless and was like out of his mind while the two proxies dueled it out. He sort of looked like he was trying to control whatever is inside him..

Yeah, I felt really sad watching those parts :<. I wonder who Vincent really is - this episode showed a completely different side to him (not that much has ever really been disclosed about him).

Yea, I agree.
It seems he's coming to realize about the Proxy inside of him and what he's done, I guess.

Looks like my guess way back on episode 3 was right, I have no more lingering doubt that Vincent is a proxy himself and the second one Re-l encountered on episode 1.

Vincent pretty badass defeating that other PROXY.

What I think is, that these PROXIES are humans whose body are used by those God-like creatures. Hense the name PROXY.

Ahh, I'm a bit lost in what Vincent is.. whether he is a proxy or being followed by one.. or a part of him.
Also curious on who the other humans were, guess I'll find out more on episode nine.
The battle scene was pretty epic.

Solid episode. Mix of drama, action, thrill, and mystery.

Proxies killing each other is quite interesting but it seems Vincent (if he is other the Proxy from ep1) is the dominant one among others.

The guy at the end surely triggered some questions. I wonder what's his role would be.

We don't get to see Re-l in this episode :/ I kinda wanted to know what happened to her. Vincent seems like he's suffering, trying to understand what he is trying to suppress it as well. Also, the part where he says he's like a shinigami, bringing death to everyone everywhere he goes was just heartbreaking. He doesn't want to see people dying anymore and it must really hurt to think that you're the reason people are dying ;_; Btw, he's changed (appearance wise) quite a lot since the first episode.

Nooooo, don't kill the pretty proxy... ;_; The loony prison lady can die though.

So much intrigue... Interesting how the autorievs went to the trouble of freeing everyone in the prison. I wonder what their side of the story is? The way the soldiers referred to Pino as 'having a heart' because she was infected makes me think that the enemy autoreivs can't be infected?

Could it be a case of "cogito, ergo Proxy?" The series certainly points to that.

I wonder when Re-l will return.

This is great, i can't get enough of this, too bad i have to go to work tomorrow and im tired :(

I'm starting to think that for each person exists a proxy and the proxies all perhaps live on the outside, which is why the domes were created, to separate them. But what do i know, this is probably the most interesting thing i've seen so far in my life xD

Where the heck did those guys get the canned food? I feel like it is random as heck to have food out here provided you aren't connected to one of those domes . . . Unless they were using that "artificial womb" to produce "food" . . . Creepy.

I'm really liking the Alice in Wonderland reference, and the whole added metaphoric device of the duality of reality. Coz like dat shiet. The mixing of the 'kami' Proxies, and, like, their different worlds? Or what....

Also if that random human base wanted to fight the autorievs effectively they should just give Pino a gun, hahah. She seems to survive anything

Great episode.

That monster fight was pretty cool. Wonder who was that blue girl who just got killed by Ergo Proxy. Now I wondering if Vincent is Ergo Proxy. May of been right from the beginning that it was him. That yellow hair guy, who is he. And dat end woah.

Lol @6:29 Rino's face looks ugly haha!

That ost @23:26 is great. Wonder what's that called.

I don't get this.. why are the humans and aturoreivs fighting..
What's with the sudden appearance of another proxy.. and its so weak.
Maybe Vincent is too badass.. a wild blond dude just came out and smirk.
The more I watch the more question marks are above my head.
Somehow I want that proxy to be Vincent and not Vincent is the proxy lol.

Ah, there's my Alice in Wonderland reference. This anime was feeling naked for a while. Not only that, but once we had the deck of cards referenced, we obviously got the Joker card to show up at the critical moment. It's not a criticism of the show, mind you, but it's something I've seen done a lot, and I'm not always sure if it's always meaningful. I get the new character is supposed to be the "wild card" as noted by him coincidentally drawing the Joker from the ground. Had that been any other card, it probably wouldn't have made much sense to include the scene of him picking up a card, but it's still a bit heavy handed to highlight that the new character is, in fact, mysterious.

Also, uh, I'm beginning to think this anime has a bit of a bait-and-switch going on, where Vincent is the actual protagonist of the anime.

So that reference to "moonlight haunting the darkness..."
Darkness meaning humanity's sins, and moonlight meaning the "truth" ? The moonlight is never-changing - it is a constant, like truth. Just because you lie doesn't mean the truth goes away. It can always resurface, like a light.
In other words, humanity's sins will be brought to light and destruction will soon follow.

Maybe I'm slow on the uptake, but I still don't understand why the autoreivs were trying to break out the prisoners and why those prisoners were held captive in the first place. Hopefully the blond guy can enlighten us.

This Proxy of Moonlight was a lot less monstrous looking than our proxy. But damn, they just killed everyone. I assume our proxy's presence woke them up.
