 A new Digimon anime titled Digimon Beatbreak was announced at the Digimon Con 2025 livestream event on Thursday, scheduled for an October 2025 debut. Toei Animation simultaneously opened an official website, revealing a teaser promo and teaser visual (pictured).Digimon Beatbreak marks the tenth installment in the franchise, and the first new Digimon anime in two years since Digimon Ghost Game finished airing in 2023. The tagline on the teaser visual reads, "Emotion-devouring digital lifeforms." The Digimon franchise began in 1997 as a virtual pet game and gained widespread popularity with the 1999 anime Digimon Adventure (Digimon: Digital Monsters). Over the years, the franchise has produced a total of nine television anime and 11 movies. The latest movie, Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning, opened in Japan in October 2023. | Looking forward to it Since they're doing anniversary stuff, I'd like to see a series that features all the elements shown so far > digivolution (plain) > alternate evolutions > armor > spirit > biomerge > mode changes (including burst mode) > jogress / dna and digixros and throw appmon in there too |

| @3miL Yeah, when Gundam had its anniversary a couple of years ago and they just released the ultimate show for a "modern audience", only limiting it to superficial references to older shows to create the illusion of a connection to past generations of the franchise. In some ways, it was even more influenced by a show that not only wasn't related to the Gundam genre or theme, but was even aimed at a different demographic altogether. |
