Yes I think back in 2020 from what I remember, eh it's already been 4 years time goes fast as always.

That's kinda the same for me back then when I just wanted to watch as much as possible, I even still have parts of that in my plan to watch list since most of them are under a tag made for shows with more than 100k MAL members on their entry since I wanted to watch all of them at some point but it's obviously too much and I don't care about that anymore.

But yeah you're right, people don't really care when it's about enhancing a show unless it's very popular, but in most cases they like it when there's drama and negativity, well that's also how a lot of YouTube do their buzz anyway.

I just wonder if there's truly clean celebrities though, even when you don't suspect them at all you end up hearing that they did this and that, it feels like if you want to become famous you need to enter this world.

Oh well that'll explain it. Even a lot of series that keeps the same core crew gets worse after S5 anyway, so also adding a change of the guard makes things even less likely to keep up the quality.

I know of Gravity Falls, but I wasn't aware it only had 2 seasons. Might be worth a watch then. It's mainly British TV that comes to mind for "ended early when it was still good". American TV has a culture of stretching popular things way past their expiry date, The Simpsons of course being the most iconic example.

YGO definately got less popular over time, but I guess the original base was high enough that even lower numbers justified never ending new anime and gimmicks.

I may have mentioned this before, but Bleach I stopped after the first main arc which I heard was the best. So I've only watched 63 eps of the anime. Didn't bother with the fillers, and I kind of know what happens later anyway from osmosis. Also fun fact with Bleach. I once bought a really cheap Bleach DVD which had eps 21 - 41 from a pawn shop. But when it came time to finally watch the first 63 eps, I just watched all of them online anyway. Didn't feel like changing medium to watch the middle part on DVD lol. A lesser example of this is how I own Nichijou on DVD but have probably watched more hours of Nichijou YT clips than my own DVD.

Well I liked Wii Sports back in the day. But even if the people in the ads were making big flashy motions to imply it was like the real thing, that's not how you win. I got autistically good at the game and it was all about quick wrist flicks that didn't resemble the real mode at all. Like for Wii Sports Tennis a quick flick would give way more power than a wide realistic swing, since the sensor bar picks up more speed that way. I assume VR is more realistic than 2006 technology though lol.

I don't understand these YouTubers and elitists to be honest, especially for anime, isn't the main goal to enjoy what you're watching and move on if it doesn't fit your tastes? I mean some of these guys spend more time getting angry at some of these shows than watching the ones they actually like. But yeah, that's also why I don't try to argue with people on MAL, it's often just useless as most of them won't change their opinion anyway.

It seems to be VERY common among actors celebrities etc, not only from their parents but also the older ones from the field... look at P Diddy, they're discovering more and more things about all of that, seems like Justin Bieber was probably abused when he was a teenager.

Good ol' School Days...an anime that I'll never gonna watch.

Omegamon eh...I knew it was him, but with only 78% certainty as the art style made him look like another random Digimon. I'm not too familiar with his variants tbh. Only saw one or two of them in anime and games. Haven't play much of the games though. Only finished the two Cyber Sleuth games.

If you've heard of Usagi Drop, it's in a similar situation. Anime finished with an ok ending, but the manga I've heard has a rather controversial ending once the story goes further from where the anime left off.

I would not be surprised if there is another dystopian pandemic. The whole world is going down in spiral right now. Ireland right now is proven to be one of the depressing places to live imo. Services are literally getting worse as years go by.

Would be really cool, most of the games made only for VR are kinda poor yet, but there are VR versions for some big games, I didn't test them but I know The Forest has it for example or Subnautica
