How is this considered anime even though it’s got practically no one actually working on it? It’s made by less Japanese then Scott pilgrim takes off and that’s not on the site, so why is this here?

The production team emphasizes the concept of "Supportive AI," a method designed to assist creators rather than replace them.

I think that means most work is still done by humans, and all of them are Japanese.
Hello can you please watch Kitaku-bu Katsudou Kiroku

They also stated in that same article that “More than 95% of the cuts in the anime will use AI, and a person will make the final edits by hand.”

Beyond the technicalities there is also the ethics to consider. And they are very not good.

I'm really surprised this is the only isekai coming out this next season. (Other then a sequel of another anime). Normally we have like 4 isekai per season.

In this case "a person" does not mean ONE person will do ALL of it. It seems like that's what you're objecting to?
People (plural) will create it & sign off on the final edits after possible modifications by humans.

Seems legit to me.
Ai is just a program, like MS Paint or AutoCAD.
An actual all-Ai created show is centuries away, I think.

Well, a good 50 years anyhow. 😸 It would take astonishing leaps in many fields of science to get to that level.
Of course if all you want is to mimic? That could be 10, 20 years or so, maybe. Then Ai could fake a story, art & so forth. Like 1 million monkeys with typewriters, they could spam it out until something accidentally looked good.

But actual artificial intelligence? Not just a sophisticated chatbot? That's some far-off sci-fi stuff.
We'll have walking humanoid robots before then, and that too will take a huge leap in many fields. Catgirl robots, of course.

Made fully by Japanese and fully for the Japanese audience in mind, while Scott Pilgrim is a western company production and an adaptation of a western comic lmao.

Super Crooks is in the exact same situation as Scott pilgrim, and yet it’s on this site.

@MrRant That's just the animation, though. 100% of the animation could be done in Vietnam and it's still anime then. The animation being mostly AI doesn't discredit it from being an anime. I'm sure we'll see more of this in the future, especially with how lenient MAL is on what counts as a "professional", if someone who worked on the OP animation of the second season of some forgotten isekai decides to make a short film with the help of AI that will count as an anime. "Practically no one" just means small teams can actually make things themselves instead of always having to work under the supervision and direction of a big company.

just stop forcing your beliefs bro, nobody cares, the invention of photography didn't replace painters and illustrators, they still exist, they definitely didn't bitch and whine this much, stop crying ffs

@mshfqtny No, i will never watch anything made with use of AI.
And if that means to stop watching new anime in the future, so be it.

@HaGriDoS nobody's forcing you to watch. I'm just saying AI is here to stay. You might not watch it but your kids will. Even I wouldn't want to watch AI made anime now because the quality wouldn't be on par. But who knows what happens after a few years.

Funny how people like you are the ones who're actually advertising for AI. I completely forgot this existed and now I might watch.

It MAL keeps adding AI generated anime, they should at least add a disclaimer/tag somewhere so they can be distinguished from the others.

@Erebus25 People in the 2000s: if they keep adding digital generated Anime, they should at least add a disclaimer/tag somewhere so they can be distinguished from cel Anime.
