He's been in the mecha/kaiju fandom since the mid-2000s, back when everyone still used forums. He got banned from almost every mecha/kaiju forum that existed back then for arguing with people needlessly, refusing to understand opposing viewpoints, trying to push his extremely contrarian (and sometimes flat out incorrect) opinions as fact/consensus, and generally insisting that he and his opinions be the centre of every conversation and every forum. He went to /m/ sometime around 2012 and stuck around there because the anonymity makes it easier to evade bans -- he has been permabanned from /m/ several times but uses the board to this day, doing his usual nonsense, but with the bonus of spamming certain pictures just to make them the most reposted images on the archive and using the anonymity to force a contrarian consensus on shows (e.g. saying IBO and Active Raid are bottom-of-the-barrel but Great Dangaioh is a genre classic).

Lol at your Duel list. The funny thing is that I do actually like lots of the shows on that chart, including some of the widely disliked ones like GodMars, SEED Destiny, and Aquarion Logos. I even watched Unit Pandora and G Dangaioh because of that chart -- Unit Pandora was pretty disappointing (for a user that claims to like "action", that show was very light on it), and G Dangaioh was good until halfway through. I will say, Duel does have unique taste, and it's frankly refreshing compared to the mountains of cinephile Letterboxd bro ironic weebs obsessing over "horror" and "aesthetics", but it's a shame he's such a pervert, liar, and spammer speedwatching a backlog to be king of a dead board on a dying imageboard.

Hi there, thank you for leaving a comment ^-^ I was aware of his reputation before gundam, hoping to watch zambot 3 soon. I wasn't aware that he was well known enough to get the nickname already, I've only ever heard it in relation to zeta! I will amend the list, thank you for reading :)

Machine Robo Rescue and Wings of Rean did not have 2D mecha. Strange Steel Fairy Rouran, War on Geminar, Sakura Wars 2000, Transformers Armada, Transformers RID 2001, and Sakura Wars OVA 2 did, however.
