While it's great that we get to see Heisuke earlier, I don't like the fact that it's at the cusp of skipping yet another chapter... Yeah, it doesn't affect the plot, but the things that made early SakaDays have those feels were those SOL moments between the cast.

But yeah, whatever, Heisuke's another dude out for Sakamoto, unsurprisingly. Except this time, bro goes to Sakamoto's store... and DIDN'T know he was Sakmoto.... lol. But yeah, after the action packed arc that was the last couple episodes, we get a little breather with something more chill... an airsoft battle... WITH the boy Heisuke. And Lu being as drunk as she always is... FUCKS everything up.

Heisuke don't give no fucks no more though, bro pulls out the REAL gun. Not just any gun either, A FUCKING SNIPER and hits Sakamoto right in the corner of his hand. But that was just a fluke on Sakamoto's part, because the next time he shots Sakamoto FUCKING DODGES WITH HIS CHUBBY ASS CHIN xDDDD

Heisuke's backstory is sad and all, yeah. It makes sense why he'd want to kill Sakamoto... but this IS Sakamoto we're talking about. And all it took was a pebble... yes, A FUCKING PEBBLE to destroy bro's WHOLE SNIPER LOL. Still though, Sakamoto "invites" up bro to the team. So don't worry, we'll be seeing more of him soon enough.

P.S. nice little lore drop of Sakamoto and Aoi's first meeeting in the post credit scene lols.

I was wondering when this spikey haired fella would be introduced, sad to hear there was some more skipped stuff to get him in the show this soon but I did enjoy this episode quite a bit, kinda wild that characters in this show can become friends in the span of a day even after being shot at lol, I guess that’s how it is for these goofy hitmen. And I enjoyed Heisuke as a character, he’s pretty endearing with his backstory and unstable emotions, bro wears his heart on his sleeve for sure, but when it came to gunning down Sakamoto he became a different beast, his sniping was next level seeing as close as he got to getting a fatal shot, I was a poet and I didn’t know it lol.

And not only is he a skilled sniper, he also has custom bullets that can ricochet up to three times, not to mention his rifle could fire three shots at once which was kinda wild since it looked like an Arisaka bolt action rifle to me lol, I could be getting my old rifles mixed up tho. But in the end Sakamoto proved he can snipe with a damn pebble if he wants to and ended Heisuke’s rifle, very cool looking scene, but unfortunately that paintball money ended up going to repairing the damage Heisuke caused, I’m surprised it used up pretty much all the prize money to do that but it is what it is, no fancy windows and ramen for Sakamoto lol. Also very sweet moment at the end of the episode with Sakamoto and Aoi’s first meeting, I’d like a whole episode about these two and no hitmen action tbh.

Damn this new character is kinda pathetic. Or so I thought at first. Dude is a deadly sniper. At first, I thought he'd just be another joke assassin. So that was a cool surprise. I still kinda feel bad about him. Even after going through all that, he still only got 50 yen lol. He deserves no more as he destroyed the town.

Sucks that Sakamoto won all that but couldn't use it himself. I guess he really is a good person to use all the money to repair the town instead.

The post-credits scene was good. But how did Sakamoto find out that Shin was reading Aoi's mind? Ig he's a mind reader too now.

@Red I too love Heisuke!
I hope he comes back, he would be a great addition to the team!
(With him being in the poster, that will probably be the case, and I would be happy as a result.)

Btw, he has a burst sniper rifle!? (Correction: he had a burst sniper rifle.)
I feel like that is very rare in both tv and games!

Watching Gon fall on hard times after growing up and seemingly abandoning Nen for sniping and a bird for a best friend sure sure was tragic. Sakamoto sincerely praising him was genuinely really sweet tho.

Also, the extended version of Sakamoto and Aoi's first encounter in the post-ED was absolutely precious.

somehow I don't find this ep all that funny, I don't know how many times Sakamoto kill Shin in his mind

and I don't feel sorry for the new character at all... but I guess he might team up with them eventually? that's my guess anyway

nice to know how Sakamoto and Aoi met, but it was pretty normal, nothing too crazy nor special about it

Another really fun episode with some more scenes that had me laughing out loud. So glad I’m able to enjoy this show without crying about animation lol.

Heisuke was fucking hilarious man. Lu dumbass over here blowing Sakamoto cover and telling Heisuke he just gained weight 😂 cmon Lu read the room!

All worked out in the end because the group got a nice training mission thanks to Heisuke sniping skills. Speaking of which, him only learning sniping and being able to do that is really giving Megumin. Lost it when his dumbass showed up to the office talking about “sniping’s all I do” 😭 Sakamoto praising his abilities was actually really cool. I’m digging how for the most part, everyone that comes to kill Sakamoto ends up falling in love with he or his family.

Pretty chill and fun episode!

Another awesome episode. I love Heisuke and Piisuke and their team was super adorable. I felt him throughout the episode. Having no money and only one skill that many people disregard so easily must be tough for him. And, he spends more on feeding his bird than himself. That's how you know he's a sweetheart.

I really hope he gets a good job and good enough money to support himself and his bird and a shelter over his head alongside good food for himself and his bird. The episode itself was pretty chill. The competition was fun. Heisuke really is like a dog who doesn't want to betray the one who fed him when he was hungry. Sweet guy. Hope to see more of him going forward.

I didn't expect Heisuke's personality to be like this. I thought he would be more serious, but he's actually quite the opposite, and I found him quite likable. His story is also interesting. It's surprising that the assassin's association considered him useless just because he was good as a sniper. All the assassins who faced Sakamoto were useless in comparison, while Heisuke earned Sakamoto's admiration. Hopefully, he will also end up working at the store, as he desperately needs a place to eat.

So Hana's band-aid giving habit comes from Aoi's influence. It was cute to see how Sakamoto and Aoi met.

Heisuke is the epitome of the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover." He may be dumb and seem incompetent, but when it comes to sniping specifically, he's as good as it gets. His special bullets ain't no joke either. I'm looking forward to him being more involved in the show later on. And damn, poor Sakamoto not being able to use the prize money to fix up the shop 😭

this was the worst episode so far. i've tried to be open minded for most of this show and enjoyed it enough that way, even though they aren't doing all the epic panels justice (because suzuki's art is just too damn good), but what really rubbed me the wrong way is the fact that they skipped the department store wars chapter. i've even defended this adaptation skipping chapters 2 and 3 because they don't add much of anything new but at least the department store chapter had the flashback with how they named hana, and wholesome family moments like that should not be skipped.

although this episode did well on the scene where sakamoto destroys the rifle, that was cool. and heisuke's little flashback was good. this is the first episode that's really left a bad taste in my mouth because of skipping that chapter.

@Pre_Yum It's weird how they mock him when a sniper specialist at his caliber is introduced later...if not far beyond Heisuke's level in a way, though we literally haven't ever seen their face, which is part of the joke

@ryzxgum Yup, there's no need for this. It seems like any chapter involving wholesome moments with his wife and daughter is being cut (like the backpack chapter, maybe they'll add some of these moments in the next episodes, I doubt it, but who knows...), they really want to skip to the fights and they're failing at it. I understand that the animation industry isn't fair, that animators overwork themselves and that schedules are absurdly tight, but damn, Sakamoto Days deserved better. It's an average/fine adaptation for an awesome manga.

Cool episode that introduces us to a new character! Seems like a nice guy to add to the group. Also, i'm sure they will be able to use his sniping abilities down the line.

If Heisuke never became an assassin I bet he would have made a ton of money going to the olympics as a Japan's Greatest Sniper!

We also got Lu as a cute cheerleader so I see this episode as a great success!

I can't believe Lu is becoming more annoying each episode. smh (is she always drunk? a minor at that!?)

Anyway, it looks like this new character could possibly become a new member of Sakamoto's family, because he is flat broke... (and paying 20k yen per month for his parrot...? lol)
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

I don't understand... what Lu's purpose was to get drunk before watching the paintball event. Is it just so there's a reason for Heisuke to know Sakamoto's identity... I mean like, if it's just random, imagine if she accidentally revealed Sakamoto's identity to the very wrong person 😩 okay but whatever, because everything ended well.

Sakamoto and Aoi's past!! Sakamoto is so cute xD who would have thought that the greatest assassin turned out to be an awkward person. Aoi is so sweet, if she didn't walk up to Sakamoto and give him that band-aid, then this story would never have happened.

Average Joe birds only act as sniper spotters. Piisuke works as a pro sniper spotter and casually lifts a sniper rifle, ammo and rifle bag 15 - 20 times their weight. The true star of the episode..

This episode was ok, at least the new character Heisuke seems like a loveable idiot which is miles higher than a stuck up esper and Lu who's only relevant when she's drunk. Somehow I feel like they are skipping stuff without having read the manga. I don't know, other than the action shots not much is living up to the hype for me.

For me, Heisuke is another type of character that follows the " Never judge a book by its cover" mantra. At first glance, he does appear to be rather hopeless at many things and does cry a lot.

However, when he gets serious with his snipe rifle, then you'll realise how strong he actually is. He did put up a good fight, but Sakamoto and his little rock throw obliterated Heisuke's rifle too easily. Also, Lu might've been drunk yet again, but her sleeveless hoodie/skirt combo for a casual cheerleader look suits her so damn nicely! =D

The post-credit scene was an extended version of the first time Sakamoto and Aoi met and it felt even more wholesome and amusing, especially with how easily he got all flustered. XD
