| This episode almost feels like a reboot of the OVA or at least as a reintroduction of the cast again. Good thing they still retain the comedy elements as I do find the humor amusing at times. Training aside, it's a neat setup by reintroducing the cast. Love the overall cast chemistry though. There was also a brief photo of the cast from the first The Fruit of Grisaia series. Bring on more! |

| The return of the Black Sheep of Frontwing's Fruit of Grisaia series: Phantom Trigger, after both the movies/OVAs, the anime adaptation is finally here. The 2-minute recap of the movies/OVAs in the beginning, covering Volumes 1 to 3 of the VN, it's quite the necessity for this anime going further in its adaptation. Bear in mind that this "The Animation" adaptation IS a sequel to the movies/OVAs, so watching them is a MUST. Continuing into the adaptation of Volume 4 of the VN, Haruto and the girls in Mihama Academy (now called SORD) are just a delight to finally see them on screen in the few years since Stargazer, the anime focuding on Taiga Sengoku, the eldest daughter of the Sengoku family as well as Principal Sengoku's cousin, training her to become a valiant comrade is a do-or-die issue. Haruto wanting Chris to take control of Taiga, she may have her hideous past, but now it's helping someone get along and get forward with her training. The unrelenting history of the Sengoku family definitely left Taiga scarred alongside her mother deemed good-for-nothing by the uncooperative family, though getting her used to the SORD facility and using every bit of system that it has to develop her into a fighter, Taiga is only getting started, with Chris as her caretaker, despite being a medical engineer that has her hands on almost everything. Hope this can be a decent showing for the continuous run. |

| The initial episode introduces a new environment and characters with various skills and different group dynamics. However, the episode could have delved more into character development and plot building, considering that the series is known for its complex narratives and deep characters. 7/10 |

| not talking about the episode now but i really think chris looks like satoko from higurashi no naku koro ni also, i mean, satoko is good at traps and explosives and she kills if necessary. and Chris also takes care of the explosives, so...It has a little to do with it 😅 although chris is actually more like expy of Sachi from original Grisaia too.  what do you guys think? |

| @Cubefield Its the sequel to Stargazer movie. To give quick background for Phantom Trigger - it consists of 9 volumes (including vol 5.5) of VNs, this entry adapted volumes 1 and 2, then Stargazer adapted volume 3. TV show gonna adapt (most likely) the rest of volumes (as trailer had some scenes from vol 7, and I doubt they gonna leave volume 8 without adaptation, unless they want to make it into movie which would be amazing too), starting from vol 4 which is Chris story. |

| Oh God. Bibury did so much better in terms of general art quality than shitty 8bit did with original Grisaia adaptation with ugly ass 3D backgrounds, atrocious looking vehicles and blur applied everywhere. |

| Alright so I’m coming into this having only played the first grisaia and having not seen the previous two movies for this or whatever because apparently this is a continuation lol. Def some character relationships and lore I’m a little confused on but the two minute recap at the start was decent. It’s interesting seeing the different sort of story this is compared to OG grisaia and how much bigger the school is now. This seems like a more action oriented cute girls with guns story than Fruit of Grisaia was. We’ll see where it goes. |
