The season finale but still had the usual vibe as other episodes. At least there's a wedding so that's better than despair.

There's Dali being a caretaker and good role model for the kids. Seems they did go for a very safe season finale. Felt underwhelming imo.

The timeskip with the Vlad Agency's children all grown up and forming their own lives...it certainly was a far-fetched future of Pendulum's sweet dream that Dali hoped would come to fruition, given all of their troubles thus far, brought back to reality with Ul's bawlings.

The Vlad Agency may have the remnants of Pendulum under control, but once again, a planned escape proves futile for the secret service to ever get their hands on Kiki, Catarina and Abraham, this is definitely the work of a spy from within. But nothing can be done now than to honour those who sacrificed their lives for the greater good, especially Dali's wife Frida since it's been the year to her death anniversary...and at least for the 3 Pendulum members involved, their fight with TRUMP isn't over yet with new conspirators from within the organization resetting the motive to go after the illusive immortal Teacher Krauss once again to demand their eternal cocoon phase.

Yep, this felt like the kind of ending to tie up all loose ends for the sake of plot, with TRUMP's case closed and the fathers getting back to their child-rearing practices. And as they say, as one infant crawl and begins to stand on his/her two feet, for the development of their own children down the road, their "cocoon phase" to begin with.

It's too safe of an ending, and unfortunately, the 2nd half of the show really dragged the show down.

It's interesting concept and has somewhat beautiful music but it's still in a cocoon stage.

So a "Cacoon phase" is a deep sleep on the surface, but a metaphor for puberty? if that is the case what hell are they implying about the fathers waking up from the cacoon phase and having someone by their side?

Also the show fumbled the bag, had so much potential but spread it self thin. Maybe if the tone was more light hearted and went the route of the father's being under house arrest or stuck home. They take interest in raising the kids. At least with that premise the show could of lead to more screen time to the characters/showcase their respective parenting styles and philosophies. Though I guess almost going extinct from getting God killed one day and having a picnic the next day works too for an ending.

This was, in the truest sense of the Word, an anti-climatic ending. Felt more like an Epilog than anything else.

Fin? Open ended? Seems like the author want to continue the story but forced to stop here.

I thought the first part was good ending, turned out it was just Dali's dream. He has the power to see the future? Raphael's wife looks like Dali's wife lol.

@LeonLanford i mean, there are a lot of stuff already existent that happen after this, as well as others before this
if you don't want to watch stageplays, there's the TRUMP manga which is like i'd say 13 years later
i can't remember how after this is but the stageplay COCOON will be adapted to a manga as TRUMP was...
there are more stageplays, some even seted up like 2k years later...

The timeskip seemed like foreshadowing of what they would be as adults. I know it's a dream but I wish it was really a time skip.

Pendullum's appearance just now suggests that there might be a second season but I'm not excited. He only created questions.

At first, it seems they wanted to kill TRUMP. Now they want him to experience euphoria. Which is it?

TRUMP being depressed seems to make for a stable Vamp society. He might be unstable if sad and angry. Is there anything that will change if TRUMP were joyful?

I dunno.

Nice finale for the first season.
The music was great as always.
Anybody knows if there's a sequel at works?

@Yasminaa Well, there's a manga series "TRUMP" set around 13-14 years later with the kids (Ul, Raphael and Angelico) as adolescents in Clan... But it's really really dark and sad so if you're not ready for this, better stay on the show's happy ending.

Reading TRUMP while watching Delico's nursery was really... Something.

I read "TRUMP" manga alongside anime, and it has made my experience much better.
In the last episode, seeing the connection between the manga and anime satisfied me, while the 'what-if' versions of the characters made me emotional.
I'll start exploring the musicals from now on.

Thank you SO MUCH for bringing my attention to the differences between the manga & the anime. I read the spoiler and i think such manga would be too melodramatic for my taste. I mean, I remember that I was really in a bad mood after Banana Fish, so I wouldn't want to repeat the experience.
Thanks again for the heads up.

@Hirozuki I also want to watch the musicals because the lore seems so deep and interesting... I'm especially interested in the shows after TRUMP in the chronology, but I'm not sure where to find them.

@Yasminaa You're welcome! But yeah, the manga is already tragic on its own, so it's even worse after watching Delico's Nursery. And the change in characterization for some characters is quite brutal

I totally get where you're coming from. I really hate it when they change things from the manga. I think this show was a shock for you and the other manga readers since obviously it differs way too much from the manga.

@Yasminaa besides what you were told bout the trump manga, there are lotta stage plays (TRUMP being the first one of the series in 2009, having been remade in 2012, 2013 and 2015), there's COCOON being like a couple years before TRUMP which will also be made a manga, when idk tho) and all, i recommend to check this place

Thank you so much for the reference!
I'll definitely be checking it out 💯. It's very useful to know the chronology of things & the other productions about the same title.

This was a flop for me. After the anticlimactic 12th episode, this one didn’t really do much to tie up the story. Idk, I feel very unfulfilled with this anime

WHAT THAT WAS ALL A DREAM??

Oh well, even though it was all a dream it was cool to see all the kids grown up and happy since I’ve heard the manga is not as happy as the anime so I’ll for now stick with this ending lol

@Cam907 That link was interesting. Thanks. Didn't know this story had so much lore.

Wtf though?

If you're familiar with the source, could you give spoilers about the kids and parents, even if their fates are tragic? Like, what happens to Dali, or twins etc.

I'd want to know what happens to Kiki and Katarina too. If such info is available.

@Sigmar-Unberogen okay bout Ul's parents:

(Source: Grand Guignol)

The Lorca's and Classico's never appeared before, so i can't say much, same as Katarina

bout the other kids (Raphael, Angelico, Ul):

(Source: TRUMP, hey you have the manga for this)

bout Kiki:

(source: Grand Guignol)

about Dali and Gerhard, i don't remember much bout them being in the plays so i can't talk now, i'm rewatching them, so if i have something i'll come back
