| Everything's back to normal again. Really like the visual representation of how when that girl that Makoto left last episode and he apologized and she actually respected that and asked to talk some more later her eyes are actually drawn, unlike in previous scenes with her. Reminded me of Silent Voice icl. That aside though, I swear if Aoi's parents have some type of vendetta against whales or some shit... because why did she look at it like that. Anyways, have a typical study session episode. Whole episode is basically just focused on Ryuuji and him trying to figure not only himself out, but also if this feeling he has for Makoto is love or not. We learn a lot about Ryuuji actually, like he wears glasses/contacts and that he used to be overweight. Makes sense why he would want to hide it, I don't blame him. We get a little bit into Saki near the end, and Saki, you're still young, so don't rush to find someone special, and don't cry about it. Saki's backstory is something I really want to know more about in the near future. |

| Weekly dose of My beloved twink BF Makoto. Another amazing episode and after how dark last ep was it’s nice to just see Ryuji, Aoi and Makoto hanging out having fun. Also a Ryuji focused episode for once! “Your eyes look so dead when you dress as a boy” 😭 warms my heart seeing Makoto happy again and able to live the way he wants to, at least at school. Still have the whole toxic mom at home situation, but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there I guess. Cool how they went with the Koe no Katachi approach where Makoto starts seeing his date from last week’s face again after he dresses back up! Finally comfortable in his own skin again. Ryuji becoming all jealous because Makoto started getting more attention at school was so adorable. He’s the sweetest person ever and a genuinely great friends I know it’s gotta be hard for him to keep his feelings bottled up, but he doesn’t want to add any stress on Makoto or make things awkward. In general this episode felt like him coming to terms about how he feels and a contrast between his feelings and Aoi’s feelings. Makoto’s aquarium date outfit was so cute omg 😭 he has the best fashion sense. Ryuji’s heart skipped a beat when he saw how cute it was too. Too bad they ran into someone from Makoto’s neighbourhood and had to cut the outing short :/ Ryuji getting all excited about the sleepover with Makoto and Aoi was really cute, he’s like a proper maiden in love at this point. His sister is also a great addition to the cast and even though she’s younger, comes off like the mature older sibling. She does raise an interesting point about how blunt Aoi is able to be with Makoto compared to Ryuji being shy and reserved about his feelings, but I don’t think that makes either of their feelings any more or less valid. Some people are just really at peace around the person they like and it feels like being around a great friend whereas others get nervous. Both are valid I do appreciate how the show approaches the advantages and disadvantages that Ryuji and Aoi have though because of their genders. Like Makoto is able to more physically intimate with Ryuji because he’s a guy, cuddling with him during the sleepover. Not sure how to properly put it into words but there’s a special connection that Makoto and Ryuji can have because they’re both men that he can’t have with Aoi and that works in Ryuji’s favour in terms of getting closer to him. Really good episode! |

| Both Ryuji and Saki are defintely happy that Makoto is back to his crossdressing stint, plus the other classmates who feel that Makoto in his crossdressing nature feels a lot more natural to talk to. And since he already threw away much of his girly stuff, Ryuji was about to have a moment where he saw Makoto as a girl, and even more as he can't quite figure out his feelings. Even with the aquarium date as the trio, Saki is the same as ever, but Ryuji is getting more heartstrings, and even an attempt to rescue him out of the usual neighbourhood people who recognize him, the best friend's had a moment, for sure. But this unconventional love triangle between the best friends and the shorty...it's quite the drama. As feared, Saki is quite bad in her studies, but yet she still can fantasize her time with Makoto, which rings bad for Ryuji. Instead, he decides to have a study camp at his place, though it's been a while that his sister Konatsu has seen him around, and the contention with him seriously falling for Makoto. From studies to making gyoza, Aoi is just being naturally clumsy that Makoto takes notice of her, just as Konatsu had surmised, and the hijinks don't stop there with the sleepover, coupled with ghost stories that Makoto is afraid of, only being able to sleep close to Ryuji, naturally of course. But the worse thing is trying to pop the question in front of Makoto if Aoi fancies him, which doesn't quite hinge right with him. More than Ryuji having affections for Makoto, is Aoi thinking the same way that she finally found her special person, despite loving him, even when her heart doesn't feel so? |

| I feel like the anime does a bad job developing the romances and with the constant over the top comedy it kind of loses itself. If done more seriously this could be really good It constantly throws you around. Should you feel sad now? Wait, there's a comedy relief, wait we're sad again.. And so on. GET A GRIP |

| I really like how this anime portrays Ryuuji and Aoi's different ways of showing affection to Makoto. Aoi is much more overt and physically affectionate, openly expressing her love, while Ryuuji is more the passive and quiet yet protective and loyal kinda love. Its really cool seeing that kinda thing! I think it adds a lotta depth to these characters. I also really like the reflection Ryuuji and Aoi are having on their love for Makoto. Is this love real? Am I truly in love? Is it okay for me to love them? Admittedly, it feels slightly rushed but ultimately its very human and engaging to me. Poor Ryuuji is struggling with understanding his sexuality I hope they both work out their emotions in a healthy and open way and all three end up happy together TvT |

| Ryuji looks more chill with his glasses on. Saki obviously has issues from something bad in past and feels a sort of pressure to get into a relationship to put her grandmother at ease or maybe for her dad and is lonely because her parents arent in her life now. |

| Aw I like the girl who lent out the wig to Makoto, and I like the little touch of the eyes reveal which probably symbolizes how Makoto has found another potential friend who accepts him for who he is. Overall, a good episode focused on Ryuuji and Aoi. Ryuuji is continuing to deny his feelings towards his friend, while Aoi is potentially trying to convince herself that she is in love with Makoto without actually being in love, in order to convince herself that she finally found that special someone in her life and to ease the worries of her grandmother. There's some interesting contrast between the two characters, and while I always gotta root for the childhood friend who will never end up being the end game, I gotta say, Aoi grew on me in the past two episodes. Although I also gotta say, I'm really tired of the happy-go-lucky + incredibly stupid-at-academics combo character archetype - I know Asia is very hard on academics, but are there really students that stupid who score 30s on their exams? Why's this so damn common in anime? Well anyways, I hope there's not too much focus on the love triangle going forward...although I wouldn't mind them becoming a throuple (0% chance of that happening though). Also, Ryuuji's little sister is cute. I find it pretty funny how well she knows her brother. |

| Really happy to see the three of them hanging out be it on teaching session for retest, aquarium visit and lastly sleep over. Now get more insight into Ryuji's developing feelings of love and Saki's feelings whether she's really into Makoto or not. I don't feel good watching this love triangle in a close-knit friendship like this. While all the comedic chibis are funny, the heartache is really building up. |

| such a captivating show Ryuji is just like me fr fr, but man I feel bad for him because he's in a really difficult spot, things will get sour for him before they get any better since I feel like Makoto really sees him as nothing more than a good friend, plus they're childhood friends and all that... but if they were to get together that would be an amazing love story! and Aoi... it seems the absence of her parents, especially her mother? is weighing hard on her and she wishes to replace this sense of anguish with someone new she can think of as special, only that parental love can't really be substituted by any other type of love... poor girl, appearing so cheerful when you suffer so much... all in all, everyone is having it real rough in the show so far and it seems like things will only get more complicated between them 3... |

| Gonna start by saying Ryuji looks really hot with glasses on. I really feel like he should be more confident with himself there's nothing wrong with him loving Makoto. I take back what I said about the classmates even after Makoto went back to normal they kept talking with him which I'm glad. Saki was my fav character since episode one. I love her explosive personality she brings the life to this show. But I find myself even more interested in her cause she's the only character of the three we no basically nothing about. Ryuji we know about his love and a bit about his family. Obviously we know all about Makoto. But Saki we only really know that she lives with her grandma and that her father never comes home. I'm curious if well learn what happened to her mother and most importantly how she actually feels about Makoto. When the sister said someone wouldn't just confess like that she's right to an extent cause I thought her being so open with her feelings is part of her personality. I'm gonna go on a whim and assume Saki is the same as Yuu koito, If anyone's watched bloom into you you'll know what I mean. But essentially she's a girl who is "aromantic" a person who cant fall in love but she wants to find love. (Although Yuu might not be the best example, Maki is probably a better example) But I could be wrong |

It is possible it could be made canon in the second half, since there are trans and nonbinary characters in the series and it isn't afraid to approach queer subjects, however, the creator is having trouble finding a studio to finish the second part :') (I wonder why-) Maki from Bloom Into You was the first aroace character I encountered in anime, which was awesome!! That series will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm really looking forward to seeing where things go for Aoi in this series, and may check out the manga at some point. |
