watched the first three episodes during the stream, and it was pretty interesting! i think the concept is neat, and i really like the ending song. i like the final fight they've shown us in this third episode a lot, and i hope that the fights later in the show get even crazier as the story progresses and everybody gets better acquainted with their powers. the artstyle doesn't really match what i was expecting when i looked at the character portraits, but it isn't too bad for sure. the cgi isn't my preference, but i will for sure get used to it and will probably not even think about it much going forwards. for reference, when their profiles get changed in the future, this is what Sawa's character profile on MAL looks like now:  versus what she actually looks like in the show:  this discrepancy is interesting because it's an anime original show, so i wonder at what point in the process that they decided to change the style. i probably should have asked that in the Q&A lol. now i gotta complain a little (a lot): forgive me if i missed anything obvious, i'm super tired right now so it's entirely possible i just missed a section of lore LOL |
| Goro still isn't convinced about the entire God game, and to make matters worse, his body is breaking everytime he uses his powers. Even if his best bud Akitsu is playing a prank by stealing his smartphone, that was literally the only way he would know of enemies nearby. The thing is, Goro's life outside of school was not a pleasant one, being an outcast for all his life until his classmate Akitsu came around to hang out with him and found solace with his way of living. A trustworthy friend Akitsu is one, and not one that Lall can control his feelings about. Goro finding Akitsu at the usual game center, but despite being a friend to him, Akitsu was just lying in wait to reveal his true power: Time Switcher, while slicing a part of his arm. That whole part of him killing people, it's defintely not a joke, and his power is undoubtedly the strongest so far with no rival to speak of. The Fool's Sutra, once expanded, elevates Goro's powers to a whole new height, and he obliterated his best bud, only to know that the future only withholds each other's deaths in deathly ways, with the one ray of hope that Goro would become God and change the world, made possble after he altered the future. Now THIS is some shitty death game I want to be heavily invested in... |

| The CG isn't by any means terrible and while the story has been a bit cliched, it's been fun so far. There's definitely worse shows this season (imo). |
| Akitsu nonchalantly mentioned that his father was shot by the Yakuza when he was just 3 years old. By the time he was 9, his mother attempted to end his life before taking her own. It's truly shocking. Poor guy had a rough upbringing. But damn, Akitsu truly pushed Goro to take action for a better future. He showed true loyalty in the end. Goro's life was quite miserable before Akitsu came into it. Now, his only friend is Lall. |

| I'm cool with how this episode ended. I was glad that his buddy was sacrificing himself for a better future. That made way more sense than him just being a deceiver trying to win the game. I also thought his buddy's power was pretty cool and creative. However, what even is the MC's power? Can someone explain to me? Is his power literally Deus ex machina? I must have missed something along the way. |

I'm cool with how this episode ended. I was glad that his buddy was sacrificing himself for a better future. That made way more sense than him just being a deceiver trying to win the game. The bigger his "wish" the bigger price he has to pay, that's why his whole life turned to shit when he resurrected the girl. And I guess that's why it's a D ability, even though it's pretty much limitless, the drawback is too big. And I think his companion also said something about the wishes shortening his lifespan. |
| So, considering the karma mechanics of his power, I'd assume having his best friend die was the karma to be paid to get his arm back and also erase from existence whatever he did to chomp down half of his body, according to the latter. So far there's a lot to speculate here, and this will be a long 2 cour run, apparently. I'll have to wait for answers patiently going forward, I guess. Well, fun stuff up to this point, I wanna see the other powers. |

| That kind of good. The writing is the strongest aspect of this show. I like the animation actually and the visuals too but do find the character design to be greatly lacking. |
