Sometimes, the mood of this show makes me roll my eyes. Wasn't expecting an arm wrestling contest this episode.

Well, Ryouta took care of business this week again as usual. I do wish Ryouta started using more variety in his skillset though. It seems he has talent enough to be a leader for his party.

Seems like Ryouta has discovered himself a new comrade – none other than leader of the Cyclo group, Neptune!

Pausing to catch his breath amid his dungeon exploits, Ryouta finds himself caught in a whirlwind of unexpected developments with Neptune. Neptune, the esteemed leader of the Neptune family and known for his unmatched prowess, astonishingly challenges Ryouta to a showdown of strength through an arm-wrestling bout. With an intriguing lack of hesitation, Neptune not only acknowledges Ryouta's potential but also extends an invitation to join his inner family. Which of course he devlines.

Meanwhile, a remarkable phenomenon materializes on the horizon – a mystical storm, an embodiment of nature's magic, steadily approaches the island. Its impending arrival threatens to nullify all magical abilities, casting an aura of uncertainty and vulnerability across the land.

Neptune takes on the role of the typical character who becomes captivated by the main protagonist, adding an intriguing dynamic, I guess. Ryouta efficiently handled his affairs, as per usual. However, I do hope he begins to diversify his overall way he handles his affairs, considering he has the skill to potentially position him as a leader within his squad one day.

It was great to learn more about Emily's background and how her mom sacrificed herself to help others, no wonder she sees her mums selfless actions in Ryouta

Royta is back in Nihonium, though this time dealing with mummies that increases speed with each drop. But someone tends to him being a harem magnet, wanting to arm wrestle with him after seeing the strength. For this Neptune guy to lose to Ryota, being the most powerful family in Secro, he's a force to be reckoned with, though Ryota has no intentions to join any group. But to prove the Princess Margaret's point that they're harvesting dropped items from air with their Pandora's Box, it reaps all various kinds of bullets for Ryota by sucking monsters from the dungeon and bringing them out to kill. But a magic storm is coming, and this rare natural phenomenon will affect everything and everybody, though there is help needed from Reyes to save Rosa from another dungeon.

The Silicon dungeon where there's a sighting of a dragon stray, that was where Emily's mother fought her life to sacrifice, and this time, both her and Eve take centerstage to ensure both Ryota and Rosa's survival. And just nice, Ryota acquired a healing bullet out of nowhere, making it ideal to heal Rosa.

Emily is in a better place now, good for her.

That was actually an okay episode for this show compared to the others. We got a bit of backstory for Emily which was pretty sad but at least it builds on her character a bit which is really needed. Also taking a break from the boring humor for something a bit more serious was nice.

Aw Emily backstory was actually pretty sad :/ no wonder she’s such a kind person. Her mom’s selflessness is something she sees in Ryouta as well. I’m glad the episode was more on the serious side instead of the usual jokey stuff from the first 4 eps.

Ryouta reminds Emily of her mother.
She always helped anyone, like Ryouta does.

Ryouta also found new special ammunition with that he can do more than just shot

So...he runs out of ammo because A) he only brought a few dozen bullets despite us watching him farm hundreds and B) because he then wastes them freezing lettuce to keep it from turning into more monsters, despite drops only turning into monsters outside dungeons?

Am I missing something?  Why doesn't he at least put ammo into his pockets, or into a backpack, or something?  And when did strays start showing up inside dungeons?  Both the lettuce and later the dragon hit on this, which I thought worked differently than the episode is showing.

Hell, why is he bothering to kill the low level mobs at all?  Given his stats and the situation, he should just be running past them.  Bypassing mobs you heavily out-level (or in his case, out-stat) is very standard in dungeon crawlers, and this is SUPPOSED to be mirroring RPG mechanics.  He's wasting time killing caterpillars that pose zero threat to him and freezing lettuce, while the person he's supposed to be saving is potentially dying.

Also, Emily's mom talks about her belongings turning into strays...does that mean no one can ever leave anything anywhere?  Why don't peoples' houses fill with strays any time they leave?  Why don't the buildings THEMSELVES turn into strays, since every part of them is also made with dungeon loot?  Fences, signposts, the stones in the street, lamps, etc.  This whole stray mechanic is highly problematic if you look at it too closely.

Speaking of Emily's mom, they don't explain why she stayed back, when she could have run with everyone else.  The episode did not present them as being in danger of actually being caught.  It really seems like her mom threw her life away for a heroic, but unnecessary, gesture.  Additionally, everything up until now has generally indicated that when strays spawn, they match the level/type of the drops that spawned them, so how does a super-stray randomly show up in a lower level dungeon?  Does that mean a higher level person deliberately dropped a powerful item to cause that incident?  VILLAIN PLOT TWIST?

Unattended items in dungeons do turn back into monsters (they've shown this before), though usually it's the original monster and not the more dangerous Stray, unless it was outside the dungeon. I suspect (but I don't think they've quite confirmed) that a monster drop left on the wrong floor can also go Stray, which is why it can sometimes happen even in a dungeon.

He didn't have a lot of bullets on him because he was back in town selling things after a run. He would have already used most of what we saw him farm, and not want to have more left than he could conveniently carry. But then he suddenly needed to fight through three floors of a dungeon without time to farm more bullets first.

Buildings would be safe because the items have been processed. Likely most things that have been partially used would also be safe. Equipment may or may not be safe depending if it dropped as is or if say it dropped as ingots and then had to be forged. They haven't really shown how that works yet.

Running past the monsters without killing them is risky, especially if he has an injured girl on the return trip. Having said that, this is another reason he's dumb for not using the healing bullet earlier.

Also, after demonstrating to everyone that it's a powerful weapon, pointing his gun at the injured girl without explanation could have gone quite badly -- people should have assumed it was a mercy kill rather than a heal.

his skills at acquiring those special seeds are evolving lol now he doesn't have to rely too much on his bullets when he runs out...except when he's fighting off insects and whatnots that are hard to engage in hand-to-hand lol

At this point Ryota's daily life is finding out what other kinds of bullets he can make out of the stray monsters.

I hope he gets to make nuke bullets too.

Emily's mom's demise was so unfortunate. Somehow Emily is fortunate to have met Ryota, and now she gets to live a normal life and not sleep in dungeons after all the years she was orphaned.

Lastly, the way they put the episode preview at the very start of each episode is still a poor choice IMO. It is obvious they are needing to put in more minutes in episodes (they are stretching scenes more than necessary) but they should've put previews at the end of episodes instead. Putting them at the beginning of new episodes is like spoiling it beforehand.

Pretty sure Ryota is only able to get the special bullets because he has s-grade drop rates, so why was Emily able to gather more?

Didnt expect a backstory with Emily but it is a nice though sad one.

A healing bullet is hilariously stupid. Imagine if he used a normal bullet on accident.

It was nice that he figured out a way to get special ammo and a chance for him to use it in the same episode, however the background of the female mc is not solid in my book. I understand strong protective mothers being helpful to others, however because they have a small child (when the female mc was younger), I highly doubt that they would want to put themselves in dangerous situations, in order to nurture and protect their children. On top of that, she took her child to a high level dungeon given that her child can't fully be responsible for their safety. But that my own misconception. So this is why her backstory now solid by my book.
I also think there is a huge misconception that adults have keep putting themselves in danger when they have children, to show them their kindness but kindness takes many forms and some doesn't require you to be in a dangerous situation. But that is me.

One of the better episodes. Ryota turns hero and save another adventurer who is a magic user in a dungeon. A back story of how Emily comes to see Ryota's actions as reminding her as her mom whose has similar demeaanor.
