The thing that baffles me most about this episode is the fact that the show is running simulcast on Disney+ and I slightly regret not to be subscibed on there just to be able to read the comments of the community on that. I'm sure this will rub at least some parents the wrong way.

I think the incorporation of 3d graphics, despite not being the absolutely peak ever achieved in an anime, is perfectly good. I especially like how they managed to make the moving models very detailed and fluid, yet being shaded and textured in a way that they absolutely look like organic parts of the rest of the animation. They're not looking like plastic toys pasted on the background of an anime, which you will often see with overexaggerated shiny reflections. Even a show like '86' which has the more expensive and better looking graphics overall gives us action scenes with mechas that have very shiny and very accurate specular reflections in fast movement - too shiny, too accurate to blend with the rest of the artwork and thus making them stand out as 'CGI', while using different, more natural looking mechas in the slower scenes.

On the side discussion about German in (this/other) anime: It sure keeps popping up randomly in anime here and there and if it's just one word or one phrase out of context, it sometimes isn't even clear to us native speakers if it's German now, because often the words are not exactly used the way, especially the compounds are formed differently and there are other languages that may have similar words. 'Schnee' for example is a German word, but you only see it written if you browse the character list here, going only by the sound of it, it might as well be the Danish word with the identical meaning.

Is there maybe some interest in making a MAL club to collect German words and phrases in anime and manga with their translations? I'd be in!
