Well, I do like how Ann takes her chances and even influenced Glen this episode. Speaking of Glen, he seems like somewhat of a complex character.

This series continously deals with sweets though, and it was another chance to show what Ann has learned throughout the show.

Ann did convince Glen, and now Paige Workshop can join. Challe's wing is at stake and she will be kicked out. I'm sure she'll do her best to get selected.
Damn, Mythrill! Why did you interrupt Challe and Ann?! You should have just kept quiet 🤦

Ann get her current quest updated.

Bridget sure is nasty, but at least she respect the sculpture.

I like Orland now. He likes Bridget, but stand up against her antics. Bonus: He is Shall discount version.

As standard, another case need therapy, and probably Ann will be the therapist.

Troubles never last long in this season. Because of prevailing SNS, youtube and so on, one of the trendy words is "taipa (time performance)" in Japan. It is the tendency to save time for doing things. A typical example is watching video at faster than realtime. It has affected to the style of light novels as well. Thus, anime would not have been able to escape from it too.

I still don't know if these products are edible or not, is this like a cake competition or it's just purely for decoration, inedible but last long for years...

I find it interesting that this workshop is anti-monarchy, the thought of commoners trying to please the King, which is the richest person in the kingdom, doesn't resonate with my political ideology.

The candy is edible, we've seen them eaten by Hugh and the fairy of the King last season.

Honestly this separation arc is tiring and I'm hoping it ends real soon, it's like at this point why should I even care about Anne and Shall's relationship when the show wants to do everything possible to make sure they barely even see each other? Also I don't see why Anne should have to be Bridget's pretend therapist and be nice to her after all the shit she put her through, I love Anne but man she's too nice for her own good

Ann really got Glen to change his mind.
Now they just need to find something they want to create.

It was good to find out new things about the workers there..
The little Cliffhanger there at the end was also good

it just reminds me of ice sculpture, while ice is edible, ice sculpture is not due to its unsterile sculpture process. And it seems like this sugar sculpture is judged purely based on the design, not the taste.

WAIT. We were really about to get a Challe Anne kiss??? Damn it Mithril Lid Pod really cockblocked us there 😂

On the bright side, Anne finally convinced Glen to join the selection. Now it’s just a matter of bringing all these people from diverse backgrounds together to create a piece that not only exemplifies Paige workshop, but Glen and his family. Going to be a tough ask. But if anyone can do it it’s Anne.

I like that we got some backstory on all the members of the workshop this episode as well. The pacing being as slow as it has in this second season or cour, has allowed us to really connect intimately these characters unlike last season where we were just bouncing around constantly.

Personally, I’m never going to feel bad for Bridget. They’re making it out to be that she’s never had control over anything in her life, so that’s why she wants to control Challe, but meh, fuck her idc.

Really good episode as always and wow what a cliffhanger to leave off on.

She convinced him to join the contest and help them win the first place, and I wonder who attacked him in the last scene.

Big fan of Boss Anne but just when you think the episode would have ended on a pretty nice tone Elliot ended up stabbed, did @Lightsrevenge and I jinxed it by talking about Jonas and someone getting stabbed last week, is fucking Jonas back at it again?

Yeah it does seem like these candy sculptures are mainly sought after for the craftsmanship with the taste being secondary.

Omg I was holding my breath when Shall about to kiss Ann but then Mythrill appeared out of nowhere oh gosh x'D almost!!

I really want to see them kiss because the first "kiss" in Part 1 was between Shall and that damn Bridgett. Ahhh but it's okay, let's save that precious moment for the right time!

But I really liked seeing Ann continue to be stubborn towards Glen-san, that's the kind of stubbornness I like. She really knows what she's focused on and what she wants to achieve, and she's doing it not only for her pride or for Shall but also for everyone who's there for Page's workshop all this time :) although I'm sure the journey won't be smooth, whether it might be Bridgett or it could be Keith who gets in the way...

Or even a new character...? Like in the next episode preview..

Anne is always so sweet and understandable for everyone, so I liked how she was stubborn with Glen.
I hope she wins this festival bc I can’t get wait any longer to her and Shall be together and away of this crazy people. Everyone just wants to use them and receive things from them but she never gain nothing in return.
Abt the kiss…I am speechless…the lill fairy….I will keep waiting

Anne's persistent argument to Glen for the participation, through at the behest of the Paige Workshop of Glen's father the old master who stopped the entire fiasco, she wants to break that tradition to get the workshop back to its former glory.

The Paige Workshop has more than policies that Anne is trying to break, through Glen takes this as an insult from generations past. This is the same to Anne, now the Head of Artisans, whom Glen still does not recognize her as part of the workshop. Elloitt finds this amusing that Anne is trying to defy Glen, though the result of the workshop is all from him, which Elloitt is one of the beneficiaries from this, along with Orland, whom Glen took him in as well. Add that to King and Nadir, and Anne notices a trend that everyone is blessed by him in some shape or form. It's that thought that Glen chooses to reverse his policy for this one time, putting both Challe and her job as collateral for the Workshop to join the Holy Beginnings Festival. But man, Mithril sure spoiled their moment when Challe is going for a kiss with Anne.

As the Head of Artisans, Anne wants all 4 artisans (plus herself) to work on one single sugar confection, though understanding tradition would be best for a starting point. But that tradition is vaguely understood, and with less than 2 weeks, they don't have all the time to read it. And the only person that could, they have to turn to the most willingless of Bridget for help, which obviously she declines without Challe in tow. For Orland, it was an apology because he did the exchange, and he was the only one who knew about her secret hding place, and his retaliation is a result of his anger on her for nowt moving on, that the road to an artisan for women is a road rife with thorns. Anne's decision on a sugar confection, it's to honour Glen and his Workshop's legacy, though a sudden cry for help saw Collins being hurt.

Who is the culprit?

Ann wasn't afraid to speak her mind to the headmaster, and it appears that she's gotten into his head, because he caved in, and agreed to allow Paige to enter the competition.

I'm excited to see how this turns out.

Hm. Personally I found this episode just... ok. I don't know why the story of this season doesn't grab me as much as the first one. But I kind of like that while in the first season we got to see Anne improving her own skills, here it's about working together and how to do so. It's also nice to see their going for something Glen would like (also that he allowed they enter the selection).

I loved the moment between Anne and Challe but I was really mad at Mythrill. Sure, he doesn't want to be there when they kiss but then just jump off earlier!

A part of me gets why it must be very difficult for Bridget if she can't pursue her true passion BUT at the same time it doesn't justify how she behaves and that she treats others horribly. It was still nice to see how much Orlando cares about her (and also Anne's gesture). I really start to like Orlando not just because of his VA but also it's thanks to him Chalel is not bound to submit to Bridget's moods anymore. Still, I find the reasoning for her father keeping his wing and the conditions a bit weird and far fetched.

It ended with a cliffhanger and I'm really curious what happened to Elliott. Also who's the mysterious person from the preview-picture? I think he/she is on the poster too. (I have a guess but that would be weird...).
You're the light shining over The black and gloomy nights
So long I've been waiting To run into your arms
Oh, my only one desire You're the one I need
