The same goes for Dress Up Darling that you claimed to be an exception. Gojo, in teenage terms is a loser that plays with dolls and has no friends. He won Marine over because she, for no real reason, decided to be friendly with him and ask him for help, became friends with him very shortly after and then fell for him because he said she was "pretty" while cosplaying. In real life, a girl like her would just ignore Gojo at the very least, and he'd keep on being alone unless he changes his approach and breaks out of his shell. People like Bokuyabai because of the gradual development of the couple's relationship. No one thinks that what the main couple started from and to where they eventually reach is realistic, mostly because the main guy, in real life, would creep the main girl more than likely due to his negative view over everything, his lack of unique positive skills or the fact he barely communicates early on. If you want some realistic romance I don't think anime is the right place to look for it, unless there are very specific franchises that attempt to display something like that (and then they will very likely be boring, as realistic romantic development takes time, especially if you want real pure emotions and not just shallow attraction or to see a honeymoon phase where nothing is really based on reality). |
