Does Stand give everyone the ability to understand Japanese?

2 Japanese
1 American
1 French
1 Egyptian
1 Doge

Yet somehow there's no language barrier among these guys? Does having Stand powers gives them the ability to understand Japanese? In Part 5, Kouichi understands Italian because of Rohan's stand ability.

long answer: jotaro and kakyoin are students, so they probably can speak english
polnareff is european, so he probably learned english, since it is very common there
joseph is american so he speaks english
avdol has the same reason as polnareff but he's egyptian
iggy can't speak

I thought it was pretty well established that everyone was speaking English in Part 3?

- Jotaro is a hafu, and while Holly's Japanese was basically natural at the start of the series, it's safe to say that wasn't always the case and probably spoke some English to Jotaro during his childhood.
- Kakyoin is an honor student, very likely to have aced English as a subject in school, despite how inneffective the school English subject can be.
- I don't need to explain Joseph
- Polnareff may be a goof, but he was on a quest for revenge that would take him overseas. English is a compulsory subject in France, so it can be assumed he'd take at least a little time to make himself understandable in English.
- I think English is not a compulsory course in Egypt, but Avdol IS a fortune teller who once befriended English-speaking Joseph. He also serves as a guide to the group in several of the places they visit. So we can assume he has traveled a fair bit (which often requires at least some knowledge of a more international language) and he's used to having foreign clients for his fortune telling.

they were in India Singapore UAE Japan Egypt and lots of other places and spoke to the citizens of all of the countries they went to even the locals in Japanese or English or whatever 😂

Its theorized that they are all speaking English (the worlds most common second language) and that thats why jotaro doesn't talk much since he doesn't speak it as well as the others. Either that or araki literally just didn't even bother attempting to address it lol

jojo unironically has an amazing dub but no one watches it because sub is too iconic. if anyone reading this ever decides to rewatch jojo give the dub a shot (also Joseph is voiced by the guy who voices numba 1 in kids next door lmao)

I think the manga vaguely addressed this and I think they're speaking English. It's why Kakyouin and Polnareff's friendship always kind of entertained me since they're like vibing. I could be remembering that wrong though

I think in an IRL situation they're probably speaking to each other less fluently than canon makes it seem

well in japan english is taught from a young age and since avdol and polnareff have travelled the world it isn't insane to believe that they all have some grasp of the English language so in my opinion if you want the most authentic jojo experience then watch part 1-3 and 6 in English dub, 4 in Japanese and then 5 in Italian dub, its the only way

in p4, they are speaking japanese, except joseph
