| First time in more than ten years i followed a anime in direct. (Previous was Saint Seiya Omega). So it's the last part of the Shirona vs Ash fight. Going full Mega Lucario ! Using the tornado to step in ... :') But it's not enough and so the Daimax stopped the attack. The back attack was great, really but Togekiss was not enough ... And the music changed. Really feel like a Dragon Ball moment ... and Togekiss was not defeated ?! Seriously, it's feel like Garchomp was not the best pokemon of Cynthia ! But Lucario is really in a bad shape after the togekiss fight. The OST for the last fight ... Really feel like the final one of Ash ... It's a fist fight ... BUT ASH WON THE FIGHT ! It"s was a great ending ... so one last fight ... and Lucario going to Garchomp. Seriously, i'm just happy. |

| it was a great battle and the most awaited conclusion to the battle. the battle had its pros and cons. i will talk specifically about the cons cuz pros are good so dragonite lost without doing anything. my point being lucario battled both togekiss and garchomp which is fine but we all knew garchomp wasn't a pushover. instead dragonite and lucario could have battled togekiss and garchomp (whatever order doesn't matter). now coming to garchomp pushover point, instead of garchomp being the tough guy, it came out to be togekiss. tbh garchomp should've been the one to resist that much but whatever. Ash won against Cynthia Letssss Gooooo boisss I couldn't be more happier than this. We got Greninja cameo, other Ash's mon at Oak lab, Oak and Dehlia. I thought we could have got some companions of Ash but I think its reserved for Ash vs Leon. |

| For me ,of all the champions in Pokemon, Cynthia stood at the apex as a queen. I have been watching Pokemon since the OG and no other champion ever hyped me more than her. The awe and fear she held since the gen 4 games and anime is known to all. Therefore, this episode felt a lot nostalgic and exciting as the journey finally reaches it end. |

| Ash beating Cynthia is one of the most ridiculous and dumbest things I have ever seen in my life. It should have been complete destruction like the first semi final, this result made absolutely no sense whatsoever. Ash is not of the same level as Cynthia and never should have beaten her. The only way this could ever make sense is if Ash wins the entire tournament and then is retired from the entire series as there is nothing more you can do once you gain the title of the strongest and best in the world. If there is a new series coming with a brand new protagonist and no Ash anymore then it is fully understandable. If Ash doesn't beat Leon then what was the point of this battle and result? |

After freaking out as to who I thought was going to win What if there is a double knock out? Turns out first to stand wins. Crazy battle. So proud of my boy Satoshi. |

| Garchomp VS Lucario was much shorter than I expected but I liked the bit where they fight each other intensely in close range. Charizard and Noivern hugging Oak was pretty cute, ngl. |

| The end of an era... Most of my personal candid take on 'Ash vs Cynthia' has already been shared with previous episodes, but here's a "summary": The Good: The Whatever or Idk: The Bad: It was probably one of the best battles in the show although this was expected since it is very rare for a match to span 3 full episodes. I just think it's a shame it took place under kinda unfavorable circumstances - a more commercial season than ever that was far more concerned with making Goh, Leon and Lucario look amazing than building and delivering the most exciting and competitive tournament Ash has ever taken. Anyway, Congratulations Ash, at least it's good that they have resolved this long-awaited battle once and for all. |
| And there it is, one of the more controversial moments I can remember in Pokemon, Ash not just beating Steven, but also Cynthia lol. Not a fan. |

Cynthia believed that if she won the Masters Tournament, she would have reached her limit and couldn't get any more stronger, hence why she wanted to retire to focus on being an archeologist. But after her battle with Ash, she realized that there is more room to grow even more stronger than before, thus withdrawing her decision to retire. It's sorta like how Leon was afraid that he couldn't get any more stronger after an endless count of victories, but when he couldn't catch the Eternatus and saw that Ash did, he also realized that there's more room to grow more stronger. In a sense, Ash is sole proof that Pokémon Trainers have a lot more room to grow and become more stronger than before. Limits be damned, you can further test your strengths and go beyond boundaries that you haven't gone before. |
| Cynthia was clearly better but the show had to make Ash win this time to compete in the final battle of the tournament, at least I'm happy that Cynthia isn't retiring from battles |

| That was a great battle. Ash beating Cynthia is a huge moment and now there's no way back. He's gotta beat Leon and finally achieve his dream of becoming a Pokemon Master and end his journey. I truly believe this is the final series with Ash (this Ash) as we reach the end of an era. I just hope we see some more old companions before the end, especially May and Max. Either way I'm rooting for my boy. |
| This was by far the best Pokebattle of the entire anime so far, no wonder they took their sweet time making it 3 episodes long. By the end I was having some Gurren Laggan finale flashbacks, it was just missing Sorairo Days playing, really haha Easiest 5/5 I gave to the 2019 series so far, and that's saying something considering the previous 2. |

| Loved Togekiss and the fact Ash had to use the giant Aura Sphere during that fight instead of his battle against Garchomp, perfect use of Reversal too. Ash's reaction to winning was truly the end of an era, I felt that but a bit weird they didn't showed anyone from the D&P's days. Lucario helping Garchomp stand up was cute, two of the most popular Pokémon from the 4th generation. Cynthia first loss showed onscreen so she decided not to retire lol A recap is coming next so the calm before the storm (Ash vs Leon). |
| This episode was so freaking insane. It shows how much Ash has grown as a trainer, seeing he defeated Cynthia, the second strongest trainer in the world under Leon. I want Ash to win the final because I dislike Leon. I feel like his character is just written to be undefeated to drive the plot (to have Gen 8 in the limelight and all that). But anyways, this battle was super hype to the point where it gave me goosebumps watching it. |
I'm a blunt and pessimistic guy who tries to be nice to everybody. Whether that's off-putting or not is for you to decide. |
| This battle made me doubt the outcome of the finals. I'm trying to think about this as a writer would: Lucario just had his moment of glory in this tournament, it won't happen again against Leon, but the opening already teased us Dynamax Charizard VS Mega-Lucario and I doubt Charizard is gonna be taken down by a regular move/Pokémon. So... If Mega-Lucario doesn't win, is Ash gonna lose? Or maybe Pikachu will actually pull it off and bring Ash's journey to a perfect conclusion? It was a nice battle though, but Garchomp didn't feel as menacing as it should. |

| Greninja sensing Lucario and Satoshi's aura was the most hype shit ever. God this series works so well because it doesn't shy away from making great call-backs, whereas past seasons mostly ignore a lot of what happened in the past. |
