Episode actually turned out to be fine, with the fantasy setting, monsters, protagonist, and even slimes. Yup, more than one slime.

Story feels kinda messy at the moment but we do get Yuuji using some of his skills and also a glimpse at his stats according to those data. Oh and Dryad is kinda cute I guess. It's actually how I had expected this out to turned out to be so far.

Opening hour-long, 2 episode premiere.

Novelist Shinkoshoto is back after the absymal "demon lord Isekai" generic rip-off that is Winter 2022's Shikkakumon, and if you think is any better than Tensei Slime or Spring 2021's Slime 300 (which studio Revoroot has produced before and is now producing this anime), don't ever think about it unless you're delusional.

Slimes are back to thwart the fantasy world, and the main character's Yuji Sano (whom just looks like an older version of Matthias Hildesheimer) who's a monster tamer...more specifically, a slime tamer.

But a monster battle first more than anything that establishes the support characters first Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear style than starting from the beginning, I notice that recently, anime premiere episodes like to do this a lot to give the idea of how the world works before time began. It's not exactly bad per se, but definitely will feel lost on what's going on. And this is definitely the case with the OP Yuji working with his friends of both slimes, personal aide Proud Wolf and the town's many adventurers that have befriended him in the series to take down monsters and ringmasters responsible, that for now, is only linked to cursed magic stones.

Thw town is saved, but the Hero vanishes into the night, and the plot sets in of the strongest sage of the fantasy world, though not far off from Shikkakumon a.k.a Strongest Sage, Weakest Crest.

Ok, at least this feels a lot more decent than Shikkakumon, though I'm not holding my breath that it's gonna be good, just so-so the same as said series.

That's the 2nd time this author's work(out of 2) that the beginning parts of the story has been skipped over. Another cold open to just display the climax of the first arc. And it really doesn't work, like at all. It just confuses the viewers over what's happening and it doesn't paint a good impression to just drop the start of the show in a climax. It may leave a lot of questions but there would be no need to have questions in the first place since details will be clear had we started from the logical beginning of the story.

Finally we've been granted a slime isekai show, without a main character that is either a kid ... or reincarnated into gay. Tho this still looks pretty average, like even the visuals are eeh (dude, the smoke was literally static, what in the hell), at least base on the first (part of the two episodes that aired at the same day ?)episode ... which is probably a good tell of how the rest of the show goes.

Still, you gotta love how the mc-kun fits right into the setting with his way of dressing up, lol.

For some reason I was kinda looking forward to this adaptation, but this first episode straight up had me doubt my feelings, given how fast and furious things went down. Though there's a second episode too I guess, so maybe this was a deliberate move from the production side.

Action scenes were like okay at best, and good to see atleast there's no one to publicly harass our main dude, the all so common practice of this genre.

I didn't expect it to start with a whole bunch of action but it wasn't bad either tbh. I hope in futures episodes they explain more of the plot and him. I guess this first episode was to hook us in into the anime and wait for episode 2, which it did. So yeah pretty cool stuff at the moment.

Animation wasn't the best but I still felt like Keisuke Kojima talent shown through and we got some cool shots.

Interesting but fun way to start the series and maybe my favourite first episode yet from a seasonal (still early). The slimes are fun and cute so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

This lived up to my expectations of embodying of every worst trend of the entire genre (aside from misogynistic fanservice) it’s borderline self-parody. It’s a shame it’s blessed with pretty solid lighting and cute slime creatures, despite how utterly vacuous everything else about it is. The MC gives Tatsuya Mahouka a run for his money in terms of sheer OPness.

Perhaps it's because I didn't have much time for anime lately that something so basic is ideal for getting my fix. Nothing like comfortfic on Monday.

I liked this overall. The story definitely has a Strongest Sage feel to it, but I really like the slimes. They’re so adorable and they’ve got their own personalities! Definitely made the premiere much better. Other than that, the animation wasn’t bad and the mc seems fine.

ok for the first episode this kinda weird since every isekai-reincarnated theme anime always had the "original" version of the mc before he died, and the funny scene here for me was the "Magic Creation" scene, idk why the Magic List was similiar to Node Editor in Blender 3D Software haha

not much of a introductory start, we jumped straight into plot and the action scenes.. Will they explain it further down the line? or was that 10 second "flashback" more than enough for people to realize its an isekai besides the fact that there is the word ISEKAI in the show title..

omw to 2nd episode that got released altogether with 1st one..

is a meh start tbh

His max MP is at quadruple digits. His MP deficit is at sextuple digits. He either used every single health point with one remaining, OR he used every single health point with one remaining, AND the HP to MP conversion is horrible.
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load.

I like it, it definitely seems kinda generic right now but there were some things I noticed here that I really liked, including how the side characters weren’t completely useless and actually got some badass moments, and I also really like the slimes and their different personalities, I feel they’re going to be the part I like most about this show lol.

And as for Yuji, I don’t have much of an opinion on him yet, but he seems alright, and a tamer is an interesting class. And I’ll say I don’t know if I like that we were just thrown into the world with little explanation or not lol, like yeah it was a fun action packed first episode but we don’t know much at all about Yuji or his powers (except what we saw here), or about the world he’s in. I’m guessing we’ll get it as we go. And I don’t know if that was the OP or ED we heard at the end but it rocked for sure.

And I noticed this is by the same studio that did Slime 300, “Revoroot”, which I absolutely loved but I’m not sure if I’ll love this one or not lol, it’s also funny how they did two slime themed Isekais.

There is nothing good to say about this... slimes are kinda fun but yeah. It's trash (so far) and I am trash (so far) and this means I will continue to watch it (until it gets any worse). Can't hope for too much when over half of the listed cast are slimes.

Generic isekai is generic.

Last season's skull hero at least got a basic passing grade with me because the characters entertained me, but so far the mc here looks to have all the personality of a stump and the summons... well, a cowardly wolf and idiot slimes might be interesting, but can they do a hard carry?

Not a lot of expectations on this one, but maybe it'll surprise me.

Isekai trash of the season? Well, not completely. For one, the MC does face consequences for using a lot of power, little though they may be. Secondly, the other characters had some role, however minor in the grand scheme of things, to play instead of just reacting to the MC's power.

The slimes were pretty fun to watch in how they acted as an information network for the MC.

Best graphics ever!!!

Seriously though, one thing I liked with the episode is that the head of the town looks like a competent man. Usually it would be some Arrogant Noble, or maybe a cute girl, or a cartoonish buffoon. Or an old man. It's unusual in an isekai to see an authority figure be a man in his prime who is capable and also handsome. That is not what the otakus want nearby, as that kind of man is their bane.

Woo, post 500!

They don't show how he gets the powers or even the entirety of the first arc.
The monsters used in episode 1 are not at all what we're shown in the manga (it was just a regular stampede of regular monsters). We don't get shown how he meets Dryad-san. The starting town now had a river surrounding it and he is now apparently doing his magic on top of the guild building 's balcony instead of the watch tower we see in the manga. We don't see how he meets any of his companions, we only see a couple and that is only in the promo material. I don't think this will have a good adaptation at all.

Not sure if I'm glad or not they skipped all the early story stuff. For those who are anime only, it's basically just your generic isekai tropey intro you've already seen in every isekai. However, I don't remember this series getting particularly better later so I'm not sure why they feel the need to rush/skip it. Also everything just conveniently happening in perfect order with the plot just made the show look even worse.

gave it a 4/5 in the poll the art style was great but the one thing that held it back was the disjointed backstory although he switch of art styles as great from his new world to the old world. the proud wolf remains me of scooby doo. the slimes are cool and so is the dryad. if i hadn't been able to see the second episode right way i made have only gave it a 3/5

Was a bit disappointed of almost everything beside the art. it looks like a 15 year old directed it, lots of animation mistakes and awkward scenes. but i like the basic idea, let's see if the next episodes have a higher production quality.

Yeah first episode and no backstory, it didn't even feel like an Isekai, maybe episode two covers more of the backstory. Hopefully it gets better, its got a really interesting premise with the slimes and all.

An anime with OP MC, as usual, but at least it has consequence for using OP power. And slimes he tamed have personalities, quite interesting so far. However, the animation is kinda stiff.

As a manga reader, I'm okay with Yuji's face being redesigned to look less "meh" resting state and more bishie in a sense. I'm hoping that when he has his "oh, okay" Saitama moments they'll revert back to his disinterested "meh" face.

Pretty good for a first episode, but I can see why people weren't thrilled with there being so much action right off the hope and them skipping all of his background. Glad they released two episodes at once.
I reject your reality, and substitute my own.

Quite an interesting yet generic series.

On one hand, it's a pretty much the same Isekai OP MC adventure.

On the other, it's a quite interesting watch that's fairly chill and not overly dramatic.

(whereas tons of recent Isekais now includes over-dramatic violence, killing and rape)

(and interestingly, the few Isekais that isn't over-dramatic are those that has slimes in it... huh...)

___ ___ ___

I like the little slimes interactions, they're kinda funny, LOL

Also, that one slime with the mustache... Mr.Pringles that you?

That was really bad. I haven't read the LN but I've read some of the manga and they just skipped over the entire first arc?? Even if I didn't know that it would still be awful. the pacing was non-existent and it referred to events that have happened but that they haven't shown yet . . . 5/10 because the slimes are cute. Animation isn't great either. Can't put my finger on it but it just feels off.
