LOL, some of the disguises from this episode is fashionably cute. Felt like the directors put some effort to make the episode entertaining.

I like the overall entertainment setting of this episode imo and looks like Memenpu enjoyed spending time with her friend. That was also some nice singing.

Ironically, the name of the colony is Dream City but people there can't achieve their own dreams or don't even have a dream.

The 2nd last episode that sees the father-and-daughter duo, along with Yuri and Zackletu descending into the final destination: Dream Colony with the help of Merooro, the Shibito terrorists will be of utmost attention...as well as both Memempu and Gagumber because of false accusations.

The disguises along with the princess diva Sina (voiced by the ever lovable Saori Hayami), I'd reckon that Dream Colony is a mimesis of an aberration of America if the world was made underground. All that Sina wanted to do was to relive her simple childhood days, even the Game Boy-inspired scene and her love for painting is proof of that. Living the American Dream that's oppressed by the choices that you make, with terrorists (Shibito) and chased by authorities that falsely accuse people, how quaint.

Merooro spent his life protecting the world that is blissful, that with Shibito's involvement, only asks for the worse to come and expect.

Conspicuously, I'm kinda disappointed that Memempu's dream still has aways to go, and that is definitely the fault with the storywriting and/or pacing here. Oh well, let's see what the ending has in store for us.

The message is very simple, like living your dream, but it is so well-executed that this is the best episode yet.

The classic runaway princess episode. I liked this one because it brought the whimsical fun back with a poignant ending. There was the Saori Hayami performance to boot.

I really enjoyed the episode soar hayamis voice is always music to my ears. the society they live in really does not leave space for personal dreams it seems like. maybe the terrorist group are the good guys all along ? memempu might even join them ..

hope there is going to be another season

I'm glad they went realistic with Sina's story. Dreams can't always come true, and sometimes you need to sacrifice your own wants for the sake of others. I also liked how they compared her selflessness to that of the gang, and Memempu remarks how others keep putting others before themselves. She's so close to figuring out she's a selfish kid.

So is there going to be another cour? Because there's no way they can satisfyingly wrap things up within the next episode. Yuri and Zackletu have been entirely pointless additions to the main cast, and their only chance at redemption is another season to justify their continued existence.

Great episode! Once again, Memempu and Gagumber have been suspected for no reason at all xD. Sina was an ok character but I didn't like that she didn't care that she made everyone suspect Memempu and Gagumber. Her paintings are unique and pretty nice though.

Looking forward to the next episode!

A thing that still horrifies me is when people with extreme long hair cut their hair, seeing years of growth disappear.

Was a good episode but certainly with a very very depressing message.

And so now after being stranded on an underground island and being rescued by a submarine battleship and having a fight on board with the shibito, we’re now chilling at an opera house, to be followed by helping a diva live out some of her dreams. Okay then!

If this show was meant to be a journey played out in an episodic style, like a samurai champloo or a cowboy bebop, then it isn’t so bad. If it fully embraced this short story format then it’s quite alright. However there also seems to be some sort of linear story going on as well, or rather, a sort of crooked story. In the end, it just seems to be a compilation of random events smashed together. I feel like this original anime doesn’t know what it wants to be, and is suffering because of that.

Now then, just focusing on this episode today alone, I liked it. A sweet, perhaps bittersweet, and simple story about a diva. And it looks like we’re going to finish off the season with her as well, rescuing her from the shibito. Season will probably end with the reveal of who they really are. At least we get a two-episode arc to end the series.

Saori's voice is impressive as always, glad she got the role of Sina. The song at the end was so very good. Memenpu did not understand the purpose of living for someone else. This show has some good and bad eps but this one is impressive!

So this is going to have a second season or a non finale. The episode felt out of place and incoherent, but that isn't something new with this anime. The drawing scene was the most interesting part, it has some impact carrying the overall message, but the adventure part was extremely dull, and the singing quite melodramatic. The after credit was... predictable I guess

This episode was way too fast-paced for its own good. Introducing a new character and rushing through their cliche, cloistered princess arc in a single episode is not ideal, especially when you lack the finesse needed to do such a task.

Seems like an open-ended/inconclusive finale is practically guaranteed at this point, although, knowing how erratic Sakugan's pacing is, I wouldn't hold my breath.

If they can still insert a kind of standalone-ish episode this far in, then there's definitely gonna be a sequel, which is nice if there is. Since, they're still not near Memempu's goal at all.

That was a nice episode though, about dreams. Sina is cool, plus she's voiced by Hayami Saori.

Hands down I think this was the best episode of the season. I liked how they kept Gagumber silent and stoic and told the story through the princess and Memempu. I'm not gonna lie I was tearing up at the end. I feel like this episode could have made a good season finale but we will have to see what they have in store for us next week. Now if you'll excuse me I'm off to finish aquatope

memempu discovers that not everyone can do everything they want unlike her! okay yeah saying that abt a kid who's like not even 10 is pretty mean.

im honestly not into these kinds of messages because its kinda ? and generic, always done the same way too but this was a nice ep. i liked how gagumber was silent most parts here NOT SAYING I HATE HIMM just that he Needed to be silent a lot here, letting memempu realize and figure things out on her own

You can easily tell from a mile away that Sina's voice was by Saori Hayami and her voice, as always, is great. The princess running away trope was done pretty well here, as Memempu had to understand that not everyone has the desire to live their life the way that she wants to.

Despite being a child genius, she's still a child herself, so this is a good lesson for her to understand what humans want to do with their life choices, even if it doesn't look to be ideal for them.

What did occur to me was the way this episode was like, considering that there's only one episode left. Either we get a rather scuffed ending, which wouldn't make much sense, or it ends where a second season can continue. I would easily prefer the latter, as I have been enjoying this series, despite the imperfections with the story pacing and some animation hiccups.

glad to hear familiar voice, it's Saori Hayami.

I like the message of the story here but this is a bold decision to introduce a new character, give a whole episode for the character considering we are one episode away from the Season Finale next week.

and the cliffhanger though, Gagumber wasn't Memempu real father?? what

I'm honestly have no idea how they gonna ended it in one episode.

Instantly recognised Saori Hayami's voice for Sina.

Throughout the episode, I got the impression that this was all staged and the whole kidnapping chase was part of Sina's show (an audience-participation thing where everyone but Memempu and Gagumber were aware), I was wrong but I had fun speculating.

I feel a sense of irony that Memempu is the one telling Sina and the kids they don't have to do a profession because their parents did. Memempu is very enthusiastic about becoming a marker but Gagumber, a marker himself, was hesitant about it.

Ah, so the bodyguards may have been in on it. Shibito's target was the opera house, so if their victim isn't there, they have to kidnap her back from Memempu and Gagumber.

As I speculated last episode. The Shibito girl has a similar hair color to Memempu. I'm thinking all the rainbow children are clones or siblings.

Good episode, but there's only 1 left!!! It was odd seeing a "filler" kind of episode so late.

The storytelling is so nonsensical. Once again far too fast of a pace for what they are trying to do. Introducing a new character and blitzing through the cliche runaway rich girl thing to get a decent message across... Plus it's completely absurd that this Diva girl would just go along with two complete strangers and basically tell them her life story.

This was a really bittersweet one-off episode. There was a lot of fun antics, and Sina was a really fun character to get to know. I was so sad by the ending, I wanted to see her pursue her real dreams, but it wasn't possible and because of this, I doubt we will see much more of her should Sakugan continue.

I really thought Gagumber was sweet in this episode too, it seems like he attempted to comfort Memempu after Sina left and it shows he might have actually learned something from what Merooro said to him. He's actually starting to let people into his heart again and that's great to see from him!

The usual be what you want to be and achieve your dreams but this time in a rotten society (colony) where they can't do it at all and have to sacrifice what they want to do to please the society and have a pre-assigned value hmm actually that was both sad and heartwarming for the Diva since she experiments all her dreams and what she wanted to do but only during one day, and now she's back to her diva role, though what's really interesting is how ended the episode with the Shibito group attacking them once again and I wonder what they mean when they say that Gagumber isn't Memempu's real father, I would be surprised if that was the case, only one episode left anyway hope they'll answer to our questions next.

That was a surprisingly good episode, considering how disappointing most of the series was. Fairly cliche but pleasant to watch.

...anyway! Now, dear scriptwriters, you have just 23 minutes to wrap up the entire plot, have them reach the tower, reveal who Urorop is, whatever happened to Gagumber's friend, what is the plan of the masked terrorist guys, what are "rainbow children", who is Memempu's real father, what is the mystery behind the unusual kaiju behavior...

...Dammit, they are going to end this with a "to be continued", aren't they.

(2nd season never ever)

Oh, and Memempu can just casually jump off a 10 meter high balcony I guess

It's the best episodic episode of the series (will neeeever be a match for Space Dandy or Kino no Tabi tho).
I thought it was an episodic series so every episode should be like this with new characters, a new city / place etc. and some kind of morale or taste in the mouth at the end of the episode.

But you still got so stupid stuff in it you really need to put your brain off to enjoy it

- To make amend about almost losing Mem in a terrosist attack he offers them a place in a theatre planned to be attacked by those same terrorists ?
- Diva get kidnapped by a 9 years old kid and everyone is fine with it ?
- Cops can't catch her ?
- Dream city folks don't know what dreams are ?
- She ran away and they just waited in the park doing nothing until she came back ?
- The folk knew she was wanted and gave her free stuff because why not ?
- Did Zack & co just waited an entire day in the theatre withoutdoing anything or anyone telling them about the commotion and the diva disappearance ?
