| I saw it yesterday in Osaka! I was actually a bit surprised honestly because it was better than I was expecting. While I don't think it's a masterpiece or anything it continually built up a nice momentum and had fun visual flair, especially in terms of editing/scene transitions, and a satisfying conclusion. I also like how they mixed in the film they're making in this anime with the real lives of the main characters. Was this done to the level of something like Millennium Actress? No, but there was still plenty of Kon-esque charm to be found, albeit in a much lighter style. No idea when it'll be available outside of Japan but I recommend it. Just go into it with an open mind and reasonable expectations and you might be surprised like I was! : ) |

There's really not too much that can be spoiled. The main plot is about Gene and Nathalie making their directorial and acting debuts in making Pompo's movie. Despite some struggles they're able to finish the film and it's a big success. Maybe one spoiler, although I'd say it's pretty obvious, could be that |
