| To beat the stronger the weaker must become a devil. Well it starts with cute Myuran and this oppai show is, No, It has neither a heart nor a heartbeat. After all it was a declaration of war and Soei had an important task. Why are goblins always having problem with sexual harassment, I don't know, It was a kind goblin after all. Kyogenshi kind of curse, idk. It was useless since they were goblins. Shion seems really good at fighting, I want to see Shuna in action but never mind. Myuran's change is very beautiful but after all Myuran is Majin but i love you Myuran, damn.. nice hug and confession. Really like that soundtrack i mean Myuran Evo scnee... Even if Myuran don't activate the barrier here, Myuran can't help because her heart is held anyway. Why are there two kekkai?what? Last scene, this is the end of Shion Nee-chan? barrier that can weaken monsters? damn  |

| Oh ho ho ho ho, Christmas came early, finally "That" is gonna happen, can't wait to see "That" animated. The peace had me craving for some action anyways. And oh yeah, no matter how cute Myulan is, I'll never forgive, she should be banned from Tempest or at least receive some kind of punishment. |

| Felt bad for the hobgoblin tbh. That Kirara's acting is awful imo but looks like the people are buying into the act. I'm glad to see Gobuta coming to the save. Screw Kirara and her bewilder ability. Myuran's scenes had its emotional impact and this arc, especially this episode. She deserves to be loved.  |

| That Myuran scene near the end was really well made and emotional,i teared up for a second. I like how Gobuta apologized first and then made a jab at Kirara's (small) body figure, that part always gets me and Gobuta is such a funny dude. Gobzo is a man of culture simping for Shion! |

| Poor Gobzo. Good thing Gobuta came to save him. What a good friend. I feel sorry for Myulan for being controlled by that demon lord. Speaking of a demon lord, Milim declared war on a Kingdom, the one Albis belongs to. Guess we'll be seeing a lot of action soon. |

| Tbh I dun care about Myulan at all, she's one of those dumb characters that are just gonna get used and then discarded. Thou damn Youm's confession was great and the OST when Myulan cast that magic barrier was lit af. Welp so Tempest is in serious trouble. They are inside dual barrier, one won't let them contact with Rimuru and the other one decreases their strength it seems. This is not looking good at all. Rimuru needs to come asap and save his kingdom. |

| Gobta my boy saved the situation again. I enjoyed the love triangle between Youm, demon Youm and Myulan way too much. But Myulan whyyyyyy... No Rimuru this episode but it was still fun as heck. He probably knows something's up with the town tho. What's Milim doing btw? |

| Milim declares war on Falmuth and Tempest is about to get invaded. Mjurran also reveals her true form! Lot's of excited events. Mjurran activated a barrier that prevents magic from being used in the city of Tempest to protect the one she loves. Coincidentally another barrier was placed over the city at the same time. What makes matters worse is Rimuru is not in the city. Wonder how the city will manage to defend themselves without their great leader. Don't think Rimuru got one second of screen time this episode (besides the opening and ending). |

| Please don't let the Youm x Myulan ship. They're perfect together. Does making the town into an anti-magic field really weaken most of the cast? Yeah sure they can't use magic, but aren't ogres physically strong? Or is the Shion's weakness because naming the monsters is considered magic itself? |

| The series is finally getting into some better story telling! So far its been building the events up but with no substance behind them I felt as thought they were falling flat and was going to be quite disappointed if it continued like that. This episode did not however disappoint and the anime has reminded me of what peak fiction story telling could be! The animations were especially good and the feels in this episode! Seems like its picking up steam, and what I've read from some of your posts, it's only going to get better from here! |

I recommend to start with the end of chapter 54 ,then read 55 and 59 (ch 56 was adapted last episode).The day of the attack is covered in ch 57&58 you can read them again or skip. |

| A lap pillow from Myulan huh lucky indeed. Still looks like Youm's feelings for her are genuine. Still she sure is in a tough spot thanks to the demon king. The beast master though sure sprung an interesting surprise on us though. The reactions of the three uber humans though sure was interesting in that the first thing they had was envy at how developed Tempest was. Kirara's attempt to cause trouble sure backfired badly on her. Shuna and Shion's confrontation with the three was fun especially Shuna's quick dispel of Kirara's spell. Still the trump card that Myulan proved to be sure proved to be a true game changer in this yet undeclared war. Given the odds arrayed against them and fighting a soon to be a two front war things looks bad for tempest. Hopefully Rimuru and his team get back soon to tear these jerks a new one. Overall an interesting ep that did well to not only reveal Myulan's part in the plan dramatically but also expand upon the three uber humans that arrived in this world first. |

| Mjurran was so cute, I liked her character as well. Gobuta saved his friend from false accusation and changed the mood of people around them in an instant. He confessed in front of the guy who just got friendzoned lmao. |

| Jesus, those three pieces of shit couldn't be more unlikeable, hateable and annoying. Thank God Gobta (THE GOAT) was there to save the day and then Shuna to finish destroying the bitch. Then you have Milim who... I can't imagine her doing that. Come on, somebody had to have tricked her. I know Myulan is doing it to protect Youm but Myulan nooooooo, this doesn't look good for our guys. Her majin form is super hot though, damn. |
| So after covering the parts that were skipped in Season 1, we are finally getting into Volume 5 content. The outworlders make their way to Tempest city and tried to start something with the goblins. However the situation was resolved by Shuna and Gobta. Other the other hand Myulan was tasked with releasing the anit-magic barrier, but her cover was blown and she reveled herself as a Majin in her true from. In a last ditch effort to protect herself and the people she loves, she releases the barrier to weaken the Kaijin and cut off communications while the Falmuth army outside Tempest city released a prison barrier so that no one can get in or get out. |

the Youm x Myulan shipping is strong |
| Although there is barely any development of a relationship between Youm and Myulan, I love their typical chemistry. Nothing much to say, this episode actually felt a lot more focussed, and I am expecting hell to await Tempest. Please something, happen! Youm was talking about the fact that what species one is doesn't matter, but do demon lords fall in his consideration too? They are childishly whimsical (Milim), control freaks (Clayman), scheming (Carrion) and so on. The otherworlders are vain and it is interesting they got caught in this situation. Why would Carrion let his people take refuge in Tempest? Is this a test? |

| Those three otherworlders are annoying the living shit out of me and I hope they get a good beating, but with that barrier set up, that might be a tough thing to do right now. Gobta Myulan's true form is incredibly sexy and I love to see Youm confessing to her. I was honestly hoping it would make her stop what she was ordered to do, but then thinking about it, it only makes more sense that it gives her even more reason to do so. Pretty hyped for next week! |

| Man, everything really went right for this attack on Tempest. I assume it was all coordinated intentionally, but even so, it worked out extremely well. Myulan and Youm sure fell in love quickly after being together for only a few episodes. And I don’t know why it focused on her releasing her beam in silence for so long. Was it to pad time? It was really awkward. |
| The 3 otherworlders didn't waste time in stirring up trouble, but I do have to praise Gobta for helping out Gobzo in his time of need. However, I have to give the MVP crown to Youm. Although the romance between him and Myulan has been rather short, the chemistry between the two has been really good and seeing him confess to Myulan, even after showing her true form AND hugging her as well, you have to give this guy some huge amounts of respect. Sadly, it wasn't enough to stop Myulan from following Clayman's orders of setting up a barrier that cuts off any communication outside of Tempest. To make matters worse, the bald Falmuth priest also set up his barrier at the same time as Myulan, which has had an effect on Shion as she fights one of the otherworlders. Things are getting really intense already and to add to that, Milim has declared war on Eurazania. I hope we get to know what her reasons are, but whichever way you look at it, I expect things to get even more intense in the next episode. Come back soon, Rimuru! |
| While I'm excited for what happens next, I wanna like this episode more than I do. Let's start with the positives. I like Youm and Myulan's scenes together, even during the climax where Myulan has to friendzone Grucius and try to reject Youm's declaration of love as she casts the anti-magic field. Clayman makes for a deliciously evil villain, and we thankfully don't get any "haha I was just using that stupid girl" monologues as he hastens his plans and reminds her that her life is in his hands. Just saying "poor girl" after the fact is enough. I hate the catalyst for the main conflict, but seeing Shion and Shuna effectively reveal they saw the whole thing all along as they ask the shithead human trio to leave for trying to cast subtle death spells was dope. Most importantly, I'm excited for all hell breaking loose in Tempest as Rimuru has to help Eurazania regarding their upcoming war with Milim. Unfortunately, in spite of making Myuran's arc and feelings for Youm feel a tad rushed, a lot of other moments feel really dragged out, like Myuran's big scene at the end and especially the whole false harassment accusations Kiara dealt to Gobzo which Gobta had to deal with. Honestly, while I get we're supposed to hate the human brats, fuck do they suck as characters. Was this really necessary as a catalyst for this entire conflict when they could have found any other way to get into a fight that was less dragged-out and gross? What the fuck is with Shougo's line about wanting to make Shion a sex slave who begs for mercy? We're already sold on the fact that these are shithead bratty people from Rimuru's world. This is just gaudy and unnecessary. We already have a much better one-dimensional villain this arc with Clayman. At Kyouya is less awful, as being a sort of two-faced guy who helps diffuse the other two whilst agreeing with them already makes him less insufferable and more interesting than Kiara or Shougo. For a more serious arc, the show is really resorting to some obnoxious LN pitfalls. The show is already setting aside the veneer of the charming, lighthearted, straightforward isekai with pleasant vibes (and kickass sinister moments) which made S1 and the first quarter of this season enjoyable, so it really cannot afford to keep fumbling this deathly serious arc like this. |
