| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ahh, another episode taking place on the beach again. Yuki's continuous closeness to Toru this episode draws upon her reactions although it seems to be more semi-comical this time. Interesting that Tohru meets the horse Zodiac, Rin. I think it's their first on screen encounter? Anyways, she's still one of the most mysterious characters in this series given her personality and back story. |

| I have to be honest, Rin is kinda scary. Hopefully she would get along with everyone soon. she is very mysterious and I can't wait to learn about her more. Akito is still the same and I nevertheless hate her. I Am worried about what would happen with Kyo in the next episode. |

| Not gonna lie. I am so exhausted with this episode. I mean with Rin, Kyo, Yuki, Kureno, and Akito. I can't help but keep feeling exhausted mentally and worried. I know Akito is a freaking 'female dog'. Now thanks to Yuki's help that confirms that it is a female unless the subtitles says otherwise. Kyo, my boy please be careful. Also I loved seeing Kagura. Rin being somewhat of a jerk in a certain way. Not wanted to be seen by anyone. But a lot of things have happened in this episode. It is just a lot to take in. But I can't help but feel worried. |

| Great episode! A lot of psychology and intricate buildup this episode, and thus I can’t wait for the pay-off next episode. A fair share of Tohru and Kyo and Tohru and Yuki moments this episode. Both had its moments but I reckon Tohru’s “I’ll be waiting” to Yuki takes the spotlight for me, it’s incredible how she totally nailed the words he wanted to hear most. A treat to watch Yuki become this bold but I feel like this is just some sort of flag that trouble is incoming though. Damn, him stalking though, that’s over-protective as heck now. Akito-san declaring that Kyo’s the one who’s most deluded is alarming, I hope things won’t get too messy with the summoning... Shigure-san is really turning the wheels now and his true colours slowly coming to light. Gee, it’s hard to make out what he’s trying to do. Kureno (rooster) meeting with Tohru next episode? I feel like something is going to give from the encounter. Akito-san seems awfully cautious regarding this, after all. Judging from comments above, looks like the something ‘bout to go down next week. Can’t wait! |

| The pace feels a bit slow to me, but I am interested in seeing how all this Sohma drama is about to unfold. Also, jeez Rin, if Yuki didn't react so quickly, that kick in horse form would've done some serious damage to Tohru. And Yuki still knows how to get under Kyo's skin lol. |

| Still hate Akito but Rin has finally shown up and Tohru met her. Tohru and Yuki are being weighed down by what happened at the end of the last episode. Akito worries me now because she is going after Kyo especially with calling him the most deluded. Something is about to go down and maybe Kureno will get to meet Tohru next time. I want to find out more about Rin too so we'll see. We're already at episode 9 next week. |

| Seems like Kagura's mother is the only parent of the Zodiac who actually calls out Akito's violent tendencies. Kisa's mom might have said it but we never got to see her talk about Akito, only react to Kisa being hit. Kyo making sandcastles with Torhu was fun. Wish we got to see Hattori hanging out with the group. Rin is being a selfish, brooding ass, and a quite violent one at that. Nearly killed Torhu by kicking her in the head. Just missing Kagura, Ayame, and Ritsu, and then everyone will be gathered. Doesn't seem like they'll come, though. |
| I swear to God, if she does anything to Kyo I'm gonna scream! God, next week's ep is gonna be painful isn't it? I don't think I've ever hated a character so much in all my life; Akito appears on screen and I'm instantly fuming! Rin seems like an interesting character; I'm guessing that way of dealing with the crappy life she's lived so far as a Zodiac Spirit is to be angry and aggressive. I'm not gonna lie, that's probably the way I'd deal with it. I can't deal with the anxiety this anime is giving me... I'm caving; I'm gonna read the manga! |

| Chapters 60 and 61 were adapted with this latest episode. Beyond some small changes and a few removed lines, not much got changed or shuffled around. Here were the changes I noticed in this episode: -The opening narration for Chapter 60 accompanied by a shot of Yuki and Tohru at the beachside was removed for the anime. -While Isuzu was walking about, some bypassers had noticed her walking through in the manga. -While Tohru thought about she and Kyo having things they didn’t want the other to know about, Isuzu was shown approaching the summer house in the manga. -More of Isuzu’s naked body was shown after she transformed back into human form in the manga. -Tohru was still in the woods in the manga following her conversation with Yuki when reflecting on her meeting with Isuzu, as well as trying to figure out what to prepare for dinner. -When Akito seen Hatori and Shigure to demand them to bring Kyo in, Hatori was smoking a cigarette during the scene in the manga. |

| This episode adapted chapters 60-61. So Tooru finally meets Rin. Now only Kureno is left. I'm glad that Kagura was mad at Shigure for telling Akito to go where Tooru and the others are. He deserves a strong punch/kick for doing it. Liked the Kyou-Tooru moments. <3 In the manga Rin said to Kagura: "Don't you want to quit your unrequited love? It looks painful." I wonder which translation is more accurate, HorribleSubs or manga? I like the manga translation more. Also in the manga Yuki thought after meeting Rin: "She's quite the girl for being able to threaten and lecture me while naked." I like the manga translation more. Anyway, next episode Kyou gets to meet Akito and of course that means trouble. Can't wait to see those 2 chapters animated. <3 |

| Another great episode! We got to see more of Rin and in her horse form! And Tohru finally got to meet her and she just needs to find the final zodiac! And the ending for this episode is tense! Can't wait for next episode! |

| "I'm kind-hearted"- Akito. If that isn't the biggest load of bullshit ever, I don't know what is!! The irony that Akito calls Kyo the most deluded of them all.. Intense episode! So much happened, Tohru's encounter with Rin, the Horse Zodiac was surprising. Yuki was pretty sharp there preventing Rin from kicking Tohru's head. Also that Boldness from Yuki so suddenly! A storm is indeed coming and I can't wait to see what is coming next week, some comments above makes me really hyped!! |

| Funny for Akito to call someone else a monster. "Funny" and aggravating to be honest. He really is summoning them every day so that Tooru will be left behind by herself too, and it's so petty. And now that he knows that Tooru and Kyou are happy enjoying each other's company, he decided to summon Kyou as well. Here's hoping he can stand as strong as Yuki. Talking about Yuki, I really like the way he is acting. He feels reliable, and you feel like believing him when he says that he isn't going to lose. Here's hoping he can keep on believing that there's light while facing his abuser. As for Rin, I don't like the way she tried to bring Yuki down by calling him "Akito's toy" or the way she really tried to kick Tooru as a horse. It seems like the interactions with her are going to be difficult for a while. And Haru! He had to spend the day with Akito, who seems to think that he is nothing but his personal laughingstock, but then he managed to make Yuki laugh too, and it was totally different, and I liked it. What he said almost made Akito introduce Kureno to Tooru too, but it also gave him a chance to say something hurtful to Kureno, saying that he isn't as "proper" as the others. It might be a little late to say this, but Akito really seems to enjoy hurting them. |

| Well, now everyone's at the vacation house, and of course, keeping the distance between Tohru and Akito whilst the Soma members all are called to the manipulative and abusive head honcho. At least for Yuki, who seems like he's overcome the trauma of his past, and yearning more considerably towards Tohru. Man, after the confession last episode, he's getting more bolder, you go man! And that leaves one more person who hasn't met Tohru yet (Kureno), and the psychological battles keep coming. Oh man Akito, telling Kureno "to act like a zodiac member"...who is she to command him, and where does he lie in the lineage? Maybe the only one left (Rooster)? To label Tohru "an ugly girl" and a "monster", yeah sure, it shows how misguided and unconnected that she's the 3rd party, but enough to disrupt the many abusive connections towards the Somas. And finally, Rin shows her true colours to Tohru, even with the eventual reveal of being the Horse. Man, trying to kick Tohru was just the "kicker" into her already mentally scarred life. She's definitely someone that only Yuki can tame. HOO BOY, the Cat boy Kyou finally got called by Akito...will he follow Yuki's advice or just go his rampant way? Kinda excited but fearful for the next episode. Quite an intriguing episode that explores deeper into the Soma mix. Things from here out are not gonna go any better... |

| This is one of my favorite episodes so far. I know something is about to happen. I haven't read the manga but I've read multiple spoilers online but nothing specific about each arc, just who ends up with who. I'm so fucking pissed at Akito, she's treating them like her personal harem. Honestly, I don't care what happens to her. She'll deserve it, no matter what. |

| This felt like quite an intense episode. There's this mysterious, foreboding mood going around. So many secrets and whispers lurking around. Akito as mysterious as always and now with Kureno, Shigure's plotting, Yuki's mysterious attitude, Rin coming. Glad to see it seems Kagura's family is also okay. That was her mother right? That was a jerk move, though, from Rin. In her horse form, she tried to kick Tohru. That could've well killed her. I was so taken aback by that scene. (though I have to say Rin is hot lol) Quite the cliffhanger this episode. Quite a nervous week coming as we wait for next week's episode. Akito's summoning Kyo, and what will Rin do? |

| Akito came across as quite rude in this episode. Overall the best of the season so far though, in my view, and last week's itself was a rather tall order to top. I only expect it to get better as well the deeper we get into the story. It's exciting for me, who only came into anime a few years ago, don't watch most seasonals, and haven't watched any longer seasonal in "real time" to see a show like this week to week as it's currently airing. I like how it still has its SoL relaxing beats and non-frantic pacing but yet the more and more zodiac members from within the family are gathered together within one place the more chance of surprise and meaningful interactions compounds each episode. There's a very palpable but subdued tension brewing in the background and underlying this whole family structure. Shigure is a troll defined though. And it's pretty amusing to see him light fires and then observe from the outside while things are burning with a smirk on his face. Someone like this can be genuinely warm, kind, and paternal and yet still a mischievous bastard at heart waiting to break free. More grey or complicated characters are welcome always. I don't outright dislike anyone (no, not even Akito) as of yet, but Kyo's justified in stating that Yuki is often arrogant as hell, regardless of the reasons, and it's a bit of a turn-off whenever he shows that side. |

That's what I thought when Kagura's mom mentioned not wanting Kagura to be hurt by Akito. I also thought it when I read your comment about Rin. I was starting to think I imagined her trying to kick Tohru in the head in her horse form. She's a nasty piece of work. I had enough of her when she came on to Shigure. FB also puts me on an emotionally rollercoaster. I downloaded the manga back in 98 or '99 (whenever the original came out) and I still haven't read it. I need to be somewhere soft and away from sharp objects. I, too, have never hated a character as much as I hate Akito, henceforth known as It. I thought It was a woman with a man's name for awhile (including the original series), but at some point we're told It's a he...I think. I loathe It. I keep hoping it gets killed. I have fantasies of Hatori killing It or there being multiple murders. |
