Ah that painting...

I kinda did like how they managed to make for the time they had in the end for this show. It's short but hey, there's character emotions that flowed in the finale.

eh, that's it? i guess, we got the tomodachi ending
can't really say this worked great as a commercial for Kumamoto. sure, they showed few people and landmarks, but that didn't really ignite any interest in me to travel there

for a 30 minute show they could've done better than that

Cool and emotional ending but the whole anime felt like a bit useless 5/10

To think that the final episode would drop the ball this hard with the typical reconciliation friendship cliche, I guess I had decent expectations, but this ending was haphazard to say the least.

In the end, an anime used to promote the Kumamoto prefecture despite the 2016 earthquake, but even that promise didn't live up to expectations. Didn't spite my senses to WANT to go to Kumamoto either.

The ED songs are the only decent things about this show. A wasted opportunity of a state-made anime. 5/10

The series was not as good as I expected but the ending was precious.
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.

good thing i put it on hold after episode 2, watching it all in a row was a lot better than watching it weekly

my opinion on episode 2 didn't change , even if they had a reason, staying out of communication for more than 4 years and then suddenly talking for a minute and ofc the game closes at that exact time (specially without warning, seriously???? i swear any game i played gave us a month notice to spend whatever resources you had in game or read the story one last time lol)

anyway after watching it all today, i found it to be a lot better than i was expecting, but again the story didn't make much sense...so while i kinda enjoyed it, i will only give it a 5/10

So 12 episodes for a sad girl to say don't be a sad to another sad girl, in a very melodramatic way, and then they act as if everything is ok after that.

What a wast of not so much time.

So this was kind of a commercial for Kumamoto huh. Oh well okayish show but the finale was touching. Glad to see Natsuna and Itsuki together.

I kept watching for the designs and the art, but otherwise this was very forgettable. Not the best tourism commercial I've ever seen.

At least the suddenly talking again didn't come out of nowhere. At one point they talked about how Natsuna wants to move out of the family to live alone, and Itsuki ended up saying she should come to live with her after she graduates from university.

Also the ending without sudden notice could very well be because Natsuna was no longer playing the game so if they announced it she wasn't aware.

I enjoyed this show, perhaps it did have the potential to be a lot better than it did... it was still an enjoyable watch overall.

Really loved the art style and the setting overall. Story was a bit lacking as others mentioned, but I did want to keep watching for whatever reason.

That was a good commercial for Kumamoto.

I really liked the artstyle tho and the landscapes were visually pleasing.

Glad I put this on hold early into the season, this was a fun and short binge experience!

Natsuna was an interesting main character to keep up with and the supporting cast, as in the family and the police officer in particular, really nice too.

Earthquakes bring nothing but trouble, so it's nice to see the two reuniting. Itsuki must've gone through a lot after all.

I was expecting a bittersweet ending in all honesty. Would've suited the narrative approach better too I reckon but this was a really sweet CM nonetheless. Definitely going to be missing that ED too...

And lastly, thank you Kumamoto Prefecture and I wish you all the very best! I sincerely hope that I'll manage to get the opportunity to visit the place one day.

Itsuki ignoring everything and crying with her? Lmao what a shithole of an ending. 1/10 easily.

Looks like I'm the only person who liked it. However ridiculous the story is, I think it has a nice uplifting vibe, and ED songs are easily the strongest point.

Simple yet pleasant.

Some characters appearing in the ending of each episode we never came to know who they are. By the way, beautiful ending songs.

I don't know why such a low average score.

This was pretty drastically different from my original expectations based on this article.
https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2019-11-17/kumamoto-prefecture-produces-natsunagu-tv-anime-for-january-2020/.153378

I guess it's nice that the prefectural government allowed the writer(s) to at least try to focus on the characters - perhaps with the motive of pushing the suggestion that "Our locals will go far out of their way to help you, the visiting stranger, for nothing in return." But normally, when I watch a tourism promotion anime, I expect to visit and learn about various sights and locations in the area. I feel like there was barely any of that, just a few landscape shots and glimpses of filtered photos of important buildings.

Also, the poster clearly advertises Natsuna as a meganekko, but in the show she, what, briefly wore glasses in the first episode and then kept them off for the rest of the series? WTF

I read your whole review before I started watching the show a few days ago. You make some good points, but
I have a feeling we'll be getting a sequel which in all honestly, I would like to be part of the staff so I can get the chance to write the story and with that in mind, kill Natsuna near the ending. Ah yeah, that's so spicey.

Pretty cute series, some good people Natsuna met over the course of her short journey

Loved the unique flat animation really fitted the narrative

I didn't convey any emotion to me but at the same time i kinda like the art.

I don't get it. Why did Itsuki lie? I thought real Itsuki died or something. This has no any sense.
Direction is cool and considering obvious low budget the visuals are not so bad, but this ending is boring and confusing.

Perhaps not so much a tourism anime but, to me, more of a "We're getting back on our feet, thank-you for your support, and don't be a stranger." anime. I particularly enjoyed listening to the Kumamoto "namari", way of speaking.
