Whoa, was that tears I see in Godot's eyes?

This case came to a close but not without a lot of emotions in that courtroom. Quite frankly and compared to the other cases in this season, it may be the most emotional one yet. Idk, I'm probably going to rate this season similar to the preivous one.

Oh and that Ace Attorney trilogy game is coming this year!

Starts and secretary girl seems to know that third person that wanting to protect.

Something that can be seen in darkness. Red light, huh. Like the dying message.

The opponent's weakness, he cannot see red in white.

After that lady's first case, they tried their best to search further. And he was poisoned by that bright hair lady, which caused change in color and blindness.

He admitted he was involved, only helped not let mother to call out soul but failed, so not know who did it.

Main guy trying to say the blood on the knife is the real criminal, which is opponent's. lol @ his faces when being damaged by his assistant.

The scar is behind the mask? He admit he attacked the lady in mother's form (trying to protect assistant girl). He also admit about who he really blames for lawyer lady's death is himself and put that guilt to main guy.

They actually only met twice? So the other times he met was her twin sister... and she's the one who gave him that knit.

Both his friends (and the police) are glad. The female opponent also brought the cousin girl.

His court life continues as his opponent is his friend (?).

Also showing mother cherishing her daughters, as inside that red pendant thing there's a photo of young sisters.

FINALLY! I've been waiting! Fragrance of Dark Coffee!!

Can't really say they used it to great effect, at least they friggin' included the track. Quite a lot of OST from the game in this episode.

They sort of cut short on Maya's part, it should've been Maya talking in a daze and filled with holes, with Phoenix slowly peeling them off and causing her to gradually breakdown trying to save Godot. Here the "he" word was quickly thrown in right at the first minute, which is pretty lame and lacking buildup. Would prefer if they lengthen this part and shorten the ending a little.

Most of the lines in game are faithfully repeated especially in this episode, probably the best part of this entire show overall.

6/10, just 1 point higher than the score I gave the previous season, can't really say the show makes a good adaptation to the screen, but oh well, at least we get an adaptation.

No announcement whatsoever after the credits. I wonder if we will be getting a movie on the case Rise from the Ashes, or Apollo Justice. Somehow I believe AJ would make a better adaptation because of his bracelet (which translate better to TV as compared to the magatama's psyche locks).

Man that was good.
Finally we hear Fragrance of Dark Coffee in the show!

I could really do with an OVA/movie (The case was certainly long enough) of Rise from the Ashes next..

I got to say this was a nice run for the time being. TO think I would be part of it from the very beginning to the end. There were some moments that I was annoyed but this episode made me cherish too many moments on nostalgia I like to look back on. It has been a fun time.

I'm giving it an 8/10 since they really did the last case almost perfectly. This episode was a little rushed, but otherwise it was really nice.

Sad the psyche locks couldn't be used, making the anime feel a little bit rushed overall. I'm pretty much basing my score on the last case because that was my favorite one in the game. Favorite case in favorite game adapted decently made this whole season for me. So happy I got to see it once again.

I really want to play the trilogy again now, might pick it up on Switch when it goes on discount, as I never actually purchased Justice for All (my least favorite of the three but still).

I think I'd rather them go Investigations next and then do Apollo Justice. But they really need to do Rise from the Ashes so Emma gets properly introduced.

Amazing finale, this arc delivers such a punch at the end with Godot's feelings and the reality that Phoenix's romance was indeed one where both loved each other.

8.5/10 from my part, what a great sequel! Please please me don't let it stop here, Apollo Justice next or riot!

Train arc was my favorite this season and the backstory three friends arc as well (or was that s1?) in any case definitely preferred this over s1. OP and ED music was hot this season as well.

I really enjoyed this season even though I was surprised we got another one! Thus the Trilogy concludes and now we can hope Apollo Justice gets adapted as well!
Trying to watch all available anime series so you won't have to anymore, the list of anime I can recommend is still in progress, tho

It was beautiful, so emotional! That's a wonderful way to end this season.

I hope the 3 sequels will be adapted too, it's ok if they don't do it because ending with this is perfect but I wouldn't mind at all!

I just marathoned the last 5 episodes in a row.

Great end to the season. I loved the inclusion of Fragrance of Dark Coffee in the finale.

The season was a pretty good adaptation on the whole. Animation wasn't as bad as season 1, and I liked the few little anime-original arcs they included. I do hope they eventually adapt the other games in the series... :)

...I'll admit that there was only one moment, just one that I wanted to see faithfully adapted into the anime. Sure they got the animation part down, but there was no reason for them not to use the original 'Cornered' theme when Godot was exposed. That one singular moment is arguably the best of the trilogy and seeing it like that is...well I suppose par for the course with the AA anime.

This level of disappointment is on par with Clannad AS in terms of music choice. Especially since they were already using game music!

Oh no, did they seriously leave out the reveal that Iris was the girl Phoenix was with in college? That she was pretending to be Dahlia because she couldn't be arsed to hang around him herself? That his first love was pure after all?

But that's the bit that allows Phoenix to finally put that part of his past to rest. :(

They included it tho? Iris herself told Phoenix the truth right in the court

Yeah, the "Feenie" part is a very faithful replication from the game, I liked it very much. That is the huge reveal, you can't miss it.

Well damn, I must have blinked for a solid minute or so. It's been a while since I played the game, I thought it was part of the epilogue after the sentencing. :/

Really great second season, I really love how good they adapted the game, the quirks of the characters, the flow and the cases! Really loved it and it was an especially lovely ending just like in the game!

Quite enjoyed watching this second season and would actually love the side story of Edgeworth as well and even the sequels to this main story!

It sure would make a nice follow up if you ask me.

All in all a great watch!

Damn, not sure if I repressed the feelings when I played the game-- but this case was kind of hazy on the details, so I was on the roller coaster from the very top. I remember being stuck grilling Bikini in the game, but oml.. my heart hurts. This finale was such a pleasant wrap up and made up for a lot of the miscomings from this season. Glad Godot could see Mia again. Also that we got the Fragrance of Coffee and doused Phoenix scene.

Yes!! they finally play Godot theme at the end, and the tears of blood were here too, that adaptation for the finale case was really good to be honest, for the other ones in this season it's like the first one really lame compared to the game but well thanks to this case this season clearly felt better than the first one, it was pretty good.

Definetely better than s1. Also please stop comparing anime with their particular source, especially anime that came from game like this because it's very hard to perfectly replicate gaming experience into something watchable in other medium (anime).

Generally speaking, source material is always better than anything

I had, and still have, many reservations with the first season of Ace Attorney, and some of those concerns still persists in this second season.

I dislike adhering too closely to the game's aesthetics, as while seeing references every now and then is nice, the static motions, clearly sprite-like character shots out of a visual novel, and the blatant callbacks to specific parts of the game made me feel like just playing the game, rather than watching the anime. For the anime, I would have liked it to be more free and animated, much like the train arc or the standalone episode with Pearl's seashell.

Another issue I had were the shortened arcs. Understandably, the entirety of the games can't be translated into animated form, so certain cuts were needed to fit storyboards and episode lengths. However, I didn't like the occasional sudden leaps of logic, where characters would blurt out answers to questions unprompted, or Wright immediately figuring things out without a second thought. It's possible that some of these actually happened in the original games, but it's certainly more apparent here.

That being said, I did enjoy this season much more than the previous one. It helps that Trials and Tribulations was given an entire season to itself, while both the first game and Justice for All were crammed together. The pacing felt better, all of Wright's discoveries were given more time to come about, there much more moments of reflection and contemplation, and there were more attempts to make the anime actually an anime, and not just a direct duplication of the game.

It's still goofy as all hell, but for what it's worth, I'm glad I finished the animated series. It's been nearly two decades since I finished the original trilogy, so it's wild coming back to see this all animated. What a ride.

Damn, I agree with most of you, this final trial really improved, unfortunately they just catch up with the adaptation Ace Attorney deserved the most at the end... anyway, I still think the adaptation of both seasons is good, but definitely for the best experience, PLAY THE GAMES, I don't think they'd adapt Apollo Justice (I hope I'm wrong), I'm currently playing Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth, but heck maybe I'll revisit Apollo Justice in the meantime, so if an adaptation ever comes I'll have the events more fresh.

There are 3 more games of ace attorney so there's enough source materials for another 24 episode 3rd season...
Please make it happen.. This is a popular game and also popular as anime, I don't know why the producers are being so hesitant to greenlight a 3rd season..
We want to see naruhodo kun solves more cases like the scenes from the games..
