He's still one of the toughest competitors from this series imo. Makoto reconnects with others and I think it's nice to that is able to deal with the competitive atmosphere of the championship matches. Then, there's also Haru who continues to try and improve himself. So much hope this episode. |

| The guy who does coach meeting the girl, who explained the situation. So he knows why main guy lost. Mamo's character meeting up with Hosoya-san's character, whose surgery was successful. Both guys who does coaching meet up and talks about main guy. Yonaga-san's character and Hirakawa-san's character entered national. Shark high also has good news. High schoolers talking about how to call them. Mamo's character and the guy who does coach meets up in aquarium. After hearing about what happened, Mamo's character is worried about him. Main guy is with his coach and tries his best to practice. Mamo's character meets his coach, who is also his coach's rival. Main guy doesn't understand what his coach describes, but understood immediately when it's described in his favorite fish. Mamo's character always wants to swim against main guy. The coach's feeling about coaching main guy. He's first one he thought someone he wants to coach. Looking after the kid he coaches, who swims against his rival. He lost to his rival, but he had fun. He understood what the guy does coach about rivals can "support" each other. He decided to be an official worldly coach. High school team arriving in Tokyo next. Two more eps. but it doesn't seems to end in 1 cours. |

| now this was actually a good episode, sucks that it couldn't have been like this from the start. maybe i'm biased because i love rin and he FINALLY appears more than like 1 sec lol... but seeing the iwatobi swim club and makoto + misakis scenes were really nice. makoto really is the perfect coach! |

| Pretty average-ish episode but I think it does just enough to set the base for which the last couple of episodes will feature. Albert Wahlander(or however it’s spelled) sure was a beast, and Haru’s take on all of this was a good change. Especially loved how Makoto managed to brief Haru regarding his Coach’s intentions. Also, we got to see a bit of the story and perspective from the Coach which was a nice addition. On another note, Makoto finally deciding on a field is pleasing to see but I thought it might have been a little overdone(thrice or so now, if I’m not mistaken!). Moreover, we got some glorious art from KyoAni during the kid’s matchup and that sure was mesmerising! Rin is back and the others to join too soon, I’m curious to see what’s in store for us in these final two episodes. |

| I'm glad that Makoto is sure of his vocation now, he was always my favorite character, so I'm really satisfied with this development. Definitely my highlight in this episode. |

| RINHARU REUNION even if it was short and nothing intense Rin seemed like he was pretty happy about talking to Haru again and also telling him how he still wants to swim with him, aaa why cant there be more episodes? I really want them to go pro together and see their developements together. Kyoani please hire me Also when Rin heard from Makoto that Haru lost against Albert he was like "we gotta go see Haru" so typical Rin, always worries about Haru ;; Anyways, Rin was so cute when Sousuke told him that the surgery went fine, his little blush and that he is always such a cry baby made me screech lol UGH HARU THO, seeing him so fired up after losing to mr. Swedish guy Albert and how he didnt even want to pay attention to what Ryuji said to him was a new experience for me, however Makoto fixed Haru when he helped him understand what Ryuji actually was talking about haha ALSO YAY, GO REI GO REI. I am excited to see Iwatobi etc go to Tokyo now!! (just wondering how tf they are gonna wrap this season up in two weeks though lol.. *sweats*) |

| I'm glad for Rei for making it to the nationals, congratulations. As for Haru I guess it was too early for him to take on a world class swimmer, but I believe in Azuma. As for Makoto, its too bad we won't see him swim again, I think he's following his calling to be a trainer. I always knew he had that supporting or molding persona in him, good luck to him. |

| Because of this episode, we know Makoto can give massages, which is extremely important information. It's nice they're considering aspects of sport other than just competing, as Mako is definitely more suited to coaching and supporting others. Shark Boi Rin is still a cutie and Haru being pissed after losing was a nice change in his character. |

| The characters, that I had loved in season 1, are getting so detestable! Haru was in second place!! Seriously! Accept it! These boys just don't tan at all, do they? The characters' shoulders are getting too wide. It's awkward! |

| The pacing is so messy now, the first half was slow and now they're going to cram both All Japan and high school tournaments in the last 2 episodes or what? It's still nice to see all the character developement and those precious interactions, but it's the worst season of Free! so far. |

| Oh my gosh, I feel like they didn't know what the heck to fill another season of swimming boys, so they started recycling the storylines we've seen before (childhood promises/dreams/disappointments) AND adding new useless characters you won't remember after two days xD Like, who the hell cares for some random BOI and his boring backstory?? Two more episodes to go, sigh... And wtf Haru, not picking up a phone for over two weeks?! My family and friends would kill me if I ever did that, don't be such an asshole lol. |

| Although I'm not enjoying the direction and pacing of these episodes, I'm really glad Makoto could finally find his profession. On the other hand, I'm a bit disappointed about how they handled Sousuke's issue with his injury. I thought they would give more insight into that since his future was an important aspect in the previous season but well. OK episode overall. |

| It was pleasant to see Makoto confident about training to be a coach! He was great at giving Misaki mental support before the little guy raced against Natsume :)) I love that winning and losing aren't necessarily the priority, but it's about the pair enjoying a match again <33 It was nostalgic as Makoto gave his mental support to Misaki, by recalling the days when Rin was very determined to beat Haru someday; the days in middle school when Ikuya and Haru promised to swim together, but then they parted ways... It's true that unresolved moments can be resolved once friends swim together. It was great to hear that Sousuke's shoulder surgery was successful! And let's hope Sousuke does wear Rin's pink t-shirt souvenir xDD And it was nice to give more backstory to Azuma. His mental state really affected his swimming performance when he used to compete professionally. But he didn't want to leave the world of swimming completely, and I think training swimmers really suits him! Maybe Haru will reach a point in his career that Azuma hasn't reached :-) It's great to know that our high-schoolers are in the national match! It'll be fun to see an Iwatobi and Samezuka reunion ^^ It was also really relaxing to see Makoto and Rin hang out at an aquarium! I like seeing the two friends enjoy each other's company :) Rin's assertive personality when he decided to see Haru, after Makoto shared that Haru hasn't replied to messages in two weeks... Love that we could see all three characters' personalities and how they approach situations. It's a pleasant development for Rin, compared to season 1 when he was in a more self-isolated state of mind. I want to see Mikhail and Azuma reunite! It'll be interesting for the two coaches who were once rivals, and now their students are rivals! :) |

| ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I really enjoyed getting to see more of Mako and his coaching work in this episode! It was great to see his face when he realized what he wants to do with his life, and for that I am happy for him. 😊 I especially appreciated how the episode featured him pondering what he wants to do with his life, and how the season as a whole showcased his journey towards that realization. I'm going through a similar thing at the moment, trying to determine what I specifically want to do with my life in a broad area of work, so it's nice seeing that it's possible that I will have a realization similar to that of Mako's over time, too. 🤗 Also - this goes back to the previous episode a bit, but I found it quite amusing how the opening made Albert seem like an incredibly scary guy, but really he's such a sweetheart! 🥺 I'd say the only scary thing about him is his swimming ability, lol. I'm looking forward to seeing if Haru will surpass him! |
