Dang, this series knows how to sell its plot with food in it lol

Curry and shaved ice from the same episode. Lol, Poporon's role this episode made facepalm a bit. I hope Jashin is more careful when cooking in the future so she doesn't accidentally start spells.

this episode having Jashin not being complete trash 2/3 of the time is actually a breathe of fresh air
like seriously, her punishment in the first segment is not her fault for once

and alot of animes (and video games) sure loves to portray angels as complete assholes (except for Pekora)

Well, that angel is dead.

Also, this series is way funnier then it has any right to be.

So did anybody get the reference at 13.15 (the supposedly obscure one) I am really curious about it and would like to understand it.

It's a follow up VA joke since the snow demons are named Yusa and Kouji (jashin named her that in a previous ep) after the VA that's voicing the baphomet demon.
Jashin says she'll change her name to Mimori which makes it Mimori Yusa a Japanese singer.

For once it wasn't Jashin's fault, Yurine :/

It was an ok episode. Not as funny as the previous one but it was still good.

It was also nice to see Jashin-chan being kinda friendly with poor Pekora for once.

Another episode that was a lot of fun. I was glad to see that Pekora had better luck than usual and that Jashin-Chan was more or less behaving herself. Yuri really needs some help with her anger management problem. I loved seeing the 3 demon girls as children, and Minos beaming with pride when she learns how she will develop.

We've made it to the midway point and I look forward to the second half of the season.

I think my favourite thing about this anime is how much it likes to break the 4th wall. It's by no means a great show but damn is it entertaining as hell.

As long as they don't shift gears and take itself too seriously, like freaking Renai Boukun, I think it could turn out to be a decent little show. ^_^

Can't believe Jashin-chan is actually not a dickhead for once.
The amount of curry in the episode made me hungry even though I was eating while watching it.
Seems like the anime is following in on the footsteps of Gabriel DropOut by making angels assholes.

What are they referencing here, btw? So far, the anime has impressed me by how smart some of its fourth-wall-breaking jokes are so I guess this reference is really obscure.

Read the above posts, my friend. I also don't get the reference but found my answer right there.

Other than that, this show's doing great. We see some character development (?) from Jashin-chan although I don't hate asshole-chan from previous episodes either. Looks like they toned down bludgeoning for whatever reason and I kinda miss that. That's what make this show different from Gabriel Dropout and KobaMaid.

HAHA!! Jashin is becoming more subservient to Yurine as she learns what lines not to cross (even though the line seems to change pretty easily).

If you mean Jashin's increasing fear of Yurine then yeah there is some character development XD

Btw, Ive been wondering for a while now but how is this similar to Gabriel Dropout and Maid Dragon? If anything I'd say it's more similar to shows like "Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro Chan" and "MM!"

Well, people are sensitive to similar names (Dropout and Dropkick) even though their meanings are entirely different. And I get the impression that the author of Jashin-chan did this on purpose too. I won't be surprised if there will be more anime with a name like "Lucifer-chan Suplex Hold" or something like that.

In terms of similarity, those 3 shows are the recent ones with bizarre daily lives of angels, devils and mythical beings in modern Japan with no male lead. Maybe that's why we group them together. With your logic, anime like Monster Musume, Demi-chan or even Dai Mahou Touge will fall into the same category. It's sad but there's no such thing as original idea in anime industry anymore in this day and age, considering the current isekai trend.

Well in terms of naming scheme and demon/angel interaction you do make a good point but I fail to see any similarities with maid dragon even if there are supernatural/mythical creatures or if it's recent.
My Logic? as far as I can tell those anime (at least the first two, never seen Dai Mahou Touge before) are nowhere near similar.

Did you mean the author of gabriel ?
Coz jashinchan is made first since april 2012 and now already have 10 tankoubon. While gabriel is made since dec 2013 and now only have 6 tankoubon.

I see. My mistake. You mean the manga, right? I don't follow the source material of those two so I thought for sure that Gabriel came out first since its anime aired in 2017.

This is my first time posting on myanimelist and I have to say this episode was good and annoying at the same time. Majority of the episode was good but I hate punishing Jashin-chan for no reason. I know she's a jerk but the first one wasn't even her fault, totally uncalled for. The bit with the shaved ice was her fault but that punishment was too over the top. It was a fucking rape joke. Favorite part was the last bit, it was sweet.

The comedy now goes great and the narration is very pleasant to follow. Episode that lets you look without problems only that focuses too much on Pekora, Jashin and Yurine, leaving out always Minos and Medusa, especially the first.

Another great episode, the part with kid Jashin was really cool.
She is trying too hard to sell shaved ice haha.
And like always poor Pekora, she's probably my favorite characters from this anime for the moment.

there is absolutely nothing good about this show. there is three okay-goodish characters but even they are hard to enjoy because they have to constantly deal with jashin. i now see again why i dropped this on ep6 when i originally tried to watch this. ill go for one more episode but if its worse than this episode im ending it there for good and im never giving this show another chance

What is this Jashin-chan redemption arc? First the moment with Medusa in episode 4 and now this development with Pekora. I'm enjoying the show way more now than when Jashin-chan was just an absolute bastard
