| Seems like the episode manga readers like to hate on, lol. Although it adapted 5 and a half chapters, the episode holds its own. Since the episode only cuts out certain part and not rushes them, from an anime-only's perspective, the episode seems perfectly fine. If anything, it would feel above average, since the directing for the episode was at its best. When Bansai got shot and how his headphones and glasses came off, or how he slowly walked toward that door before he got blown away, stuff like that isn't presented in the manga in that manner. And Bansai looks badass af here:  The Takasugi line that was cut out was a shame, but the next episode's end bit got the point across in a more emotional way. |

| Holy shit! Bansai, Takechi along with that 2 other pirates legit died?! This is quite unexpected seeing how they have survived many similar cases before (Apart from suicide bombings) Bansai's sacrifice is greatly important here, he quite literally gives another chance to stop the laser from firing. Also, it made Takasugi super pissed so this will be epic! As for Takechi... Maybe he's still alive! Miracles may happen... *Press F To Pay Respect* F |

| I don't get why Bansai imagined Okada alongside the other Kiheitai members, he wasn't loyal to Kousuke at all lol. RIP Bansai and Takechi, along with Battou and that other guy. The world has lost a producer and a feminist. I guess the AI also died... again? Not that I really care tbh. |

| Rip Bansai. He was clutch in the Rakuyou arc and this one too. His design was also perfect. And goodbye, feminist. You had some good gags. :( Also what's interesting is that the Benizakura guy showed up as a final push. I thought it said he went missing at the end of the arc but I guess I missed the part where he died (to be fair he was pretty fucked up by the end of it) |

| Another amazing episode, even if it focused for the most part on the Kiheitai. I was waiting for Bansai to have his moment but I didn't expect this, nor did I expect Takechi and the others die like this, please tell me he didn't go away so fast. Both telling Takasugi to go and make a miracle happen was so touching! Nevertheless, the whole episode was very well-done. And the first part with Soyo and the others. It's weird for a Gintama season to be this amazing right from the beginning, if we don't count the first part of the war. |
