A great duel between Uraki and Gato and a very tense finale for the episode. Good episode.

I didn't see the final duel between the two Gundams coming this soon, but still a great ep. I wonder how they will stop the colony drop.

I liked the duel.

Although I was initially worried.
I was expecting some bullcrap tacked on threat to finish the next three episodes.

R.I.P Unit 2, Full Vernien!

Yikes, colony drop. If Luna gets destroyed then that'll hurt Anaheim?!

For a moment I was impressed, they dared to destroy the Gundams when it's not even the ending. Could they continue from there without relying on ubber mobile suits?

Nope, another unit is suddenly revealed.

La Vie En Rose, from Gundam ZZ. This show is really full of references of other series! haha

Amazgin battle between units 1 and 2.

Looks like Anaheim is f*cked up, since they're based on Luna

I'm guessing unit 3 is gonna be some awesome overpowered Gundam which they couldn't use earlier in the anime BECAUSE PLOT.

Colony Drops are always cool, one of the most unique things about Gundam.

This became slightly more interesting again

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

Amazing episode!!!

Gato vs Kou is a great battle, but i felt like it was missing that intensity feeling we tend to see during Amuro vs Char or Kamille vs Paptimus.

Still seeing Gato with a nuclear warhead kinda reminds me of Metal Gear!!

I knew the the battle was far from over, but it's a shame Gundam Mark I and Mark II got destroyed both at the same time. Kinda weird seeing Gato going towards Kou just like that. I thought he would punch him or something.

Finally Kou and Nina has reach a deeper relationship. Nina is now feeling the horrors of war and the possibility that Kou might not make it in this war.

At least Kou kissed her finally.

So there's a Mark III?!?! So what will Gato use in case Kou manages to pilot Mark III?

Can't wait for the next episode!

Man this anime definitely got dramatic in the last half of it wow

Did not expect the gundams to get destroyed with 3 episodes to go. But of course there's a unit 3 .At least by the way Nina was talking about it there's something it seems dangerous or difficult to pilot. There's also probably some overpowered Zeon suit we haven't heard of yet for Gato to use too.

Usually the 2 stars don't take each other out until the last episode...

Awe, there's a replacement Gundam3 to magically appear... that's annoying.

Any time I see a colony I think of Leopard (insert laugh here).

The close encounter when the pilots escaped from their Gundam was great.

They gave me false hope -_- The final Gundam duel conclusion was a hope to see three episodes with more interesting things.

Nina:
"why do those two have to fight?" Let's see... One of them being a incurable fanatical soldier should be enough for a reason.
"it is starting to stain on me" Yeah... how can you stay stranger to the war when you developed two war machines (one being nuclear).

The colony drop on the moon is a surprise, I suppose killing spacenoids is a way to offer them the ultimate form of freedom. -_- This admiral is totally mad. Plus it would ruin Zeon chances of restoration, Anaheim being one of their manufacturers.

4/5

edit @Sapewloth : The trend started by Zeta (of the "mid-story" upgrade) became far too essential of the franchise. I found the special coating to be a better take in 0079 (not that it's the single thing the original story did better). Plus, after Zeta, the new model (my God, each time I say those words, I hear Camille's voice saying them XC) is always a "too cool, too flashy, too strong" humongous thing.
But, hey! What are we complaining about, here? It's just one (two in this case) robot being replaced. Not four or five of them ;)
No, wait... the alternative universes are here for that. Q-Q

If I rememberright, at that time, I was not so much annoyed by our beautiful 80s blond scientist (just a few hiccups in the beginning) than by how "unaware" she was made by her creators. Lots of people will tell that she "dragged the show down" or even sank it, but they put too much on her shoulders.

Great episode, especially loved that kiss scene! Loving the slight romance development from time to time! As well as the intense action that I can't wait to see what happens next.

The most exciting thing of the narrative, improbably, is to find out everything that has happened, it's just THE prologue to something even more engaging and well thought out in terms of plot. Compelling storytelling at war level, I was taken aback by the destruction of the Gundam and the revelation of the existence of a third robot, but I figured something out of the ordinary, but it's very similar to the first unit. Well made the clash between Uraki and Gato.

I really, really thought for a moment that we wouldn't get any new massively overpowered suits/armors for the last episodes of the show, but this is Gundam after all: what did I even expect? lol

I also share your sentiment on Nina; she's a real annoyance.

Wow, just wow. That's a really devious plan and Cima is terrifying but I'm also excited to see how Unit 3 manages to stop the disaster. And also how exactly it is different from other suits.

The way Gato told Uraki he'll never forget, and all the silence surrounding their interaction. That was so intense!

The scene with a kiss was kinda nice but nah, that "One night stand" with Kelly was still more romantic.

That was a flashy battle. I wonder why Kou had no jetpack for flying, how was he supposed to be saved if not for Keith? And I was surprised that Keith and the 3 Zeon suits that came to save Gato didn't fight each other. I guess it's "dignity" or something about killing an enemy without his mobile suit as antithetical to soldier's honor (welp using a nuclear bomb is totally honorable).

We also have a kiss, a colony drop and a cartoonishly evil Cima (again). Where's the rest of the fleet? How about Axis and its fleet?

La Vie en Rose got mentioned! I remember that from Zeta.

But why drop a colony on Luna? Zeon literally has supporters there.

but those of zeon are  literally went crazy? another colony drop.
i'm a little annoyed by the reveal of unit 3, the show could've continued without an overpower gundam for 3 more episodes
