Congrats Nodame, you're not Bebe-chan anymore.

I still can't understand how Rui could look so good when her room is so horrible. I still can't stand the together, gives off the image that he's the unfaithful one for some reason.
I loved when Nodame and the gang were walking to the concert... they looked like kinda cool...

It can't be helped that Chiaki gives off the image that he's the unfaithful one. He's imagining Nodame into Rui's body, how strange is that.

Hmmm.. interesting.. At least she may be getting her shot at competitions and she doesn't know it yet... ;) As for Chiaki being the unfaithful one... I don't think Rui could even make him go to her if she tried... --- Randy

Wonderful episode! The Ravel is so pretty. I wish I was good enough at the piano to play something as difficult as that.

The preview for the next episode looks really good. I'm expecting lots of Nodame x Chiaki moments! I hope I'm not let down D:

Also, Clover subs suck :/

Ditto! It is not often when i enjoy a show that has continued for more then 26 episodes.

Does Nodame feel that betrayed that Auclair is going to see the concert too? >.> Don't exactly get that.

I feel this way at the end of nearly every episode.

I'll miss "Bebe-chan" but I'm happy she's reached another milestone. I love that Chiaki felt conflicted with working with Rui, but I don't think he'd be doing Nodame any favors by not doing his best.

This finally was an episode up to the standards of the last two seasons. It was great to see how Nodame was made so happy just by being called Megumi by Auclair. I think it's a good things Auclair had a substitute in for her though, otherwise she would have went back to being Bebe-chan again.

Although, I think after watching the past couple episodes over, while Chiaki is finally growing closer to Nodame, Nodame is starting to pull away from him. Maybe it's just that she's starting to feel that she can do things on her own finally? Or is she still feeling betrayed from when Chiaki moved out of the apartment next door.

@Helur- I believe that Nodame is feeling betrayed by Auclair, that he would attend Rui's concert, but not come to her piano lesson. And the fact that he would be giving Rui private lessons as well. It appeared to me that Nodame had no idea at all that he was doing that, and I'm thinking.

@KazeFalcon- Seriously, don't read the manga until it all finished. It will completely change your view of the series.

It was one of the lesser episodes of this season for me, without great focus or developments, but it was still an incredible one compared to 2010's standards.

@Mandralyne- The funny thing is that Auclair isn't realy giving Rui "private lessons". A few advices here and there, but mostly, Rui is just stalking him. This is more apparent in the manga, when Nodame feeling betrayed is almost hilarious (in a sort of sadistic way) because you know it's more of a misunderstanding than anything else.

I hope you didn't feel that way about the last episode - it was the best one of the season!

I really feel for Nodame. She just can't win. Rui seems to be having everything she wants even though she's trying so hard. It's easy to see why she's so down. Eventually, it's going to get to her.

this episode refers to the Opera Hen squeal, i guess 4 more episodes is okay since there will be a new season afterward (hopefully :)
I think Chiaki's imagination of Nodame into Rui only shows how strong the bond between Chiaki and Nodame has become.

Opera Chapter?! Yes please!

Really though, I may read the manga if I don't feel fulfilled with this ending. This episode was so good, I felt like they were fast tracking some developments. I thought Rui and Chiaki's concert would be the climax of the season, and it's going to be next week. With the development that Auclaire is definitely pushing Nodame towards a concour, that's the new benchmark of the series, and it makes me anticipate how Nodame is going to feel by the end of the concerto.

Also, Rui's Ravel seemed so different from Nodame's. Maybe my memory deteriorated, and I put more into it emotionally than was there, but Rui's felt more technically expressive while Nodame's felt wilder and more alive. I hope Nodame realizes this difference between the two of them if I'm right.

Wonderful episode.

Megumi!? Yeah she's not bebe-chan anymore; for some reason Prof. Auclair became serious for that thought

I like Nodame's betrayal, despair expression onto her piano playing

It's funny how every single episode just seems to fly by. I'm really enjoying this season, maybe because I missed the show that much, or because now I feel really close with all the characters. But I'm curious, and I want to know (and this goes to the manga readers) if this season is going to end like the manga does, I mean, if what we are watching now is like the last chapters of the manga, because if not, I'm definitely going to read it after this finishes.

Yes, it's going to end exactly like the manga. The person who's going to change everything for Nodame is showing up next episode, leading to the roller coaster that is the climax. The aftermath is a bit anticlimactic, which is the reason many people felt it was unsatisfying. I didn't think so myself though... it is its natural ending.

Chiaki is still a jerkface.

Though there was a great moment in this episode. When Nodame was playing the despairing Beethoven & they shown the shots of Chiaki looking saddened at his piano.

Oh no, i hope Nodame won't fall into depression again... Funny how Rui gets jealous of Nodame and Nodame of Rui, they all have their respective good points - it's much like the real world.

Love how Nodame expresses her feeling of betrayal and despair into that piece.. Now, she just have to show it to Prof Auclair!

Really hope Nodame plays that piece for Auclair before getting depressed again... Also just thought about it but how the heck do they all memorize so many peaces of music, I played trombone and euphonium for like 8 and 3 years respectively but I never once memorized an entire piece of music except for field shows which were a lot more simple to memorize than things by people like chopin and beethoven.
