| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Eh, I suppose this season didn't waste much time with the action. It looks like Shinoa is still her usual self with some of that trolling. Seems like Mitsuba's emotions are also showing a bit already so I wonder how much more of that we'll see for this season. I think Yuu's fighting skills improved as well with his control of his Cursed Gear~ Eh, I think it was an okayish return for the show, not too impressive but the action did catch more of my interest. And damn, I feel bad for Shihou this episode. |

| More summary of season 1 in the beginning. A shocking truth right from the beginning. Eh~ Nakamura-san's character "killed" Hayamin's character's sister (but not dead)? He's doing all this oni experiment because of her?? Main guy tries to find info. about human becoming vampire back to human. He didn't know two girls in his team are from somehow higher up class family... The leader family (Hayamin's character's family) tested him before questioning. They already got the two guys already. As expected, the family used the fact that he was used for some kind of experiment and wants him to join the family (so Nakamura-san's character told him beforehand not betray him). He eventually asked them to release both of them. Vampire guy got assigned for next mission? OP & ED starts next ep.? The team will be properly trained with the sword next. |

| Okay, watched the full ep. Shinoa is lol. Shinoa is so so lol. The Mahiru reveal at the start was a bit confusing. This is coming from a manga reader. The rest of the ep was okay, in terms of adaptation, but missed some good parts(as in, flashbacks and some lines). Kureto is such a dick, not gonna lie. Shinya's design is so gud, whereas I'm still not liking the one for Guren. :I Mika is killing my heart,  Ferid is a fabulous bastard per usual. Art work has improved. Well, this is just the first ep, so not much to say about that. Now to wait one more week. Next ep looks interesting. 3.5/5 Edit: ED card was nice:  |

| Yuu gets suspected for a spy and Kimizuki and Yoichi get dragged into it. It's also revealed some information about Mahiru as well. Not a particularly exciting start for the season, but it's nice to see Shinoa again. |

| As usual, the only good things about this are Shinoa and the music. Yu's starting to be to my liking a bit too. But the rest was meh... Looking forward to finally seeing Guren teaching them how to use their cursed gears already. |

I miss this show. Glad to see it back. Kureto should have asked Guren directly instead of interrogating Yuu and holding his friends hostage. And Guren's quite irresponsible. I do hope he teaches Yuu how to use his cursed gear.  So nice of Yuu trying to find a way to help Mika. And I think it's possible since Mika never drank human blood.  |

| Seems to be taking a slightly more interesting direction than the first season, what with this whole mystery about whether Yu should trust Guren or the Hiragi family; both seem to be pretty dodgy and suspicious at this point, so hopefully that'll get a pay-off of sorts at some point or other. Also, what's with Yu suddenly acting really mature most of the episode. Sure, I'm actually happy with that change compared to his usual personality, but it still felt a bit out of place and out of character for him. |

| Felt bad for Yoichi and Kimizuki this episode, getting dragged into this mess by Kureto. Overall, an ok return for this anime, I don't really have too much to say about it, but I'm actually quite interested to see how this plays out seeing as how the manga is still ongoing, so it's most likely going to be some sort of anime-original ending. HandsomeMan said: How is this rated so high... That's the sequel effect for you. Look at things like Gintama for instance, that's probably the best example of the sequel effect at work. Seriously, half of the top 10 is Gintama-related stuff. |

| Seems like Guren isn't the bad guy I thought him to be. I found it funny that Shinoa got shocked at the book Yuu was reading, proceeded to silently walk off... but then walked straight back to him. Like... what even. Pretty good start I guess. It looks like they won't be wasting any time getting to the action. Hope there won't be anymore static fighting scenes like last cour. |

| Yu seems like less of a dick in this episode lets hope it continues. Animation was an improvement but I will wait until the action starts before passing judgement. Overall a decent episode. |

| I always wonder why super average series like this always getting great art and animation. This is the best looking anime in this season for sure. (still watching it for Shinoa and beautiful art). This is 100% my definition of beauty in anime. I didn't see anything which looks better than this anime in past years. Wit studio has the best animation technique from all existing studios now (only Silverlink and KyoAni are close to them) |

| That reveal at the beginning was pretty interesting, but the way they releaved it was pretty underwhelming. I mean, exposition like this, were two people tell each other things that they already know, feels kinda awkward. And what happened to show, don't tell? To be honest I had already forgotten about it by the time the episode ended. |

That's what they get for going with someone like Sawano though, it's not like he makes any effort to try to make his stuff fit, he probably hasn't even seen the show at all. Not that I care much about this show in particular other than just checking out the Shinoa and Sakuga scenes for amusement purposes but something has gone horribly wrong if you're using a track with vocals during a dialogue intensive scene. | Interesting episode. We finally start to see Yuu's real personality like the manga. Shinoa and Shinya were flawless and I have no word for Kureto and Guren, these two, I can't wait for more! |

The art work(not the animation) is honestly still bad. It would be better if Silverlink did this, imo. |

| Decent first episode, better than I was expecting. To be honest this internal conflict within the human military/political structure interests me about ten times more than the conflict with the vampires, hopefully they continue to provide an interesting focus on it. |
| Pretty good first episode, really missed Shinoa. That torture part was hard to watch, I'm happy everything ended well. |
| first half of the episode was terrible. Dialogue's flow was spontaneous and was just all over the place. "Hiragi? You mean that high ranking family? Oh wait, I just realized, your name is Hiragi" "Oh, ha ha! You finally caught me!" The whole conversation before that was also pretty rushed. The whole interrogation thing looked really stupid and overdramatic. But at least we know a little more about Yu's past. Would have liked see a flashback scene of the orphanage experiments rather than just listening to the Hiragi guy give a short explanation. |

Hm well, it seems that people aren't aware that Sawano only made half of the OST, the other half is composed by 3 other people: Shiraishi Megumi, Tachibana Asami, and Wada Takafumi. |
