| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This episode felt kinda touching imo mostly because of the ending and way it was done. This Saya girl is the main highlight:  The series continuously shows how Tora continuously tries to save people while seeming adapting with his new lifestyle. Good action too. Nice episode! Saya also has a nice voice and I think she made a wise decision to help destroy the seal that trapped Omamori. |

Tora was willing to help w/out much complaints this time but I guess he could relate to Omamori's pain of being imprisoned for so long. Those greedy bastards though. Hope their household crumbles after this.  Sweet ending. I think Saya will have a tough time surviving on her own. Luckily she has a guardian angel youkai watching over her.  |

| I had both my middle fingers up throughout the entire episode lol....Fuck her dad, fuck her grandma and fuck her household, serves them right I really Saya, and man oh man is she and her mom very very beautiful....I'm happy that now she and the spirit will live together and grow :) Ushio is meeting all these great girls/love interests lol and I think I like her the most now |

| I'd be worried about leaving her alone with her father and grandmother after she pretty much caused the destruction of their household and stuff. Luckily she'll probably be under the protection of that.. uh... deity? youkai Zashikwarashi Ushio continues to smoothly sweep to the various girls he meets on his journey off their feet, he's pretty damn good at it I'd say. Ushio harem is strong.. he just converted a girl to Tsundere in one freaking episode ! Ushio : I wanted to see you more naked ! Saya : Ah I am so sor-- Baka ! >///< P.S : We can see Tora being jelly as he dragged Ushio right away Oh poor Tora ! :3 At this point Tora's one big fluffy-softy youkai in denial, he should be more honest with himself. I'm always left wondering whether all these characters will return, I always want them to return. I guess it means they're doing something right about them. Saya is pretty cute and pretty pretty, and as meaningless as it is, I liked her singing voice. |

If you think of this series as a "Hero's Journey", one of the features of that is the accumulation of allies along the way. So yes, many of the supporting characters who have been the subject of single episodes will have important roles to play later on. As for Saya's father and grandmother: in the manga they were even more loathsome characters, dying a pauper's death is probably too good for them. If you think about Saya's (and the line of white-haired women who were her ancestors) role as acting to be an intermediary between youkai and humans you may get an idea of some of the potential future conflicts. Although the sect his father belongs to seems to be intent on exterminating any youkai they come across, as we've seen in earlier episodes, not all youkai are active enemies of humankind. Another bit of foreshadowing we got from the head priest is that there are four other candidates to wield the spear who are wandering around. The Zashiki-warashi seemed to know quite a lot about Tora under previous name whether through her predictive abilities or because of what he did before being sealed by the spear. In any case, she also said that she owed Tora in return for his shielding her from the backlash of spiritual power from the destruction of the barrier. |

| I loved that episode from start to finish. Damn that anime is amazing. I really hated the father and the old crow. Really annoying. From the moment I saw the girl I knew that she was a Zashiki Warashi, because I've read the legends about them and how they look like. |

| Loved this episode. Usually I get irritated by this kind of episodes where's that one girl just saying I'm sorry and so on - BUT THIS wasn't bad at all. Some good animation in this episode too. Caaan't wait for next week. |

| I get annoyed when something is inconsistent with a character. ushio is compassionate, caring, and respectful. This is basing on his actions as he encounters girls, and well, now that I think about it, he only shows these characters in girls, 'cause these stories are damsel in distresses centered. Maybe to some boys, but those scenes seems endangered. Now, when he meets adults, which are portrayed as useless, usually as this goes for shows that targets kid audiences, are shown with utmost disrespect. from this little encounter, he would shout, get annoyed, and if they do something that is against his ideal, then it's auto disrespect, shout and stare. It's annoying because it is inconsistent. to judge someone fast means a character totally against what is shown to us. sigh. another dropped anime... |

He only shows disrespect if the person in question looks downright rotten (and even a blind man would see that these two were rotten to the core). Well, and to his father but that is their father&son relationship that they are BOTH comfortable with. It is also completely wrong to suggest that he distrusts adults. The most recent example was the pilot whom he trusted even though the girl condemned him to no end. Ushio keeps an open mind towards everyone but turns sour if the person in question does not seem like they deserves respect. |

| For everyone hoping that Saya returns...one of the cool things in the manga is that no one is introduced just to be thrown away...no one. But yeah, Saya is a really likable character, and goes through a transformation - starts out shy and weak-willed, but gets stronger at the end. The final scene ("Idiot") was adorable. |
