Seems like this episode had some animation issues in particular at some shots with Hiiragi :/ |

| Two new stronger officers introduced. He sort of received permission to have chance to get the sword. Vampire guy is not popular among the kids there. Main guy doesn't do well on the test. Nakamura-san's character tries the sword out on the students. Only those three main (unexpectedly, Nobu's character included) are eligible. Ceremony to obtain the sword begins. |

| What's that called when you try to spring back up from falling on your back? That failed. Shinoa dancing around the room and then the sleight-of-hand with the test lol. The room with the giant faces is creepy. |
| I'm glad that i wasn't the only one who noticed the animation getting worse. :/ Nevertheless, this was the best episode for now. But it really doesn't say much for this series yet. Seems like we finally get out of the boring parts now though. And i'm sure that everyone will make it. |

| I thought that they would have adapted the weapon selection scenes but I guess not =o Re-watched the episode and it was really slow paced tbh....I think that scene with Mika visiting his old home is anime original but I liked it a lot and it added more to the mood The animation was great and really odd at times in this episode but I really liked how they animated the scene when Guren used his weapon on the class to see who was ready to go through the ceremony Best parts were definitely all of the Shinoa moments lol she is such a troll xD Her banter with Guren was too funny as well I'm expecting the art and animation to be top notch since they decided to include the entire ceremony as well and that Yoichi stuff in that one episode....Maybe we'll get introduced to a certain blonde character depending on how the episode is paced |

Yeah I figured he mighta meant turning him into a vampire, but unless we suddenly get a very good reason like the humans are somehow worse, which I suppose we might, his goal comes across as misguided at best. Makes it hard to root for him unless as an antagonist, but I assumed he wasn't meant to be one despite being turned. Could be wrong on that though I suppose. |
| Well, almost all characters sucks in this series. Only Shinoa is (very) nice. I'm watching this, only because of incredible animation and art. |

| That was pretty good. The animation in the first half felt really weird ^^; So hyperactive or sth. Like the Yu chasing Shinoa scene for example XD Just gotta love Shinoa's smug though. The way she called Yu's score legendary was lol but best scene was when Guren saw she was still standing and said "I wish u'd drop dead" lol also her "Eh but I'm like super cute" when he told her she's uncute XD Her tone is so sarcastic :3 Yoichi not even being fazed by the demon aura was quite nice to see. Wonder how he'll fare with the real test nxt. Looking forward to see how they'll handle the black demons. From the pv looks like shit will get real. And the animation looks really cool ^^ For some reason my fav scene this ep was the Mika scene walking around the town and getting rejected by those children. Felt really sad :( Esp with that OST!! GODDAMN IT WAS AMAZING *A* I want the track <3<3 |

| Guren not giving a crap about the meeting. A zero of a score, not even a little, tiny pity mark, Shinoa really did it. It actually feels weird how they let these "beginners" with lots of potential already to the highest-series of weapons. I mean, I know the powerful has to start somewhere, but it just feels slightly off. If the test by Guren was good like that already, can't help but to expect a little something from the conquering of the demon weapons. |

| Oh my loving god I'm so fucking glad that I read the manga before watching this, otherwise I would have been so upset at this point because HELL was that slow and boring. Man the show's really testing everyone's patience. And wth is with that stupidly sloppy animationing, it pokes you in the eyes, I mean, did some of the staff just literally drop out or sth?? There was basically NOTHING in this episode and the whole time I was frowning and hoping that it would get better but no, no it fucking didn't. I don't know about those who haven't read the manga but as someone who has, this episode left me speechless, numb even. |
| Annoying Yuu, can't wait for him to find out Mika is a Vampire?.... that might be interesting..... I hope to see more of Guren, he seems by far a more interesting character |

Yuu's personality is one of the things I like the most in this title, but I'm wondering how long it will take before we can get more besides that fact that he wants to save Mika and such. Shinoa is great, as usual, and I'm glad Shinya was finally introduced even though I can't seem to remember him much/he was shown for a short time. Animation was a tad trippy, but it looked hilarious during some scenes so I can't really object. |

| Shinoa kinda bugged me this episode. But the rest was well done as it's been, the soundtrack is beyond amazing, cannot wait to buy it. As someone who just bought the first 4 volumes of Manga, OMG I cannot wait. I can easily see this in my top 5 fav if they keep this going. I am really enjoying this anime so far, and I can't wait for next week.. |

| The Vampires in this anime are not scary at all. A loli, a bishounen, and the other forgettable chick at the ceremony thing. It's just not fearsome at all, it's laughable. Mika is the only one so far that's kinda cool. |
| They really slowed down a lot this episode. I would've thought they would adapt more than 1 chapter but they only covered a bit more than half a chapter this time with all of the anime-original bits to pad out the episode. Can't say I dislike it though given that I read the manga, they'll be able to cover the later parts much better because of the increased pacing. Like everyone said, the animation problem is obvious in this episode. I noticed that this episode had more moving scenes (people in backgrounds, little details in body movements) compared to other episodes so maybe that was one of the reasons. Just hoping they'll improve it in the BDs and do justice for the fight scenes since that's what I'm looking forward to most. :P I like the anime-original with Mika visiting the town and his family's home. The scene of Shinoa dancing around the class with Yuu's scores and Guren testing the students were done better in the anime imo. Next episode will adapt another half of chapter 6 and chapter 7 based on the preview. |

| I really enjoy the sow pacing to be honest. It allows for more character interactions. I ended up roping my husband into watching this, and I was telling him that I like shows that have slower paces in the beginning so that you can connect with the characters. I'm glade that Yoichi was able to shine in terms of withstanding Guren's "test". I haven't read the manga yet, and I know I should - this episode really pushed it for me though. So many questions in terms of the family lineage that Guren was speaking of at the beginning of the episode. The scene with Mika visiting the "house" was very heart breaking. Oh, and I live for the interactions between Guren and Shinoa. My favorite characters in the show, without a doubt - followed by Yoichi. |

| i always found funny the heavy weaponry vampires xD finally they get to make a contract adaptation rant sort of amazing how the studio is managing to turn any comedy into awkwardness.. derp and those bodily animation right after were like watching ragdolls dancing.. | Again, it reminded me of Ao no Exorcist, Rin = Yuu, Bon=the pink haired guy, the difference is Rin&Bon are actually smarter and more interesting. So far it's really predictable. |

Chapter 8 seems like it'd be better adapted as a new episode with the new start of their days. Agree with the quirky movements lol. Lots of small details in body movements this time but it should be a lot better with improved animation so let's just hope they'll fix that. |

| Animation was a little off, I think. I'm hoping they put more budget into the fights... Nevertheless, great episode and I didn't mind it being "slow-paced" as it still intrigued me. It needed to be slow to set the mood. |
