It was revealed in the February issue of Mag Garden's Comic Garden magazine, which will officially be released on January 5, 2015, that two more series from the Grisaia series will receive TV anime. The next two of the trilogy that will be adapted after Grisaia no Kajitsu are Grisaia no Meikyuu and Grisaia no Rakuen. The first sequel, Grisaia no Meikyuu, will premiere at the end of March, with the first episode scheduled to be an hour-long special.

Grisaia no Meikyuu will be the sequel that will adapt the game's heroines, while Grisaia no Rakuen will conclude the trilogy of the series.

Hmm, it seems to indicate a TV series with the hour special that will adapt Grisaia no Meikyuu. MAL will probably add the extra entry for the special considering they would be actual separates.

It looks like Eden will adapt the visual novel for the rest of the series as a full TV show though.

Well I'm cautiously optimistic, and that's another series to add onto the amazing spring line up.

I'll copy/paste this from another thread:

I can't see how they'll be able to adapt the entirety of Meikyuu in an hour, that is just way too rushed even with the notorious overpacing. Like stated previously, the adaption of both Meikyuu and Rakuen in one cour is a more viable bet. Kajitsu is longer than the two so it's believable that they can adapt the rest of Grisaia in one cour. Adapting the first half of the sequels in an hour and the second half with the rest of the TV episodes do not make much sense.

In all honesty, by now, everything is fair game so I wouldn't be surprised if they do animate Meikyuu in one episode. Comments from the Japanese audience though predict 4 episodes (with the first being an hour long) for Meikyuu and 8 for Rakuen.

It has to do with Yuuji's past mainly but not in the sense of an actual prequel, yes.

While both of the titles aren't that long as Kajitsu, I can't imagine 8bit adapting it that well after seeing what they did to the first title.

It's a sequel delving into the past, so Meikyuu should be a sequel to Kajitsu.

Great news,
so its what happend before Kajitsu then what happend after,
cant wait to last episode next week to close this season up :)

hoping this sequels will not be something rushed like some of the arcs
on Grisaia no Kajitsu.

"The first episode scheduled to be an hour long special" - already love it.

From what I could understand they are gonna be two one-cour series, it's just that the first episode of Meikyuu is gonna be one hour long. I could've misunderstood it though.

Considering how bad Grisaia no Kajitsu's TV adaptation turned out, I'm not really seeing the good logic in this greenlight decision. Are Japanese fans just gobbling it up regardless of the quality?

I really want to get excited for this, but I can't... I just can't. The bar is about the lowest it can be now, so hopefully they'll surprise us with how these turn out.

Let me know if a Mahou Shoujo Chiruchiru anime gets announced though, then we'll talk. :D

Doesn't surprise me, I've been waiting for this announcement.

Kajitsu had 13 episodes to adapt 80 hours and went on adapting all the routes, Meikyuu has 30 hours Grand linear route or so and Rakuen is even shorter, if they get 13 episodes treatments as well then it can be good enough and much less rushed.

I've been waiting for them to get adaptations even more than watching Kajitsu in the end after changing whole routes and it getting just 13 episodes. Obviously there will be changes too, but what mattered to me the most is the fact it was too rushed in the end.

Really happy for this news! I think the first series looks gorgeous but the pacing was rushed as hell.

With the sequels, I hope they will take their time adapting it so it doesn't end up a rushed mess again.

i wouldnt even call kajitsu anime rushed.

with all its anime original content, and blatant illogical lack of explaination issues, its more than just rushed. They altered the story completely.

I heard about it a lot, so that's what I'm expecting from it. Dunno why but that sounds so entertaining as fuck to watch it in Grisaia format with all the harem, turning off the brain can be fun sometimes. It can work well as an anime.

It's like over-the-top stupidity that somehow works out pretty effectively... actually I'd say in a way it's more similar to Gurren Lagann or Kill la Kill as far as its atmosphere goes at least lol, except with added super-harem aspects and insane lewdness as well :3

Le Eden De La Grisaia=Kill la Kill? If they put 'la' in it, it makes it feel like an Over the top French action movie ... everything makes sense now.
