| It wasn't neccessary for them to show Luffy spitting up 50 gallons of water./// But Arlong: "I don't remember there being a fountain here." Lulz! From the moment I first saw his nose, I knew Arlong was gonna stab someone with it. Had a feeling it would be Zoro too. I don't get how Luffy was rocketed into the air instead of having his head forced back underwater, but okay. Luffy stretching his way out of Arlong's bite was kinda funny. Can't wait for next ep. Arlong seems immune to Luffy's attacks. ALSO, they may explain it later, or not... But what happens if a merman eats a devil's fruit??? |

| Nami asking her fellow villagers to "please die with her" was my favorite Nami moment yet. No way she can betray the rubber man when she's wearing his treasure, what a seriously beautiful moment. I have so much respect for her for the first time in regards to her relation to the other straw hats. I thought it was super gar when Zoro told Sanji he wouldn't last 30 seconds, giving him a chance to save Luffy. Speaking of, that entire scene was incredible, Zoro is so cool. He's been fighting with such a mangled body that you could tell Arlong was intimidated. He had an instinct to finish him off right there like he was a real threat, especially if he was at full health. You got to love Zoro's ability to smile and mock his opponent while he's being held in the air by his throat, cut nearly in half and pierced by a shark nose. That face was the first real time we've seen Zoro with a complete loss of composure. And the resolution of everyone patiently waiting for the fight to be over was chilling. Sanji says to Nojiko and Gen that if he loses they'll all die, and they state emotionlessly that they know. This is the final battle, and everyone has exhausted everything so far, it's up to Luffy and everyone knows that. Luffy responding to Arlong's claim of the difference between them being features rather than species was a genius counter to the racist approach coming from Arlong. All you have over Luffy is a weird nose, a weird jaw, and webs, step down from your throne fool. |
| Despite all the difficulties, the only opponent that stands before them is Arlong. Any difference between humans and mermen are rendered superficial because he's getting his ass kicked no matter what. |

| And with those words, Nami is a true Straw Hat pirate now. Can't believe Arlong was using his nose as a makeshift sword and that too so efficiently. Zoro's wound is nasty, to say the least. Luffy's finally free. Now he has to be wary of his strong-ass jaws and his nose which is a makeshift jagged blade. I don't think his strength would have much effect on Luffy. |

| Yes Luffy's back in action, baby! God I was laughing so hard when he just chucked Zorro away from Arlong when they were making the switch. XD And that exchange at the beginning of that fight between Arlong and Luffy was marvellous as well. The final battle between these two has begun. Ya know what? This is MY favourite arc of One Piece so far. Arlong is by and far the best villain we've had and the fight with Luffy is only proof of that. Another awesome episode personally. |
