What? They're explaining Marley's side and how they infiltrated on Paradis Island. It was pretty clear.

You wonder who HE was, but everything was clear.. great logic

Its obvious I know who he is -do you know what sarcasm is?-. You just ignored everything I wrote to you lol.

Everything you wrote? What?
You didn't say anything important nor answer any of my questions about who are the new side characters.
They were changing blonde Reiner alike characters all the time Reiner old, reiner young, Falco, Zeke mixing up new other characters showing a few minutes of 4-5 years ago then switching back to "current" time.
And you only say the obvious "They're explaining Marley's side and how they infiltrated on Paradis Island." It is the same as saying - Eren is a Titan...
and no sentence "Guy at the end is suspicious, I wonder who is he." and used before quoting me is not a sarcasm.

Mod Edit: Removed baiting.

that 3 episodes are really cofusing... time changing too many new characters.. I even don't know who is young Reinzer, Zeke and who is that young blonde boy who says mr Braun will be fine in ep 2...
who are others , which episode each fight who is what titan?! when it is reiner when it is someone else and who is he? who was before reiner ? this is too confusing and not fun to watch while I have to rewatch after 3 episodes to answer some question..
why Braun, Gabi and Finger, Pieck look the same? why reiner and othe blondes look the same? can't they make them look different? total shit
when was that attack on some unknown city which was probably reiner and zeke? but where was annie and rest?
rly bad narration, really badly made story and ultra rushed, this is probably because Titan anime lost in sales...

I'll try answering some of your questions

Young Reiner and young Zeke can be recognized by their voice and their similar face . Its not that hard .
They look the same ? Seriously dude ?
Its been 4 years since Marley's attack on Paradis ( Which is 4 years from Season 3 ) . Annie and Bertholdt getting caught by Paradis was a huge blow to Marley's military power . Marley has many enemies besides Paradis . The Middle East alliance which were the ones Marley fought in EP 1 saw this as a chance to attack Marley . Then they were defeated by Reiner , Zeke , Galliard Porco and Pieck who are the current warriors .

Now I'll try to explain about the new kid characters introduced .
The Curse of Ymir only allows Titan shifters to live upto 13 years . Thus Reiner has 2 years left , Zeke has 1 year and Eren has 4 . New warriors have to be trained in order to make them fit to be Marleyan Titan warriors who get to inherit titans . These new kids are warriors training to be the one to inherit Reiner's armored titan . Falco and Gabi are important , you don't need to care about the rest of the kids . Falco's brother , Colt is also a warrior who is going to inherit the Beast titan which Zeke has .

AOT is actually doing great in sales if you didn't know despite being a monthly manga .
You can ask me other questions in case this isn't enough .

• Ah, so that’s what the Cart Titan looks like! Explains why she needs a crutch, too, when she spends 90% of her time carrying shit. That’s gotta be bad for your back, even if you do it in Titan Form.
• Alright, the last two episodes were mediocre at best, but things are finally picking up. I love getting the backstory on how Reiner, Bertoldt, and Annie inherited their Titan Forms. Now the introduction of all the new characters (i.e. the next generation) makes sense as well since they’re basically going through the same qualification process that Reiner and co. went through when they were kids.
• Right now I have a feeling that Reiner is going to end up siding with the island people or whatever they’re called—you know, Eren and the others. It doesn’t make sense that they’ve kept him around this long otherwise.
• Annie is one crazy bitch.
• The guy faking the PTSD sounds like Eren, but that’s probably a coincidence.
• Scratch that, he has the same eyes and eyebrows as Eren too. But why would Eren be here of all places? And how is he missing a limb? He’s a Titan, so it should have regenerated.

It's interesting how they're showing how Reiner's mission started and other stuff from his past but for some reason I just can't feel any sympathy for him or for any of these brainwashed Eldians. And wtf happened to Eren's leg lol

This was a great episode, I am glad they explained the backstory of all the Eldians from the past. I don't know why but I'm starting to like Reiner, although a few episodes ago I would rather punch him in the face.
And the end was brilliant, he's finally here, ahhh, I can't wait for more. :D

This was such an excellently directed episode I don't know what to say. The transition of Reiner seeing himself in Eren to Reiner cocking his gun about to blow his head off was so good.

Remarkable backstory episode and much needed characterization for Annie to boot.

I’m just confused why everyone is rating this so highly. Narratively it’s a sloppy mess, and it seems like a clear downgrade compared to previous seasons.

If this was the first season I’d probably be dropping this, this feels just like the final GoT season =/

Reiner's been through a lot since his childhood almost felt bad for him with his past

So this is how their journey started and who killed who and what happened back then when they broke Wall Maria It seems to make sense now as things are starting to connect from each other

I thought he would've shot himself dead there, Well who would have guessed it speak of the devil I think it's going to be an interesting start from here on out.

Interesting that we get a glimpse to Reiner's backstory and this is probably where I would sympathize him but too bad most of the flashbacks were cut from the manga or was it just like how Isayama does the direction to adding more original scenes and try to add ones from the manga too while both are combined and I somehow lost track so starting episode was way too fast in pacing but I did find something interesting with the original scenes where we get to know each and every of these warriors (or we still can consider them as traitors) who are the ones inherited their respective titan alongside with their label, also that scene where we all know that
is the one who eats Marcel and Annie be beating Reiner like a champ but Reiner manages to fight back, also Reiner is scaring me out now with the gun on his mouth I'm starting to feel bad pls, Also Falco talking to Eren is very unexpected but realized that Season 4 is a timeskip and Eren be speaking facts with "Only those who keep moving forward will ever know"!!!

holy fuck that ending. its our eren AAAAAAAIVBIWCWOUCOWCOJC how did he get there omg when did he sneak in AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

isayama you god of story telling i love u

this episode deepens our understanding of reiner's trauma. he's been suffering this opperssion of marleyans from his childhood, seeing his mother break down wishing she was born a marleyan. poor reiner. we go deeper into reiner's past this episode. reiner is all excited about the thought of becoming a warrior. while reiner is training to become a warrioir, we see armin approach eren with his book. showing the contrast between their lives at that time.

all reiner wants is a happy family :(

so we see the kids getting chosen as the new warriors.

reiner was never supposed to be chosen as the armoured titan, fuck that was a heavy blow. just imagine what position reiner is in now after all these years. he was never meant to be the armoured titan, yet he did what was asked of him, spent those 5 years with his friends, got so attached to them, still had to betray them and the guilt still eats him after all these years, ptsd at its worst.

that part where annie just beats reiner was brutal man, felt so bad for him, our boi doesn't deserve this, all he wanted was a happy family.

hmm what was that scene with annie and kenny, is kenny annie's father? is annie a ackerman too? wtf is going on help

we briefly see the scene where everyone is trying to predict the weather using berts sleeping pose. present reiner is thinking all this, this shows his true happy days were training along side is friends.

this has made more clear what a tragic life reiner leads. i think reiner is the only other charcter who we know about so much other than our main trio. reiner went through some ken kaneki level suffering man. looking back on his speeches, his guilt and suffering is visible. we didn't realise it at that time. i'm definitely gonna rewatch all seasons after final season part 2 finishes airing.

was reiner going to kill himself? damn. that was close. imagine he died just like that, suicide wtf

up until the very last moment i didn't realise it was our eren, the moment he changed his voice, i got goosebumps. fuck. superb voice acting and cinematography. it was amazing.

eren sure has grown a lot, reiner and eren are looking sexy af, can't wait to see mikasa.

very excited for next episode.

Its weird watching this episode when knowing most of the character here were actually already death or frozen. Feels like a big remembrances.

"Reiner reflects on his past, remembering what pushed him to become a Warrior and keep moving forward when all hope was lost."

Thanks for summing the episode up, Cr. So, yeah, bruh, that's what Daddy Kenny told me before. Lucky for Reiner by realizing it before shooting himself.

Then, that's a relieve knowing its not just me whose thinking those last person looks really like Eren xd. 3 episodes in, and i already miss that brat, or shall i say the ex brat, and the rest of the Survey Corps...

I thought he still had his legs last time we checked. What's even going on, I've no idea anymore. Either way I hope we go back to Mikasa and co. kicking some titan behinds.

The sight of the Eldia soldiers reuniting with their families really warmed my heart. And Pieck would occasionally pass by the children and say a few words of tender concern. I was really knocked down.
The fact that Reiner talked about the "devils" on Paradis island as if he was reminiscing about his school days with naughty friends showed that he was very fond of those times. But his mother's reaction sends a message: in this story, the enemy young people are facing is not just titans, a brutal dictatorship, but an entire idea. Typically, parents with domineering and selfish thoughts, from which young people are controlled and damned in the mud of the family. Completely connected to our real world.
One obvious question: if all the titans were eliminated on Paradis Island, (obviously, Eren and Armin got along so well) then where would the first king's power to control titans make any sense?
I still don't understand how Eldia and Fritz are related to Ymir. And what enmity does the Tybur family have against Fritz, are they all Eldians?
Damn... Reiner's past. So Reiner has half Marley people blood? Are the Marley people human?
It was weird that that mother felt humiliated because of her race. I don't like her point of view.
Reiner has undergone two training sessions.
Little Annie looks so weird. Art problem.
This scene is a bit absurd. Does the fact that Reiner wants to be with his father and mother mean that he can only live to be 27? And he rarely even gets to go home?
Annie, what's wrong?
Hey welcome back Eren!
Both Reiner and Eren have their own walls. But if Reiner's story was told like this, wouldn't Eren's story about his dream of killing all the titans and getting off the wall for some fun travels was too childish and ridiculous?
My Annie... So anyone who has the ability to turn into a titan will look like that when they turn into a titan? Because the female Titan looks like Annie, the Armored Titan looks like Reiner.
I almost forgot, Zeke has Fritz blood, royal blood like Historia?
Damn... human, I mean, that man, Reiner's father, these are problem families. Parents should be the ones who protect their children, not chase them away. Eren is the happiest kid in AOT.
Damn Marcel, what the truth!
Thus the Marley empire also researched titans like Survey corps. Even researching about eating a titan with the power will turn back into a human.
Damn are you sure these are kids? Reiner-Bertholdt-Annie in season 1 wasn't even as wise as their childish versions.
I don't agree with how they let Reiner become the underdog. Apparently Reiner ranked 2nd out of the 10 best in training 104.
Chill out! Annie! This is not Annie I know. Annie doesn't talk much and likes to torture others.
The scene where Reiner-Annie fights is the problem scene in this season, destroy the character.
Who's that shh
Damn, so the Annie-Bertholdt-Reiner "kids" did their own investigation and broke into Sina? And meet Kenny? Wow
That scene is like fan-service.
Story of the past. So Annie had many nights out of her bed. And no one noticed that?
No no no what're you doing?
Another side of Reiner. He has suffered too much psychological trauma. This story is completely true with spies in wars.
Although the way Reiner is depicted is not entirely convincing, the psychological aspect of Reiner portrayed is weighty and haunting.
WHAT IS THE ACTUAL F?
Eren? Why are you here?

Interesting backstory for Reiner and the gang. This is why I can't hate them despite everything they've done. They have their reasons.
So Eren & the gang have already infiltrated the mainland. I'm curious to know how they were able to beat the technologically superior ships that were sent to Paradis.

There is so much background on Reiner's story. I really think that it's important to know, but almost 3 episodes in the same scenario it's not so good. What about Levi, Mikasa, Armin and the others?

What a appearance from 'the guy' on the end of the episode. How many years have passed since season 3?

Very good episode, interesting that Rainer would not be chosen if it weren't for Marcel speaking badly about his brother to save him from becoming a Titan, that's why I suppose he apologizes and that's also why he saves him. Now we know what the other part of Rainer was, it's Marcel... he had to "become" this one in order to carry out his whole mission of retrieving the founding titan and I liked that Annie kicked his ass. Now we know where they got the story about where they lived before and it's interesting that Annie tried to get information from Kenny, bad luck lol. It is incredible that at such a young age they destroyed Shingashina and the wall of Maria, the words that the man Falco speaks with are very interesting.

Linking up the past with the present regarding Reiner's POV, suddenly all these little comments about wanting to go home and how everyone should die etc makes so much more sense.
Reiner forced himself to continue forward by becoming Marcel, he had to for his own sake.

Now we also know Eren and crew are on the main land, I wonder how he keeps his leg amputated despite his healing powers, unless being close to your 13 years of Titan ownership makes you lose your powers slowly.

This episode didn’t really add much, (other than that Reiner scene) but it was still pretty good
- So Reiner wasn’t actually meant to become the Armour? Weird, I can’t see Porco doing it at all.
- Holy crap man, poor Reiner. Someone get my boy some help, he literally would have killed himself if Falco didn’t happen to be there
- I love the ending song so much.

The detail on Annie and the insect, later translated into the beat down that she gave to Reiner. The voices really changed. Such a character development for Reiner, from being trash into competing to obtain a titan and obtaining it with help, he is very lost, his goal to be a marleyan now has no purpose, I think he should be interested in obtaining the founding titan, as much as Zeke, the only thing of value, I don’t know.
