| ehh while it was disappointing we didn't see the battle between Sakurazawa. i think the recap was good :D lots of fun scenes!!! Ayase Chitose!!!!! Kana chan's three eye lashes!!! Snowmaru Queen!!!! Sumire!!! wow not surprised how Chihaya prefers someone who loves Karuta(Harada O__O) and Kana chan with someone who knows Kimono! and wow Mrs. Sakurazawa's boobs are really big O__O soo tasty!!! more Arata episodes please!!! season 2 is nearing it's final episodes and we didn't get to see Arata that much except that one time when he substitute from another team now i can't wait for the next episode!!! funny thing is that Attack of the Titans is also similar with a recap like episode. can't wait for both episodes!!!!!!! |

Basically; Chihaya, Taichi, and even Arata are just "very good players". The thing is, so is EVERY SINGLE OTHER CLASS A AND B PLAYER. The only person truly above most other players, the only actual prodigy in the show, is the Queen and the guy's equivalent. You're not watching some shitty low-level beginner play against Chihaya, you're seeing two players of the highest caliber go against one another. Of course she loses a lot, she's barely good enough to be considered class A and she's up against people who easily would outrank her if it went any higher. She's like on the lower percentage of skill in the A class. The thing is, she's also got a shit ton of raw talent - and the more experience she gets and techniques she copies, the more that talent starts to show as skill and game knowledge. She's developing realistically instead of just "I'm the best!". Great post! Main characters winning most of the time tends to create an idol-like character that the viewers want to become like.. on which they can project themselves.. I like Chihayafuru better for this opposite, that the main characters lose most of the time. It definitely adds to the realism, and helps the viewers relate more. (Although I think the viewer's tastes have already been constructed to prefer the main-go-win). It's a good reaction to such anime as well.. Also, if there are losses in matches, it's usually skimmed over. I love how this goes all out to finally define the moment. It adds to the character as well as plot development. And one thing is here.. I feel as if this game is very crucial BECAUSE of her defeats.. She definitely has the capacity to win this now, despite her opponent being good. Ideally, even plotwise she ought to win this, but.. let's see... |

Realistic amount, but how do you explain Kana and Desk-kun's victory against B class players or even A class players (not sure) when they themselves were only C class players.. | 4/5 Maybe I do not see the utility right now, but the summaries made to "Chihayafuru," are too cute and make you even entertain; thing that I have never seen elsewhere. So I'm not sorry to see him again this season. |

| Ah the recap episode like the previous season's recap also has some funny bits. We finally sort of got the answer on how Retro met Nishida's sister...quite the bone breaking experience. I quite shocked at the fact that Sudo the sadist got a lot of girlfriends apparently. |
