I plan on participating this year. I like making avatars for other people and it's an easy gift to give.
I hope to see you around the forums. It's been great talking with you :D
That's fine, it's good to hear from someone who's watched it. It's been in the back of my mind for months and I'm just about ready to sit down and watch it.
Are you going to participate in the Secret Santa gift exchange this year for MAL?
I find myself watching a lot of slice of life anime unknowingly, but I only like them when they have a story to tell. Moving plots are always what I look for in a story. Also, like you said, anime with meaning and strong themes and motifs are favorites of mine too.
I've been meaning to watch Full Metal Panic. What was it like?
I like any genre so long as the story's good, but I don't like mecha and romcoms as much. I prefer action/adventure and pure romance.
What about you? (sorry if I made two comments, I don't think the other one went through)
I have seen the first season! It was on my anime challenge watch list, so I'm really glad because I liked it a ton.
I cant wait to watch more because Keisuke is my favorite character.
I see! I can also say, I used to like Inuyasha with Kagome so much, I hated Kikyo with a passion. I've rewatched the series a couple of times now though so I understand and respect the love they shared. I always loved Kouga though. He is my faaaavorite character even though I ship Inuyasha and Kagome.
I found you on the anime discussion for "The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato". I was reading your comments and I saw you had an Inuyasha avatar, but I didn't think you'd still be on the site. It's very nice to meet you!
Oh, I loved everything about the series since it was the first anime I marathoned. I love the characters, I love the story, I love the music especially, and I have a difficult time thinking of anything I actually dislike about it. As for you? What was your favorite part?
Actually the time between the airing of the show and the release of the dubbed has hugely decreased within the last few years, where as you used to wait a minimum of 3 years and that was for the most popular shows, now your wait is about 3-months to a week. But that doesn't necessarily mean the quality of the dub will be very good. I have specific voice actors I am partial to and also the dub for me has to be taken very seriously just as much as the Japanese do.
yeah, because I discovered Inuyasha on Adult Swim, which was English dubbed and the voice acting cast was really good so I was uoset when I started watching final act to see they changed some of the voice actors.
Yeah you have a point, and I was also super excited about Inuyasha Final Act when it finally came out but was suoer disappointed to see that they had used different voice actors and couldn't get through it. :(
Well to be honest I never thought the movies were as good as the tv-series but I appreciated that they focused more on the romance that it teased you with. If I had to pick I would say The first movie affections touching a crossed time was really satisfying, but the better movie that really stayed true to the quality of the series would have to be swords of an honorable ruler. wbu?
