| Okay. How about we get real for a second? Hibiki's friends are supposed to be generic. They're 18 year old high school kids. Real people aren't quirky or special. Yeah, Nitta is useless. Most 18 year old girls would be crying in a corner over their mother. She just fucking watched dozens of people be killed by a strange alien creature. What Devil Survivor 2 does, and does extremely well, is try to simulate a realistic world destruction in a fantasy setting. Since the game's 'factions' revolve around ideologies very similar to real life. If the characters didn't like like actual people, we wouldn't be able to relate our values to theirs. This is why the tension level does not explode. You don't watch this if you want a wam bam typical anime plot about SAVING DAH WORLD and shit. Calling it bad because the best friend does have some quirky trait like HE'S A COMPUTER WHIZZ is partly the reason why we don't get more thoughtful stories from all forms of media, not just Anime. |
| So they're following the manga instead of the game? I'm not sure how I should feel about this, since I never read it, but I'll keep on watching this series until the end. I like the fact they're giving the characters more emotion than in the game, it makes them a bit more realistic. I'm still kind of bothered by Yamato's voice since he's one of the youngest in the whole cast but is given the voice of 25 year old. Still no Joe, but the Osaka crew is going to be introduced next week. |

We're talking about a very independent young man, privately educated and spent his entire life dependent on leading a government organisation. He's obviously going to sound a bit older than he actually is. Especially only by 7 years. Even in the game Daichi is shocked when he finds out Yamato is a 17 year old. |

| Isayama Hajime should be awarded The Manga with The Highest Inconsistencies of Characters' Appearances. He keeps performing multiple plastic surgeries on those Shingeki No Kyojin characters in a SINGLE chapter. Yes, I've read up to the latest chapter of Shingeki No Kyojin manga. Forced myself to read through the kidsketching chapters after the anime's ended. At least from now on, I only have to go through the hell once a month. Patiently awaiting SNK TV/movie/OVA anime-sequel. The 2015 SNK live-action movie would probably suck. |

| A good episode, however, too hasty, as well as the first. I wonder, why Persona 4, and a game with fewer characters than Devil Survivor 2, had twice as many episodes of this second will? A bit unfair, and Devil Survivor 2 has a plot far more extensive. Great soundtrack, animation slightly below the first episode, but it is at this level that the series will continue. |

| Just an information dump episode. Those who complain about Nitta being useless and all, anyone not just girl will be like her in reality, suddenly aliens and demons appearing and seeing people die here and there, most would've break down. This just leave an opening for character developments. Next episode should be exciting. |

| Funny, last week I said the characters gave me a Durarara!! vibe and apparently it's the same character designer. Especially Io/Anri just have a very similar vibe. Episode was OK. I'm still interested. |

| Am i the only one who feels like the pacing in this anime is too damn fast? There is little to know Character development, the plot is like speed reading a book without even understanding what's going on. The information that they tried to give was explained so loosely it was basically pointless. I thought this was going to be like persona, it focused on the characters first then started to build up the plot giving us a pretty good anime. This...... This is....I just don't even... |

I'm surprise that Byakko is able to finish off all the demons with just maziodyne since it's MA stats isn't that high. Seeing Io like this just feels...wrong? She wasn't this depress in the game, hope she gets better in the next episode. |

| As usual, they make the female look pathetic. It's seriously annoying. On another note, I can't see how this will fit in 13 episodes. XLNC said: I'm having Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 vibes here. Other than this having demons as the source and the leads saving to save the World, while TM 8.0 is about a natural disaster? And that this is an action-combat anime, while Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 is more of a slice of life? Other than a disaster occurring in Tokyo, I can't see the similarities. |

Or we are seeing yet another case of changes made that impacted users but not communicated to them? I wonder how long people would put up with this. As much as I have a bunch of information to share about anime announced recently I cannot share it in news board, and the anime series is too disorganized and chaotic to share information except with people already interested in the particular series. |
| The differences from the game are becoming too distinct now. A definite alternative, but whether or not I enjoy it should be based on its own merits. Makoto's character they're doing fine with, she's how I'd expect her to be. However I'm disappointed with their execution of Io's character, Daichi was more of the useless one for a while. Io was always trying to be as useful as she could, she had a fair amount of lines in the game as well. Also, Dubhe is being taken surprisingly lightly in the anime...it reminds me of 11eyes, I really hope this adaptation doesn't follow the same path. |

| I like the desperate atmosphere in first half of this ep but then those horrible battles came and it totally ruined it (again, the same happened in previous episode). Heck, those flying skulls and their shrieks was like some bad joke. This is no no and later I noticed I was so bored that I almost fell asleep. And those archetypes, I hate them. We have this shounen who miraculously wields strongest power and only he can save the world. Then there is weak heroine who needs his protection and his friend who is in love with her. Not to mention other things. Clichefest. So I guess I am dropping this as it definitely won't be any better. |

| It was decent at best. Got some more information and a bit of plot development, so can't complain too much. Byakko is definitely cool, but I'm ready to see more. First episode was better, but this one was still enjoyable. Also, Persona 4 got a 2 cour...Why only 13 for this? I don't know how they can do the entire game in a 1 cour anime, but whatever. |
