| I has always supports Minami from this starts. Now all of us understands why I think her before Himeji after this episode ends. She has lonely. She try fit in class. But Minami cannot. She Cry. Akihisa speak France. He think he speak Germany. Minami speak bad Japan language. Badder English. But I much love episode. Good episode. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have always liked Minami from the very start of the anime. As a matter of fact, she was the main reason why I followed the first one. I like Himeji too but, after this episode, perhaps some of you will get to understand why I always liked Minami more. Despite being left out for her language barrier, she tried her best to fit in the class. It was hurting to see her putting a smile on her face in front of Hazuki, even though she was crying inside. And finally it's revealed why she fell for Akihisa who did his best to become her friend, even though he messed up French with German. His stupidity actually got himself probably the best girl in the school! Excuse Minami's grasp in Japanese. Her English was horrible. For more than once I thought she might be fundamentally weak in languages. Regardless I loved episode even though I waited for 7 days to see the reactions of everyone after that kiss. Probably because I am Minami fan. |

| This episode, although it explains a bit of Minami's past, was pretty mediocre compared to the whole series. But that's just my opinion |

| I suspected something along these lines after last week's incredible cliffhanger and unfortunately, I was right. It wasn't a really interesting episode I fear, explained virtually nothing about Minami's background and was extremely unrealistic as far as levels of languages are concerned. Not really funny too. Well, I guess we still have to wait for next week's episode to find about what really matters. |

I'm not sure if that's the ONLY reason why Mizuki likes Akihisa but if it is.....YEAH, she loses....BIG! Minami's story was bigger and more significant, although I would feel very bad if Mizuki is all alone.... OH NOES, I see a NICE BOAT coming soon.....LOL! |

The answer is 'No'. Which means those two girls needed reasons to like him. In this case, Minami's reason for liking him has a much bigger story behind it as shown in this episode. So Minami wins my vote here (well she always had my vote to begin with). But they might bring in something more appealing for Himeji in the end. More so often, the first one to approach is the one being left out in the end. In this case sadly, it would be Minami. ;_; Is Minami a totally amazing girl that makes boys fall head to toe in love with her? The answer is 'Yes'. Which means Akihisa might as well liked her had she not been tsun tsun with him all the time, which she cannot help. Also, since he is slow, he never realized her feelings, just like he still misunderstands Himeji's. Ironically, Minami shows her affection for Aki much more than Himeji does, but her tsun tsun always worked against her. But slowly and surely she has come a long way to become a real possibility of whom Aki might end up with. Is Himeji a totally amazing girl that makes boys fall head to toe in love with her? The answer is 'Yes'. And since she is soft spoken and shy, and of course, physically more appealing (you cannot ignore the fact), it is obvious that a simple minded guy like Akihisa would fall for her, and there is nothing wrong about it. But slowly Himeji has been losing out to Minami as the anime progressed. While Himeji's cooking episode was shown as something comedic, Minami's cooking episode shown as her desperation and struggle to convey her affection for Aki. And there was this episode with Hazuki where Akihisa unknowingly buys Minami a plushy doll, bringing Minami to smile again without her knowing too. Also, in a particular episode, Akihisa did mention that he likes girls with ponytails. And then this recent misunderstanding over mails and the kiss to end it too! If they do not show anymore beyond the "failing-to-give-her-letter-to-Akihisa" thingy, I will not be able to appreciate a Himeji ending. I just wont. >,< I dare say the original novel started as Akihisa x Himeji as Minami and the rest as side characters, but as the story progressed, we see how Minami actually came to the same importance just like Himeji and with this particular episode, perhaps well overtaken her by quite a distance. Something we often see in Novels/ Light Novels/ Manga as the story progresses. Unrelated, but might spoil those who don't follow the LN/Manga of similar development of other stories. |

| Very good episode and in my opinion the funniest and best in this series. We have now more background information about Minami and how she met Yoshii. I laughed at Minami dragging Hideyoshi out of the toilet. xD Minami's German was terrible and hard to understand ("Was machst du? Das ist eine Toilette für Männer!"). But all the language jokes were very funny with the "What a shit man you are" and that Yoshii was speaking French. |

| I was quite disappointed because I thought I was going to laugh hard each episode but it made me realize that Baka Test can be MORE than just that so it was a good change of pace. Oh, and how they made me feel a bit emotional with Minami's character was a big plus! |

| @alexcampos It probably wouldn't be that hard to find someone fluent in English, German, etc, but this is a business venture. Hiring more voices than necessary is not optimal for funds. It is cheaper to use one seiyuu per character, although additional 'singing' voices are occasionally used. This one-to-one arrangement means that it is either awkward Japanese or awkward English, German, etc. Given that most of the lines are in Japanese, it makes sense that they would neglect other languages for profit. |
