Yofukashi no Yuri for sure, despite someone arguing about it above. If Live dreams about someone who looks EXACTLY like MC naked, and drools on pillow, I think it’s fair to say she has tendencies. But beyond that it’s visually gorgeous, has great character designs and is animated smooth as silk. Looks like I may break my record for 10 scores this season… |

A pretty unlikeable MC lol, hopefully there's some sort of reasoning/explanation or redemption mini arc in this show, wouldn't be a fan if she stayed stagnant or her actions and words got swept under the rug in favor of this new relationship with the vampires. I was waiting for she to show some humility, even just a tiny bit, but nope lol |

@GakutoDeathGlare I'm loving that the MC is kind of an asshole, feels way more interesting than some cardboard cutout. I would imagine there has to be some sort of redemption or explanation that at least puts her in a better light, though. |

Masaki REALLY looks like that Vtuber Inugami Korone, what I mostly focused on throughout this whole episode

@HueyLion I thought so too! Her front hair looks like dog ears lol, so I kept thinking she looked a bit like a dog. kinda unrelated, I like how they drew the cheeks in this show. |

Pretty nice first episode, yofukashi no uta + vlad love hybrid looks promising. MC is kinda unlikable but understandable, I have some anger issues too xd Just hope that P.A won't make nice pilot episode and boring everything else again (hello akiba maid) |

Sucks to be the one kicked out if she was the one who created the channel in the first place and then the others talk smack about her behind her back. Looks like a fun series to follow. We'll see where this is going to go. |

The first episode was quite interesting, especially with the concept of a canceled YouTuber. The audition scene perfectly captures how people on Twitter or in general behave towards someone who has been canceled. Despite Masaki's former bandmates saying they broke up due to fights, they only mentioned the obvious reasons why people fall out, so it's incomplete information to me. The opening is catchy, but the ending was quite unique and surprising. There are many interesting animes this season; I don't understand why some say this season is lacking. |

@WSlav I'm not going to read this wall of text and I'm not going to talk about what this show will and won't be. I'm just asking that you don't jump to conclusions based on the first episode alone, because that either raises or lowers expectations too early, turning further viewing of the show into a biased attempt to tailor the narrative to what you've already come up with for yourself. With subsequent disappointment if it turns out to be false. People fall into this trap all the time, myself included. Both themselves and through the fault of the creators themselves in some cases.
But in case you were wondering, yes, people jump to conclusions REALLY easily. For example, any show with two female protagonists will instantly be labeled yuri. Well, simply because if a show has two female leads, then it will definitely be about romance between them. So no need to argue with me about vague "general themes and aesthetics" just because you need a new reason to continue arguing with me.

@nwssx Thank you for responding to an old comment and returning me to the thread from which I left yesterday to write to me about how I impose my opinion on people. Do you see? I am also good at ironic comparisons. And yes, just as people have rights to their theories (which they impose as fact), I also have the right to criticize them. Because there's nothing wrong with pointing out to people that their "theories and comparisons" are inconsistent with how the show is being marketed so far. @Narizor Because it really is, especially compared to other seasons. Not to mention that “interest” is a relative concept. |

I didn't read the synopsis before watching the first episode so I was super confused when they suddenly introduced the vampire girl out of nowhere. On another topic, Japanese youtube has always been very weird for me. It's all big texts in the thumbnail (western youtube is the same in that regard), subtitles for almost every single word said in the videos, haunted sites, etc. Also, apparently they live stream apology "videos" in Japan? Like why? Wouldn't you want the best version of your apology video? I guess that's one aspect on Japanese internet culture I won't understand. It was alright. The randomness didn't really sell the anime to me. Gonna keep watching until the third episode though. |

YESSS another vampire anime, and there are also lots of anime about youtubers this year. Masaki really looks like a dog lol, anything will be done to defeat her friend who took her out so this is revenge for Masaki. Live is a vampire who made me interested in continuing to watch this, a very funny character. This OP song is one of the best this season, ED was so good and cute Ikumi is a good singer. |

@Animillion Such gross exaggeration. Like, why? You are on an anime aggregation site. It takes like 4 clicks to see that 7 P.A. Works last 8 seasonals aren't all-girl shows, and the 1 that I am granting you has a recurring male character. And to say that there are more than enough all-girl shows? By that logic, there are more than enough romcoms, harems, and isekai. If you hate all-girl shows, maybe try not watching all-girl shows. |

@Fail_Man_X Maybe if fewer people started watching those anime they wouldn’t keep producing as much as they do, but that won’t happen because they’re the ones that tend to attract an excessive amount of attention. If you count just how many there are this season alone you’ll understand what I mean, not just limited to PA Works this season. And even in the shows with some male characters, they always make them cardboard characters with little effort put towards them because they just want to sell the waifus. |

@Avvenirista Good for you. I completely disagree but you do you. Idk what you mean by “putting your money where your mouth is” in this situation since there’s nothing I can do about how this anime girl stuff has infested the brains of everyone. It’s clear there’s too much interest that they’ll keep churning this stuff in favour of other more quality series that could be made. It’s become just like isekai fatigue except worse. Also, PA could’ve shoved this stuff to the side and focused on a sequel to one of their few good works like Kuromukuro, but no they just left that for dead. |

@Fail_Man_X Out of all the ones that aren’t only all-female cast or don’t have a female mc, tell me ones where the male character is the standout, popular, and more well-received. It’s limited only to Shounen as far as I can tell. There’s just no care towards making good and popular male characters. Ones that would dominate a whole anime season I mean. |

@Animillion There's nothing you can do? I already told you to put your money where you mouth is. If you want more TV series like Buddy Daddies then fork over the money and support the series by buying the home video releases and goods, because nothing else matter. And what even is your argument here? In your first post you were saying that ''we'' have enough TV anime series with all-female casts airing every season and then you go and contradict yourself by saying that said TV series with all-female casts are constantly produced because the viewers' appetite for such series is never sated? |

@Avvenirista “ TV series with all-female casts are constantly produced because the viewers' appetite for such series is never sated?”. Yes this is true. People can’t get enough of their anime girls. If you seriously believe that the gender doesn’t matter, you’re being delusional. These series can exist obviously, but then balance things out with an equal quantity of series with good and very popular male characters as well in non-action anime. I fail to see that balance. To give a more focused look, name me a recent music anime with primarily male characters that reached the heights of popularity and mass appeal of Bocchi, GBC, K-On, Sound Euphonium, etc. And your lie in April doesn’t count either because the guy wasn’t the selling point. As for spending money, I purchase manga and merch of some of the series I like but not DVDs because of streaming. |

@Avvenirista I realize I’m not entitled to anything other than my opinion, which I’m trying to share here. I’m trying to hit home the frustration that all that sells is this type of stuff or shounen and that there are barely any good and popular male characters nowadays every season. I like my fair share of female characters (in non all-female cast anime) too, but all we get is cardboard cutout male characters a majority of the time that are ALWAYS outshined by the female characters. I’m not sure how you fail to see my point about this when it’s just a fact. I know it probably sounds like I’m lashing at you and sorry, but I’ve been so bitter about this stuff ever since a series with an actual good male mc (Tokyo Ghoul) failed to get a remake it deserves yet a plethora of mainly female cast anime remakes and new adaptations were announced. I’ve said my piece, I’ll just be quiet now… |

@Animillion That's just not true though. Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin's main character is a girl, but the supporting cast will feature quite a few males. Romances like Senpai wa Otokonoko (2 male mcs), Alya-san, Giji Harem, Gimei Seikatsu and 2.5D seduction all have a male MC. I just watched Isekai Shikkaku, whose main character is a really interesting male. You're just complaining that the CGDCT genre exists. If it's not your thing that's fine, but that's just your preference. The last thing that determines my enjoyment a show is the gender of the characters. |

@Animillion why the hell does it matter? There are TONS of shows with male MCs. Some are shit, some are amazing. Same with shows that have female MCs. Character is what matters, not some stupid “representation” or whatever BS you are sprouting. Good characters are what matters. Their personalities, motivations, interactions, how they progress the story. Gender doesn’t matter in that regard. Go and watch more naruto if you are so offended about a MC without a dick. P.S- I’m a dude who’s watched way more shows with male MCs than female ones. |

@crystalblade13 Well, if she is NAKED, that explains a lot. It's not like vampire stories repeatedly play with the implications of vampire hunger, yes. Or that anime has ever used loopholes to add fanservice somewhere. And I will write again if this is still not clear. Don't start this argument again if you don't like it (although some will still continue to argue that I am the one deliberately looking for debates). It's not that difficult. Perhaps new episodes would provide some new arguments in favor or against this, but for “some” reason this must be imposed as the only correct theory right NOW. You literally mention the same scenes over and over again because this is only the first episode. @VillettaNuSimp Not all CGDCT shows are all-female and this show isn't CGDCT anime. Because also not all all-female anime are CGDCT. However, PAWORKS did noticeably lower the level of their original titles after their anime like Iroha or AnoHana were replaced by generic adaptations of non-existent CGDCT manga. Especially when they produce two of these shows in one season. For example, if we forget about the generic comparisons to Call of the Night just because of the one flying scene in this episode, you can easily see that this show looks like a more adult and edgy version of Vlad Love (which couldn't even get TV screentime). Especially if it is yuri bait. I don’t have any negative feelings towards this show, but can it earn the same attention and recognition as at least Aquatope or their show about the maids gang? I doubt. |

For someone who's been asleep for 20 years, Live-sama's hair and wardrobe are certainly modern looking. I guess that's the kind of thing fiction usually doesn't worry about but it would have been fun if she woke up looking like a Super Gals character or something |

I doubt.
@RobertBobert it’s possible that there won’t be any actual yuri, and that’s totally fine. I’m just stating that the show clearly is baiting in that direction with the vampire girl so far |

@crystalblade13 Any vampire show has homoeroticism because the modern view of vampires began as a metaphor for sexual desire of varying degrees of taboo (Bram Stoker's Dracula introduced bisexuality, and Carmilla invented lesbian vampires) and the association of vampirism with sexual act. But how literal that will be depends on each individual show, so I don't want to get too far ahead of myself after just one episode. |

I liked it pretty well. The art style is pleasing. The five characters introduced were distinct. Masaki and Live are interesting. Both have faults. Both have big problems. What could go wrong? Definitely sticking around for this one. |

@RobertBobert my guy half the episode was the vampire literally thirsting over the youtuber girl
@WSlav The thing about vampires in fiction is that they are always portrayed in this seductive and luscious manner because of the whole concept of bloodsucking and blood kisses just like their usually charismatic and beautiful appearance are being used to lure in prey. Very similar to succubi, actually. It comes so naturally, you don't even need to force it and it is actually quite hard to portray them without it, so I guess just like in any other All Girl PA Works Original there will be no yuri besides some bait. |
